Update: My daughter had another cut at this location this time by Michele. She was fantastic! My daughter is trying to grow out part of her bangs and she cut them in a way that other stylist would know that part of her hair wasn't part of her bangs. Okay so I don't know why but, the first time I went there like a few months ago I didn't like the haircut, my hair looked exactly the same as when I walked in, I had to go get it fixed by someone else. The second time I went in was the other day for some easy layering, I even payed more for a more experienced person, and I got home and my mom was like "what is going on with your hair the layers are so choppy" and I was like maybe because my hair is lighter now you can see more layering. WRONG!!!! I went and looked in the mirror and I gasped at how horrible my hair looked, some layers on one side of my head are really high then on the other side it's lower?? It's not even like good layering... it's like stairs almost. My mom said there's no fixing it because if we tried to fix it I'd have like no hair left.... and now I have to grow my hair back out and wait to get my hair cut again. read more

My daughter and granddaughter and I wanted to get our hair done for a special night out. We all got our hair shampoo, cut and blow dried. We called an hour before going and immediately got an appointment. I was paired with Michelle and found her to be very knowledgeable about hair and in my case naturally curly hair. I just needed a trim but Michelle found old layers in my hair and trimmed those as well to get my hair growing out the old layers. Went in and asked for a trim and eyebrow wax. I was very happy with the trim but the woman did not in ANY WAY listen to what I said about my eyebrows. I prefer my eyebrows thick, so I said clean up the outlying hairs around them and noted that I hadn't got waxed since my last disaster. She then proceeded to over wax and left me with two extremely thin lines. After telling her that I was displeased she then rebutted with very unprofessional comments and noted that she "Didn't know what to tell me". Had a hair cut and color today with Jessica; asked to have my eyebrows colored and was told she could not do that (she would lose her license) I explained to her I have been coming to the Hair Cuttery for sometime now and they have always done my eyebrows with a hair coloring, only to be told she could not do it. I asked if I could have the remainder of the color in a cup so that I could take it home and do it myself; She refused!!! I do not think I will be back to do business with them again! If I could have given half a star, I would have. My 18-year-old daughter wanted a pixie cut. She had a laptop with her, and showed the stylist pictures of pixie cuts, with hair touching the eyebrows, and sides about 3 inches long. The stylist gave the shortest haircut I've ever seen on a girl! The top is an inch long, and the sides are shaved! OMG! The stylist's response, when my daughter made a shocked comment, was "You said you wanted it short!" It's SO short! We won't go back to Hair Cuttery. My daughter is in tears. read more

For years, I had a bad opinion of this place because of unfriendly service and regretable haircuts. I have been going to the one in Annapolis and never had an issue there. Last night, I needed a cut desparetly last minute and didn't have time to go to my regular one in Annapolis so I showed up to the SP store around 8 (still an hour before close). I was not greeted. I sat for about 10 minutes before a stylist acknowleged my presense and she said there was one ahead of me and it would be a 20 minute wait. I was okay with that so I waited. Then, the two stylists started complaing that they weren't going to get out on time and that they never had time to eat dinner. Their sassy, passive-agressiveness was so unprofessional. I understand what it's like to work in customer service and having clients show up in the last hour but you should never make a client feel uncomfortable being there! I have an extremely busy schedule and that was my only time that week I had free. I walked right out of there. SO argvoated. I will never step foot into this store again. I immediatelymade an appointment for my regular place in Annapolis for the next day. read more
