I told her that if it was an issue, I could simply request a refund, but she said no and continued with the appointment. Throughout the service, I felt very uncomfortable. She kept bringing up how reasonable her regular prices are and commented that using Groupon is fine "as long as it's not often." I even asked why she still offers services through Groupon if she's unhappy with the payout. She said she had been meaning to remove her listings but never got around to it. I came in for a haircut and highlights. I explained that I rarely get my hair done and wanted a change, but I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. I was hoping for some professional guidance. Instead, she had me look through her Instagram photos and pointed me toward one of the most subtle highlight examples with darker tones. The entire appointment felt rushed, and my hair was handled roughly several times. During the shampoo, my entire back ended up soaked. By that point, I felt so overwhelmed and uncomfortable that I just wanted the appointment to be over. Looking back, I should have left as soon as she started expressing her frustration about the Groupon voucher. No client should be made to feel guilty or uncomfortable for using a promotion that the business chose to offer. When she asked if I liked my hair, I said yes because I don't like confrontation, but the overall experience left me disappointed. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this salon based on how I was treated.

Found this business trough Groupon. I needed a dye and cut BADLY…read more Melina's salon is located in Phenix Salon Suites. There are about 150 salons located in this building which provide a mixture of hair and other services like makeup application or skin care. Melina's suite is just right for two people to be in. There's a chair in the room in case someone comes with you, but I definitely wouldn't bring anyone else because the suite is that small, but very cutely decorated. Melina started on my hair right away. She got my hair dyed and cut and styled within 90 minutes so that I didn't have to pay for parking. She's a good listener and she provided suggestions on my hair which I appreciated. I wasn't that crazy though about how she washed my hair. I've had better scalp massages. Parking is nearby, just a short walk away located in a structure. Would I come back or recommend this place? Most definitely.

I've had some pretty terrifying hair coloring experiences but after seeing her work, especially the before & after photos she's been posting, I knew I should give her a try. My roots had grown own a lot and I had about a million different shades in my hair. She asked me what my goal was and if I have any photos as example. I told her I wanted to go blonder and I want this brassy / orange look to be gone. I also showed her a photo I had found off of Pinterest. Usually when I ask for lighter roots and highlights the stylists do the highlights and then touch up the roots between the foils. But not Anasheh! She gave it to me straight. She was very honest about the fact that if she did that then I'll still have some discoloration and not an even blend. In order to achieve the color I wanted she had to color my roots and bring it down more, wash & dry, and then start highlighting. She told me to go with 7.11 level which is darker but will look lighter once highlights are added. She was so confident in the process in which she was describing that made me feel comfortable and confident to know I'm in great hands. And so we began. She colored my roots, I waited about 35 minutes. She washed and dried my hair and started on highlighting top half of my head. That process also took very quick. I waited another 40 minutes or so and then she washed my hair again. *drum rolls* moment of truth: I LOVE MY HAIR! Did I really just say that? I've never said that so passionately walking out of a salon. Anasheh literally brought my hair back to life. The color was exactly what I wanted and showed her in the photo. She is a true artist. The blending technique she used made my highlights blend in so well. I love love love my hair. I'm so happy I have found the right person got my hair. I'm forever going to her for my hair. Needless to say I highly recommend her :)

Because of her work, my hair is now long and healthy. Other people would do my blowouts and it would last only 2-3 months but with her, it's straight for 2-3 months and the frizz is going for 6-8 months. Initially I had chosen another h&m artist for my engagement shoot because that artist had more Asian clients in her portfolio and I was concerned about having a makeup artist who was familiar eye makeup for Asian faces. Wedding vendors can be so expensive nowadays, but I realized that you really do get what you pay for and Kelli is definitely worth her prices and she provides a quality of service that any bride would hope to receive during her big day. MAN I WISHED I HAD CHOSEN KELLI FROM THE START! Email exchanges were smooth and she is highly responsive and professional. She come to my home (for a travel fee) and did my trial for my bridal shower back in June 2019. She was so easy to talk to, friendly, understanding, and really listened to my concerns/requests- she's everything you could hope for in a wedding hair and makeup artist. She is truly talented at using makeup to showcase YOUR natural beauty (just look at her portfolio!). Also, she doesn't rush and really takes her time to ensure that her clients feel comfortable, the the makeup feels good on them, and really knows how to calm a crazy anxious bride down when they are freaking out on their wedding day.
