Carlos is a great hair stylist, -takes his time and stuff: I've been looking around Gurnee and Waukegan area for awhile now and have finally found a good place. He also provides life counseling and spiritual guidance for free. :). The other stylists were talking their time and used strategic precision as well. Here there are no sullen looking goth chicks dressed in black with tons of piercings that had this misguided notion that they would make it big in the hairstyle industry. They suck at cutting hair. Great location for a very nice haircut. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Haircuts are great and the services offered are even better. I'll start by admitting that out of my two son's haircuts here at the same time, one son's haircut was great but I still have to give one star to this place for even employing a single person who is THIS bad at cutting hair. Our appointments were at 10. Both our stylists walked in at 10:20. My one son likes his hair a bit on the longer side. I showed his stylist a picture of him right after a recent haircut as a reference for what we wanted. Y'all. His haircut was SO bad. I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking. When the guy was finished I told him it looked really choppy and uneven and his response was "oh, do you want me to cut it shorter?" I was like lol no you should never take scissors to anyone's head ever for the rest of eternity bye! And took my boy straight to a different salon where he got an adorable haircut that's much shorter than he likes. Anyway, I'm sorry I don't know the stylists's names but anyone who hired this dude to get paid to cut hair should take a long look in the mirror and consider their life choices. Griselda at Hair 4 Cuts is amazing!! She just cut my 2 year olds hair with so much patience. She asked me my preferences along the way, we tried things out together, etc. My son has corse, curly hair and it is NOT easy to cut! She did an amazing job fading the sides up into the curls on top. Then she evened out all of the curls so they look so healthy. The price was very reasonable as well. They even gave me their WiFi so we could distract my son with an iPad. This is a good place in Gurnee when the barbers show up. Been going here for over 4 years and the price is reasonable. Really wish that they would call when someone calls off (workers). That way you don't show up only to find out that your barber isn't there. read more

This place has changed my mind about a haircut. They are really friendly. Got me in really quick. They cut my hair and beard. Washed my hair, steamed my face, razor cut my beard, cut and styled my hair for $26.00!! This is by far the best cut I've ever had. If it wasn't 11 hours away I'd come here for all my cuts. I was able to get a same-day appointment with Filo and wow -- he fixed me up. Without a doubt one of the best haircuts I've had...and at an incredible price. It seemed too good to be true! Unprofessional. I have been coming here for years, and while the stylist are not bad the way they operate is just horrible. You would think with COVID going around they would actually take their time and work around appointments to reduce foot traffic, instead they care about who walks through the door first. Hair4cut is a fantastic barbershop. I travel from downtown chicago to see Filo and Ernesto who are the 2 main stylists. I agree that the wait time regardless of appointments gets to be somewhat long. I've waited anywhere between 30-45 minutes even with an appointment. The staff is extremely friendly and the wait time is always long because they take their time and give each customer individual attention and never treat the customers in an assembly line fashion. Haircut, shampoo, and straightblade cleanup around all the edges all for $15. Doesn't get better than that. Best haircut I've ever gotten and I never go anywhere else. Highly recommended. read more

Awful! I had an appointment and waited 30 minutes. No acknowledgement...NOTHING! Then customers who walked in...AFTER ME... were served almost right away. Either they don't know how to do business or they favor a particular race. It's such a shame because a friend of mine recommended this place. After I left, I called to "cancel" my appointment and told them that I was sitting in there waiting for half an hour and I got no apologies. read more

Nice shop. Average haircut. Had to fix one of my sideburns at home. It was way thinner than the other one and not square at the bottom. My main complaint was they get carried away with the straight razor. It's not necessary to line up middle aged guys temples. I'm not trying to look like Drake.... I'd go back and try one of the other barbers and tell them to tone down the straight razor. read more

I went there for a cut and color. At first the color was not what I expected but I figured I would give it a few days to settle in. I go back asking if they could fix it because it was more of a rusty color on the top instead of the brown I wanted. The stylist said "it looks fine to me." I told him I was not comfortable with it and asked if there was anything he can do to fix it. He said he would have to charge me. I already paid $120 the first time and ended up with something I was not happy with and he wanted to charge me another $60! I will NEVER be going back there. My 2 year and 7 year old boys love to get their hair cut here as well as my husband. Better than the barbershops we have been to in the past and they're friendly and affordable. First time from recommendations from a friend who told me good haircuts here for a really good price. I took my daughter and I for haircuts only. They gave us a shampoo and blow dry after. My daughter is 10. I have long thick hair. I got an inch off, a clean up on my long layers and bang trim. This is usually included in my haircuts elsewhere (layers and bangs that is). My daughter had 1/2 inch trim, no layers no bangs. The business card at desk said women's cuts start from $18. When we were done I was charged $75. With tip I spent $95. I was in shock, paid and left. Won't be back for those prices. So, even if my daughter was charged woman's price of $18 and even if mine were DOUBLED to $36 for long thick hair that would be $54. $75 was insane and unexplainable. I give 3 stars only because the cuts were good. Even if my haircut was $50 alone..$50!! Then they charged me $25 for my daughters half inch straight off the bottom trim? I just can't make sense of this. I got ripped off. :( read more

Address is 1475 Dilleys Road. I have had great haircuts both times there as just a walk-in. Much happier with the results than with the place I had been going to, and they wash my hair and use a straight edge to clean up the edges! Love that! Things are relaxed there and there are only 3 stylists, so you can have a wait while they finish up whomever they are currently working on. I see people post complaints about a wait, but that has been normal to me with any other barber I've gone to. I think women must be used to making appointments and being seen at a set time.
