First off, started off with great ambiance and a warm welcome. I brought my mom in for a cut and color with Alexander. I love how much time he spent getting to know her hair and what would work best for her. I left mom for a bit as they got started and when I returned, I watched him transform her into a completely different human. Alexander Antonio is an artist. Owner called me about trying to fit me in for a blow out. Said he'd "call me right back". Never did. Ended up having to go to FS to hair done. I get you, you get what you pay for. But I was willing to pay more, knowing that I was trying to come in as a "emergency walk in". Lesson learned about this town and its sense of urgency, THERE IS NONE. I spent almost $200 including tip for a cut and color that I absolutely hated. The stylist kept leaving me to go work on another clients hair at the same time. I didn't realize until later, that this other client was a stylist that also worked at the salon. Definitely not cool. She was paying much more attention to this other stylist than she was to me. When I left the salon I got home and had color all over the headrest of my car. I realized that she had Rinsed my hair after color, but had not shampooed it and I had color everywhere. The cut was the most uneven cut I have ever had. I ended up going to another salon to have it corrected. read more

After going to so many salons in Prescott after moving here, I was impressed by a Facebook post Joey wrote telling about his salon, Hair By Joey." I liked that the salon was close to our home in Hassayampa, so I made an appt with Kaitlin for color and cut. My hair is short and I need BLENDED layers, with some texturizing in areas. I have never had such a horrible haircut and style in my life‼ I was shocked to pay $265 for what I got! When I went to the restroom, I noticed a note from Joey in there. He stated if for any reason you weren't happy to please call him and he gave his cell number. At that point I had foils in and could never imagine how bad the outcome would be! I went straight home after that appointment to get a hat to hide my hair so I could run my errands! The next day I called the stylist in Anthem I have gone to since moving to Arizona 45 years ago! I just wanted to try and find someone local. I went to him and when cutting my hair he held it up and there was a 1-2 inch difference in lengths! He "fixed" it the best he could. It's a long drive for me to go there round trip, but I've been doing it! I'm sure there are some good stylists at Hair by Joey, but I didn't get a good one! read more
