She can do natural hair, curly hair, braids, sew ins, etc. Shauna recently became certified and trained to do eyelash extensions in her shop. She recived quite a bit of damage during Hurricane Harvey, so she recently opened a new shop location which is bigger and better than the previous one. Her personality is so welcoming and inviting. Getting your hair done here feels like being at a family members home visiting. I would definitely recommend giving her a try for all of your hair care needs.

My Loctitian is thorough, I love the way she washes and conditions my hair and all the special attention and care she puts into keeping my hair together until the next appointment. I was a regular client of Tina's for about a year and some change…read more I was always happy with my hair and service--she was on time, professional, and my silk presses were beautiful. She also seemed to be knowledgable about hair health and prioritized it, offering advice for at-home care. I assumed she'd address my concerns if/when they arose, but this was NOT the case. As I got closer to the one-year mark, I started noticing a concerning amount of broken hair--all over my bathroom floor, on my shoulders, EVERYWHERE. My hair had become so fragile that it would snap every time I touched it. When I brought this to her attention, she would ask ME what was I doing. I was a regular coming in every two weeks; she was the only person who'd washed, treated, and styled my hair in a year. I got the impression that she was completely avoiding responsibility. I'd show her pictures of the broken hair and demonstrate its fragility while sitting in the chair. She still insisted that nothing was wrong. Having received heat damage from a stylist before, I knew my hair had to be responding negatively to the constant silk presses and curling. Of course, she insisted that the heat wasn't the cause, and appeared unenthusiastic when I suggested heatless styles. She was only willing to space out my appointments and try different hair masks. I finally decided to end services with her. I'm now sitting here with unrecognizable heat damaged hair that will have to be aggressively cut, trimmed, and treated. The breakage stopped after I applied an Aphogee treatment myself. I first walked into her salon with long hair I could throw over my shoulder. As a result of her services, I'm a little past the collar bone. What angers me the most is that I asked her from day one: how often can I get a silk press without heat damage? Asked her repeatedly. Stressed that heat damage was a major concern for me because I was just beginning to enjoy heat damage free hair. Instead of being honest, she told me that my hair would be fine, going as far as explaining why I wouldn't experience damage. I'm giving her 2 stars because, as I mentioned earlier, I enjoyed the service. She does wonderful silk presses. I never saw her doing anything suspicious to my hair. But she ended up not being a good long-term choice for me because she shut down my concerns, wasn't completely truthful, and ultimately ruined my hair.
