I absolutely adore Hao and her work, the moment I came across her yelp I knew that she was the one and no questions asked. I've received a full balayage makeover from my box Dyer red hair and I've been repeatedly turned down by multiple salons from being anywhere close to blonde. I was told that I SHOULD NOT attempt to go blonde and wait until I have virgin hair again which comes around once in a life time for us girlies. Hoa reassured my hairs integrity and explained in detailed of the process and she didn't give me any false hopes but ABOVE AND BEYOND. I had my hair cut by Hao a few months ago and I'm so happy with how it's grown out! My hair is on the thinner side, but she was able to give it volume and texture. If you want to transform your hair game, look no further! I came across Hao's page last November while browsing for a new salon. Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and I wasn't able to get anything done. Flash-forward to present time and a poorly done bleach/box-job later. I finally decided it was time to really treat myself before starting work again. I hadn't had my hair professionally done in a decade so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Before I went to her I had not dyed my hair for 10 years, I just left it black and just simple, a haircut here in there. She did a sun kissed balayage a year ago and it looked amazing! I cannot trust anyone else but Hao with my hair. I spent $300+ to get my virgin hair balayage at a different salon and my hair was BURNT AF! I was traumatized because I looked like a brassy burnt hair lady walking down the street. I made the mistake of dying my hair with BOX hair dye thinking this is the best, cheap and only option for me. When I found out about Hao, I visited her during her 50% off service when she first graduated from cosmo school! At this point I was desperate and poor lol I had to take the offer! One thing I appreciate is how much dedication and passion she puts in her work! Let me tell you why.. First session: My box hair dye?? It took her hooooours to remove that! Luckily my hair was able to lift with no complication but when I say we spent hourssss on my hair.. we did. Well worth it! Second session: I came back to see Hao in December 2017 to get my hair dyed to a lighter brown. Remember my brassy hair..? I'm terrified of going lighter so I try to lean towards the darkish brown! For my first session, I chose permanent dye because I didn't want my hair to fade so fast. She did warn me that if I wanted to re-dye my hair in the future, permanent dye may be difficult to remove if I wanted to go lighter. Disregarding her advice, I still chose permanent dye.. lol it definitely bit both Hao's and I in the butt for my second session. It took us two days to finish my hair. This session I chose Demi-permanent dye and she said it will fade to a lighter ashy brown! Long story short my hair was able to lift and Hao transformed me once again! After 6 months, my hair still looks great! It faded to a beautiful ashy brown! She advised me to use blue shampoo and warm/cold water! I love showering with hot steamy water so when I heard what I needed to do for puuuurty hair.. I had to sacrifice! Thank you Hao for your hard work and dedication! read more

Hao is great! I've boxed dyed my hair countless times and gotten by hair professionally done twice (by the same stylist) before but it never turned out the way I wanted it. I found Hao on Groupon and after seeing her work, I immediately made an appointment with her. The first session went very well. The Groupon was for a full balayage, hair conditioning, and haircut. When I got to my appt, we did a quick consultation on what I wanted and what she could do with what I currently had. The hair dying process was straight to the point. She's was super nice so she was really easy to talk to. She was able to get my hair super light without frying it even though it was only my first session.
