You get what you pay for. I have never received anything close to as good of a haircut from anyone else. I have extremely thick hair which can be hard to manage, especially when it's long. And when she styles my hair after the cut, it's always amazing and will probably be still almost perfect the next day. (You can make the style work for you for like 3-4 days with small touch ups) Jenna did my hair for prom, which was in 2013, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she blew my mind with more than I could have hoped for. On Monday, the day before my appointment, I received a reminder email from Vagaro but there was no option to cancel through the platform. I called the salon but it's closed on Monday so I sent Bauhaus a message through Vagaro explaining that I needed to reschedule the appointment. On Tuesday morning, 7 minutes after they opened, I tried calling again but the line was busy, so I left a voicemail. A few minutes later, someone from Bauhaus called me and I assumed they were calling me back to reschedule. Nope. They said that because I didn't cancel my appointment within 24 hours, they are billing me for 50% of the service I booked. I explained that I'd left a message via Vagaro and that I left a voicemail this morning. "You should have left a voicemail yesterday." Specific instructions to leave a voicemail instead of a Vagaro message aren't stated anywhere. I made multiple efforts in good faith to reschedule my appointment and let the salon know that I would not be making my 10am today. "I can't rebook you until you've paid the 50% cancellation fee." That's a shame. I have no problem paying the fee if it will be applied as a credit to my next service, but paying it as a penalty when the salon's booking systems don't support its cancellation/rescheduling policy is deeply unfair.
