PERFECT! is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Pawnee's service. After my friend stopped doing hair, I've been hopping around different hair stylists and for years, I haven't really found the one I'd really come back to until now. Finally, I found my new go-to hair stylist :D First off, after requesting an appointment through Yelp, she responded right away. I bombarded her with questions coz 1. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with my hair (I just know I wanted to go back to my healthy dark hair), 2. I don't have much money to splurge on my hair. She patiently answered all my questions, and even went through the trouble of sending my pictures to better explain to me what toning my hair would entail. I basically had a hair consultation via text, which was so convenient and helpful. I already felt comfortable going to her prior to our meeting just based on our conversation. As for price, it was definitely reasonable and worth it!! Now, on to the hair. When I arrived, we went over the details on how I want my hair cut and the color and look I'm going for. She seriously went into detail of measuring how much I want my hair cut and explaining the outcomes of my decision. Same with the color, she helped me choose which brown color to get and explained the underlying colors involved with the color I chose. Idk if anyone else have experienced this but there have been soo many times when I have gone to a hair stylist and we go over the look in the beginning but in the end, it doesn't look the way I expected. That's not the case here. My hair ended up being exactly what I wanted. Didn't even need to have her re-cut or re-color my hair. After she was done, I was literally thinking "WOW! It's perfect!". She literally listened to everything I requested and executed it the way I wanted. So overall, great experience! I would definitely come back the next time I'm feeling a new look. My hair was super damaged, dull, and had an orange tint to it, so I went in and asked for some inches to be chopped off and to get rid of that orange color. Phany did a BEAUTIFUL job. The first time I went to Pawnee I was very happy with the turnout. She did a full crown of highlights and a toner. Again, I was beyond happy. The second time it wasn't the case. I wanted a medium brown but got dark brown instead and also my hair turned green!! I take partial responsibility for it because I wanted a more permanent tint which is why she used permanent color instead of toner. She was nice enough to offer to fix it, however, when she fixed it, only some of the green went away and I am now left with dark brown hair with patches of brown. I am very disappointed with the results because it looks like I attempted to color my hair at home and didn't buy enough hair dye to cover everything. Also, my hair feels very "rough" She is a very nice person however, I will not be going back to her. I will wait until ULTA opens to get it fixed. read more
