Clean environment. Prices are comparable to other chains in the area. You can usually get an appointment fairly quickly by scheduling online, calling in or they also take walk ins. The staff is very friendly, but every time I leave after a haircut I end up having to touch up areas because the hair is uneven in areas. read more

I didn't even get to my SCHEDULED appointment at 1pm on Saturday . Apparently, my stylist has "poor time management" skills (according to her peer) and took a walk in prior to my appointment whose services left me with 2 options, either come back on Monday (which was pushed several times after I said I couldn't come back Monday - like the answer would change the more times they said it) or move the appointment to 5pm, which I also couldn't do because I have plans, hence making a 1pm appointment. I'm only giving 2 stars because I can't actually rank the work ALYSSA would have done because my appointment was not treated as, you know, an appointment. I can also not rank how ALYSSA handled herself in this situation since she didn't bother to come speak to her client herself and instead sent another stylist as her representative. Whoever that stylist was made Alyssa look ridiculous and used the words "poor time management" to describe the situation. Not a good look. Won't be back. read more

My husband stopped by tonight and had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! He has been here multiple times without an issue but this was his first cut by Karen AND SHE CUT INTO HIS SKIN when she did the hard-part! He told her it hurt during when she was sliding the razor back and forth on his head for the hard-part and she didn't apologize. He came home and the line was bleeding so I called to speak to her and her response was "well he wasn't bleeding when he left." Never once did she apologize. She claims she's been there since they opened the salon and has been at hair cutters the longest but this the type of service she provides?!?! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND KAREN AT THIS LOCATION!!! Called and made an appointment for a shampoo and conditioner only. Upon arrival I asked if they could use a clarifying shampoo as their was some product build up. My daughter is a curly girl. Stylist shampooed once and when I checked the hair was still dirty. I asked for a second shampoo. Hair was still dirty after that. By this time I'm annoyed. She then proceeded to try and detangle her hair with no conditioner using the wrong brush. I asked her to please use a wide tooth comb or a paddle brush, she took out a hair pic. At check out the bill came to $31. I asked why and she said that she was shampooed twice using a clarifying shampoo which costs more. Not once did she indicate that it costs extra to use a different shampoo. I expressed my concerns to the manager on duty who didn't seem to care at all. I paid my bill and left. They need more training in proper customer communication and ethnic hair care. read more

If you like to be insulted then this is the place for you!!! The only reason I came here is because I am not from Jacksonville and simply needed a quick trim. The entire time she had nothing but negative things to say about my hair including comments on the way it was cut before to the balayage color, to how unhealthy it is. My normal hair stylist is someone I have been seeing for 10+ years and who is a highly respected and extensively trained colorist - much more skilled than the people working here. "This place is the worst for getting haircuts. I've been there twice and there's crappy service and stylist that don't know what there doing. It's actually pretty painful to get a haircut there. The stylist don't listen to what you tell them and in my case they cut it to short! Would not recommend this to a friend. read more

Place can use a little more class, some of the stylist are ok but they have a huge turn around, don't know how they get along but if the turn around is due to that they need to get people who can work better with each other. My original stylist was from this location and he had the audacity to get promoted!! His new salon is about 30 minutes from me but I really needed a trim. It's going to be 91 tomorrow and I needed shorter tresses. I walked in here with little to no expectations out of sheer desperation/laziness. I was immediately greeted warmly and was handed over to Leighann. She really took the time and asked a lot of questions about how I style my hair, how did I want my layers, how much did I want cut off.. I was impressed by the easy going and thorough consultation. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. She answered all of my questions and I really felt like I was in the hands of a professional. My hair came out perfectly and I really have nothing bad to say about the experience at all. I will definitely go back to see my original stylist at his new location but I'm glad to have found someone nearby I can rely on as well. read more

You've got to be kidding me. First off, I'm a guy. I went in there after a year of not getting my hair cut. It wasn't that long but I needed a nice cut. I showed the woman cutting my hair a picture of how it used to look. She then starts going on with the cut. She wasn't really paying attention, and starting cutting straight short parts around my ears. I was very confused because this was nothing like I told her too. Then she was wrapping up, I noticed my hair was super short on the sides and long in the front. She told me "I know you liked your hair in that picture, but you're young so I figured I would give you something more fresh, like a supermodel." .... If I'm going to pay fifteen dollars for someone to cut my hair and not even follow simple directions I might as well pay a blind person to cut my hair. it would have been the same. I cannot believe how horrible it STILL is. It's been almost two months since I went in and it still has not grown into itself. Awful, awful. Never again going here, and I've made sure to tell people not too. read more
