I went to Alejandro with a Brazilian Blowout groupon last week. Since it's only been a few days I can't give you a full report on the procedure itself and whether it lasts yet. However, I can review my experience thus far: Making the appointment was quick. Since it was a Groupon I did prepare myself to wait awhile for an appt, especially since I needed evening or weekend. However, he got me in right away. The appointment started promptly and went smoothly. He keeps a clean shop and worked efficiently and he's pleasant. As a comment on the procedure itself... I had heard some of these are rather odorous. I didn't smell anything, but when getting hair near my face blow dried my eyes definitely were stinging. Wasn't too bad and only during those few minutes. The next two days, we had huge rainstorms and normally my hair is a nasty EXPLOSION in the rain. I wore it down both days and it still looked great! As long as this holds up for more than a few weeks, I will say it's worth it. read more

At first I was I sure about getting a Brazilian blowout here because the price is so much cheaper than at other places I have gone. I am so glad I took the risk because I got incredible results for under half of what I was paying elsewhere. While living in Dallas, I got several Brazilian blow outs with Alejandro. He did an impeccable job every time. I am an extremely difficult customer, so when I say this man is talented and trustworthy, I mean it. Alejandro's Brazilian blowouts aren't just cheaper than at other salons. They are also better. Other stylists charging over twice as much have damaged my hair severely. April 2012 Alejandro finally sends me a message. Alejandro, I "reviewed" my review as you suggested and found it should stand as written. Sorry Alejandro but as you should know, bad experiences with someone that you don't know regarding your hair generally don't get a call asking you to fix a mess you created...my past experienxes have always proved me correct in this statement. Yelp is a community to help other Yelpers. I give plenty of positive reviews and if you had earned one, you would have received one. You only hurt yourself when you send messages to clients such as the one you sent me. Yelp is a powerful community and if you're in the "service" industry this is a site you should check more often. I'm sure other Yelpers will write more reviews on you (good or bad) one day and will help paint a bigger picture. My daughter and I have been coming to Alejandro for Brazilian blowouts for a year and we love him. I have read Renee's review and although I'm sorry her haircut was bad, you don't go to someone for a haircut for the first time without bringing at least a picture of what you want done and then let the stylist be brutally honest about whether the results you want can be achieved with your hair type or not. After all, scissors are just that and not wands. But we've all had butcher jobs and we move on. I specifically go to Alejandro for a blowout and he's terrific, always making sure we to give us our treatments for the first shampoo @ home. He is located on the ground floor of a highrise condo building in front of the gynormous church @ Northwest Hwy near Preston. Just a small shop with himself and one other stylist - quiet. read more

I am not the review person but this experience made me write one,bought on group on made and appointment was there for appointment but Mr. Alejandro can't be there so he call me and say if I can reschedule since he had emergency( which I understand that can happen)I told him I will check my schedule and give him call back for different date but by that time my group on will expire he said don't worry he will take care of it but when I call to reschedule he said he won't be able to reschedule until one month he made me run around so after certain honest attempt I try to call him as a new customer he offer me appointment for following week,so after confirming time and price and everything I inform him who I am the one trying to use group on for long time so can I use my group on face value and I will pay the difference . He turn around and say oh your price will change to $400 from $125 He gave me such a hard time to date I still haven't used the group on yet.i am not planning to go back I do believe in karma so not looking for anything free. read more

I have been to Alejandro 3 times. My first visit was for a Brazilian blow out. One of my friend got it for me as a gift. I was so happy with the result and since then I have been to Alejandro two more times. Last 2 times was for color and style. I am very happy with his services. Today was the first time I met Alejandro. I went for a Brazilian Blowout, color, and cut and am extremely pleased with the results. I have bounced from place to place trying to find someone I would actually go back to for over 2 years. Alejandro is that person. He is easy to talk to and an excellent stylist. The past few Brazilian Blowouts I have had by other stylists have been subpar. Today, my hair is silky soft and shiny and the color is the best I've had in years. And, like the other reviewers, I can't imagine what happened with Renee's complaint. Alejandro asked me very specific questions, and showed me what he would trim/shape prior to his even putting a scissor to my hair. I HIGHLY recommend him. Even my 14-year old daughter (who is a crazy perfectionist -- please let this be a teenage phase) absolutely loved her hair!! read more

I finally had my appt. on 5/30/15. I have gotten a blowout a couple times already, and was prepared for the burning and stinging. Alejandro, was so pleasant and gentle! He knew exactly what to do and turned my hair zero to hero! His haircut was great as well! I love those millimeter trims and knew exactly what to do! My hair is amazing! I agree 100% with Connie C. Alex is professional, explains everything and does an amazing job. I'm not sure exactly what the process I had is truly called in the business but I call it fantastic, soft, shiny, beautiful hair process. Feels like I lost 10 pounds of heavy hair weight! Totally lowered the natural wave factor and cut the morning dry time to about 5 minutes with no effort at all. What more could you want? Well I guess if you prefer noisy, bustling salons where you're kept waiting and pay for a glass of wine, you'd probably prefer somewhere else. But I like small, quiet, and personal - plus no need to go elsewhere for another treatment when the need arises since Alex doesn't boot you back up to full price and only raises the rates by a reasonable amount. So yes I'm hooked and will def go back! read more

I bought a Groupon for a blow out and hair cut and got it redeemed in August. Had a great experience and went back for a hair cut 6 weeks later. I plan on getting another blow out in November with another cut. Very happy with all my experiences. read more
