I'm extremely disappointed with this experience. I scheduled an 8:00 AM haircut and arrived with my stylist at 7:50 AM, and didn't get into the building until 9am. Another stylist showed up along with another client (a total of 4 clients) waiting outside in the rain. On December 3rd, I received a perm service from Arturo Roque Martinez (License #CL1264779) at the Biscayne Boulevard location (1788 Biscayne Blvd, Miami). What should have been a routine hair service turned into a nightmare that has significantly impacted my personal and professional life.The perm completely destroyed my hair. It came out fried and frizzy and brassy--not curly, but chemically damaged. Even the stylist looked shocked at the result. I was so concerned during the service that I took photos while it was being done, which turned out to be crucial.When I returned the next day, another stylist named Niki (recommend her!) reviewed those photos and confirmed something alarming: Arturo didn't use perm rollers at all. He used setting rollers, which would never produce a perm result and were entirely inappropriate for a chemical perm service. This wasn't just a bad outcome--this was using the wrong tools for a chemical treatment, which constitutes clear negligence. I contacted the company right up to the CEO, Eric Bakken, they really don't care. They offered some conditioning treatments but their products are low quality and each time I left my hair looked worse, so i stopped going. This has been devastating. It's negatively impacting my work, where i need to look professional. And believe, me, I don't. I've lost confidence and self-esteem. I've stayed home from professional events and spent untold amounts of money and time on products trying to repair the damage. I've sought second opinions from two other salons, both confirming that the damage is so severe nothing can be done to fix it for at least 6 months.This is a clear-cut case of negligence--a stylist using entirely wrong equipment for a chemical service, causing severe, irreparable damage. I have extensive photo documentation: before, during (showing the wrong rollers being used), after, and the ongoing damage. I've just filed a formal complaint with the Florida State Board of Cosmetology. Please, please avoid this place. read more

This guy Mitch was more interested in chatting then keeping my haircut a bit more symmetrical. I don't have much hair and I'm older, but this guy totally lopsided my haircut with the left side two fingers, thick and the right side one finger thick. I've never had a worse haircut in my life, and I would recommend this yakking barber stick to trimming sheep. I didn't really realize it until I got home and after I really looked and checked in the mirror, this guy screwed up my head and I would never recommend this inept person to touch anyone's hair. So I made an appt for the day of and showed up on time. I did have to wait a little, there was 2 stylist, both had clients. Both clients left happy and as I waited didn't have any complaints. I typically would go get my haircut somewhere "nicer" or more expensive (you get what you pay for, right?), but I didn't want to wait for appt and had the mindset that I was going to get my haircut and it was going to be today before I changed my mind. It's been 3.5 years before my last cut and very few and far between my whole life. I wanted short and I knew if I waited, I prob wouldn't have done it. Anyways, the male stylist finished first and approached me about what I wanted done. He was not friendly at first, he didn't seem like he wanted to communicate or even that he wanted to be there. He didn't care that I was nervous and didn't really want to answer any of my questions. He directed me to sit into the chair for a wash, so I did. He washed my hair and then directed me to the haircut chair. A chair which wasn't cleaned nor sanitized after the guy before me. I transferred into the chair and asked for a "bob style, shoulder length", he said "straight would be better" for me, I assume because he didn't want to have to do much work, or couldnt, so I agreed and held my breath, here goes nothing, I'm committed at this point. He proceeds to cut my hair in 3 parts. Back and then both sides. I asked for a few inches and we could go shorter if I wanted. At this point he was starting to ask me questions and was a little more friendly. Not that it mattered, I was still nervous as heck. All in all I wouldn't go back but I wasn't too disappointed. They live up to their name. I had long hair growing out for 4 years. I came before going to work on Monday because my split ends desperately needed cutting and I didn't have time except on a Sunday to come in. I told her I only wanted my split ends cut, and she said and pointed at me how much she would cut, just 1 inch-- I agreed, until I paid, walked out and tried putting my hair to the front like I always do-- and felt it at least 4 inches shorter. My long hair --- GONE. In one second. I cried when I got home. This shouldn't happen. I understand you get what you pay for but what the actual fuck. I asked for split ends cut not a whole ass hair cut. Never letting a woman trim my hair again. Now I'm making an even costlier appointment to get extensions done because I will absolutely not be walking around with short hair looking like I'm back in high school. It wasn't the same after last month ago, my husband came to Haircuttery for haircut which his hairstylist never answered his texts or phone call.. My husband drove all way back to MBSOBE wifhout haircut it was devastating experience for him! From what I've seen they are rightfully adamant about wearing masks and will emphasize safety first. Last time I waited on a chair outside, but didn't mind it at all. H.C. gives a great cut at a very affordable price for men, even though it's mostly women lining up to goo-color-n-style. I got a haircut here and they gave me a bob on one side of my hair after asking for layers in the front. They cut my hair so short and at the same length. I went back so they can fix it but I had to come at a later time because if they cut more it was going to look worse of how short it was. Well, I came back and the manager Laura refused to give me the cut to cut the front to not only even it out but to also fix it. She threatened me and said if I seat down that she will charge me. This used to be my go-to salon. Stephanie always did an absolutely incredible job with the color/cut of my hair. Ever since she left 6 months ago, I have not been able to find someone who can cut or color my hair well - it is quite disappointing. I have to go back in multiple times because the color does not stay. Once when I went they ran out of shower caps (to lock in the color before rinsing it out) and they tried to attach a plastic bag to my hair. Needless to say the color dripped under the bag and on to my face and it was a giant mess. They are often behind schedule which is very frustrating as a customer with a busy schedule. I have tried this place several times since Stephanie's departure enough is enough - I will not be going back. read more

The service requested was not done properly. My daughter and I went in for a signature cut, but really all we needed was to cut a little and refresh the ends. We asked the stylist (QUEEN) to follow the same pattern cut (in V shape) and to keep our long hair style. We both have healthy and long hair. She cut way more than We asked her too, and ended up with short (chopped) and uneven cuts, a simple straight cut, instead of the V-shape. We are both NOT happy with the results. We ended up coming back 5 minutes after leaving the salon because after I inspected my hair more carefully, I noticed my ends were uneven, so we went back to ask the stylist to at least fix it a little. She couldn't figure out how to cut in "V" shape, or make it even, one of her co-workers had to jump in to help, to at least fix the unevenness. Therefore, I do not recommend the service. Stephanie was unbelievably great. After a previous experience that was very negative with a different stylist, Stephanie completely turned my experience around. I'd felt sad and complacent about how it turned out and the lack of care the previous stylist put in. But now I LOVE my haircut because Stephanie was extremely thorough and thoughtful of how she cut and styled it. She also educated me on what to expect when I style it myself. I see exactly why she is considered a master. She was also super sweet and very charming. I can tell by her demeanor and by the way the other employees interacted with her that Stephanie is a well-liked, effective and kind manager. When she called me to right the wrong of the previous stylist, she was incredibly empathetic and took ownership and did everything in her power to correct it. The service I received from her guarantees I will come back here. I really can't rave enough about Stephanie. You have an amazing stylist, manager and human being working for you.
