I love this location!! They are so friendly and nice. You can show them a picture and explain how you want something and it gets done the way you want it and in a way that looks amazing. You don't get told 'you can't do that'. I'm not one for an exactly as the picture looks because I feel everyone is different and when you have a stylist create something on you, why not give them some creative room . But the other Hair Cuttery locations I've been to I've been rushed or told 'no, you can't do that. You have to do this.' I'll definitely be back here from now on. No other locations for me read more

Shara was a good per to talk to, but after the haircut I had hair all over me and this is after a Shampoo. also from getting the shampoo my shirt got soaking wet, i didn't notice this until I sat down in my car. this is the third time I had crazy service. I hesitate rating when I never actually managed to get my hair cut here but, reading through some of the other reviews, it seems pretty clear that lots of people are going and not getting any help. I was wandering around in the middle of the day on a weekday and figured I'd get my hair cut - when I signed in, they said it'd be 30 mins. I thought it was crazy that a next-to-empty store (literally one other customer and four "working" stylists) would make you wait that long, but figured I wasn't in a hurry. 45 mins later, I was still sitting there! The stylists were sitting and talking, but I guess that took priority. Eventually I left. I'd give it one star, but that seemed unfair considering I never actually got my hair cut. For guys, I'd recommend Towne Barbers on Main Street; they took me right away and cost less than Hair Cuttery was charging. read more

I am giving this salon 1 star, but only because it will not let me write a review with 0 stars. I came into this facility today at approximately 1pm for cuts for myself and my two children. I had been there before for my children's haircuts and was impressed with what I had seen, so I decided to give the salon a try for my hair. Initially, my hair was to the middle of my back, thick, and curly; my stylist commented on all three facts during my shampoo, leading me to believe that she was knowledgeable on how to cut my hair. During the consultation after the shampoo, I explained that I knew I had some dead ends, but that I wanted approximately 2-3 inches cut off, as well as adding some long layers in. She said "okay" and the cutting commenced. When she finished cutting one side, she asked what I thought of the length, but she had only cut about 1.5 inches, so I told her it was okay to take another 1.5 off. After she cut the additional length off of what was originally cut, she began cutting the right side of my hair. When she asked me what I had thought after that side was cut, I compared the two sides and noticed that, while 3 inches had been cut off of the left side like I had asked, approximately 5-6 inches had been cut off of the right side leaving it noticeably uneven. Once I pointed this out (she did not notice on her own), she replied with "Okay, I see what you mean" and she began cutting the left again to try to make it even. This ended up taking a total of 6 inches off of my hair when I only wanted 3. Once she was finished cutting the layers into my hair, I was concerned about not only the length, but whether or not the layers were even at all. I asked her to blow my hair out straight so that we could see how it looked dry. Once she was finished drying my hair, it was extremely noticeable that there were what looked like shelves to me. The lines were visibly defined between the layers. She began asking me about texturizing my hair, to which I informed her that due to the thickness and curliness of my hair, wasn't a great idea. When I have had that was done in the past, it left me with a very poofy, almost broken look. She went through her sections again, commenting to herself how this was a "good cut" and everything "looked fine". Becoming visibly flustered, she told me that she was going to ask another stylist what her thoughts were on how to blend the area between the layers. The other stylist came over to help blend it out, beginning to texturize it as I had asked them not to. I commented on this, but the second stylist told me that because I had thick, curly hair, layers don't always look right. At 30 years old, I have ALWAYS had long layers and pointed this out to her, and she continued texturizing. As I saw more and more hair being cut off of my head, I began to tear up and asked them to stop because I was extremely concerned with their abilities to handle thick, curly hair. The two stylists agreed to stop cutting, but continued to tell me that it was a good cut and that it looked fine. I was charged the full amount for my hair cut and wasn't given any consolation, including words, for having a haircut that was extremely choppy and twice as short as I had initially asked for. I will not be visiting this facility again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends/family due to the lack of understanding one's limitations on specific types of hair and lack of customer service for an unsatisfied client. read more

We have taken my son here twice and will never go back. After washing it the first time, you could clearly see it was cut on an angle in the front. There was a half inch difference between the two sides of his face. We chose someone different the next time and told her we were having family pictures and wanted his length maintained, just to clean it up and fix the front angle. He walks out with the sides buzzed and front long. I now have to move our pictures because he looks nothing like himself. I'm furious and will never return. I can't believe we got two different stylists who can't cut. read more

You get what you pay for. A shampoo, conditioner treatment, hair cut and a half attempt at blow drying my hair. The cut was fine, she globbed all this stuff on my roots and ends, which in return made me look like a greasy mess. My hair was still wet in most parts, not blown out right at all. The stylist who I used to go to did a wonderful job blowing out my hair because I have curly hair, she no longer works there and I can't track her down so I figure I'll try to give Hair Cuttery a shot and now I see why their haircuts are so cheap. I don't feel like I should have to complain on something so simple as blow drying somebody's hair when you have a license! I didn't feel like arguing or telling the girl was shotty job she did I just left and now here I am in my bathroom trying to fix my own hair I'm probably going to end up having to wash my hair and get the stuff out of it and then I guess blow dry it myself. what a waste of money! read more

I don't often write negative reviews, but my experience here deserves it. When you come in, you sign yourself up for a waiting list on an ipad they have. I had the barcode key thingy from last time, so it autopopulated my data, saving me the headache. That part was cool. I guess. I am not sure why all this is needed. Why do you need my name and data for a haircut? Oh well, not within the scope of my review. Anyways. I sign up, and sit down. My 2 kids are with me. We sit in a waiting area with a few people in it. There are two young ladies working the front desk and chatting away with each other. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I decide it will have to happen another day. I stand up and begin to walk out with my kids, when this older lady comes to the front and says "Are you JIM?" I say yes, expecting her to say its my turn. Nope. She glares at me and says " I called your name out 10 minutes ago"....I was sort of surprised by her approach and tone. I challenged that, as I had been sitting there the whole time. She counters back again, "I looked you directly in your eyes"....and I swear, I have never seen this woman before in my life. I told her "Lady, I have no idea who you are, we have never had a conversation, and I have sat here for 20 minutes and did not hear my name one time." She responded with a glare, she shook her head in a nonverbal expression of her thoughts, and walked to the back of the store. I resumed my walk out the front. I will never go back to this business again, I would suggest a refresher course on how to talk to customers, because if they keep speaking to clients this way, they are going out of business soon. read more

I've been here several times with no issues. Some stylists are better than others. I haven't waited too long most times but if it's busy I know it's up to me to wait or come back another time. It's a good values for the money. read more
