Saniyyah has been doing my hair for over two years now and I can't recommend her enough. She is knowledgeable, professional, kind, willing to work with you, and passionate about what she does. We have tried many different toners and cuts over the years and she has helped me find the perfect hair for me. In the weeks leading up to my wedding, I was in and out constantly because of indecision in my part and she was patient and helped me have my dream hair for that day. My hair is bleached and very long, and she always helps me maintain both my hair's health and length. She has also helped me find great products to use at home to keep it strong and damage free between appointments. She also cuts my husband's hair and she always does a great job. He has wavy hair that he likes to keep around 2-3 inches and doesn't like the results clippers give him. They have tried a ton of haircuts over the three years he has been going to her, and he has never had a bad cut. She does an excellent scissor cut on men's hair who want to keep it shorter but not lose their length and texture, which is in pretty hot demand among Gen-Z guys these days, so if your son/brother/friend/bf/spouse mentions needing a better barber, send him to Saniyyah and make him switch to a hair stylist. Went in for a haircut, which I thought would be between $45-50. It ended up being $60. Wasn't sure because normally the salons I go to are on the higher end, but couldn't get an appointment and my hair was driving me crazy.walked in and it was just ok. Run of the mill salon quick haircut place. The girl that did my hair seemed like she knew what she was talking about. I showed her pictures and she seemed confident enough, so I let her go the whole time. She asked me if I wanted short or long layers, and then told me she'd be cutting my hair dry then after she washes it, she'll go back in. This is when I started to feel a little concerned. No one has EVER done that in my 44 years of life. And no she didn't do any cutting after she washed my hair. There was no other consultation done other than the layers question. I don't know why I let her keep going after she started cutting. I should've known better. I found myself telling her things like how I style my hair in the hopes for a recovery of the haircut from hell. No luck. My hair is now blunt with no body, which were two things I said that I did NOT want. I will never go back. read more

I really wanted to have a positive experience here, especially since I had just removed my hair extensions and was trying to transition back to my natural hair carefully. Unfortunately, the outcome didn't match the services or charges. I booked a partial balayage with gloss/toner and was charged for additional length and multiple add-ons, despite having fine hair that is not particularly long or dense. One side of the balayage processed well, while the other side barely lifted, leaving the color uneven. I was also disappointed with the haircut -- too much length was taken from the front, layers were added that don't suit fine hair, and the overall shape feels uneven. As someone who is very cautious with hair health, this was especially upsetting. The service itself was polite, but the result and pricing felt mismatched. I'm sharing this feedback so others with fine hair can be extra clear during consultations, and in hopes that management reviews how services and add-ons are being applied. Came here to get a blowout for a wedding. Stylist charged $35 for just blow drying my hair. I have gotten blowouts before for the same price and came out with volume and curls. This time there was no volume and when I asked to get curls I was told it was more $$. Also, I found out this same stylist asked my husband if he was a "Daddy Bear" when he went in previously for a haircut. Highly unprofessional! This might have been one of the worst haircuts ive gotten in my life, the lady tried to finish the haircut up in less than 5 minutes without showing me the back when i asked to see and noticed she didnt even blend anything properly and there was vertical streaks on the back of my head that she didnt care to even address until i pointed it out, i asked her twice for tapered but she kept forgetting and just left my cut looking a bit incomplete seemed like she just wanted me out of there as fast as apossible its very unprofessional if youre going to charge almost 30$ just for a simple cut and then beg for a tip afterwards, definitely not going to hair cuttery ever again after that experience. The lady had black hair she was a european type old lady i wish i got her name so i could put it one here but definitely avoid this location unless you enjoy bad haircuts. read more

I have been to different Hair Cutterys and had decent experiences, but this one left me in tears. I booked a shampoo and bang trim. I have curly hair (from a perm) but had straightened my hair days before. I told them several times that my bangs had to be cut a little long to compensate for the curls and the shrinkage. She proceeded to cut at my eyebrow and then shampooed it. Once it was wet they had gone well above my eyebrow giving me almost micro bangs. Although I told her several times, she began to brush through it after shampooing it and said "You have a perm?" Will probably not return as I went home in tears because my whole haircut looks ridiculous. read more

Absolute WORST hair experience of my life here today!!! I don't even know where to start! Maybe I can update later if I'm not so upset!!!!! NEVER get your hair cut here, ladies!!!!!! Update: Full disclosure - I knew I wouldn't be getting the greatest cut here, but thought I couldn't possibly get the worst, either! WRONG. The only reason I came here is because I just had twins 2 months ago and didn't really have the time to make an appointment for some time in the future and go to an actual salon with my babies because I never have a babysitter or the time to go far out of my way when all of the good salons are in Winter Park, not Windermere. That's that. Here is my experience yesterday. Had the absolutel worst hair cut and hair experience of my almost three decades of life yesterday at the Hair Cuttery Cornerstone at Summerport in Windermere yesterday afternoon. Sat down and asked for a LONG bob. I was then asked if I wanted it "stacked or angled" and I said angled, at first, but then I said "Wait, what's the difference?" and the stylist couldn't even explain to me what she was talking about. She literally walked over to another "stylist' that was just sitting in the corner. At this point, I was already extremely nervous, but I honestly thought to myself, "how bad could it be?" So she walks back over to me and explains that there actually isn't a difference, from what she was just told by her coworker and she begins to cut my hair, so I assume she feels like she knows what she's doing here. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Very wrong. She started obviously not having a clue as to an actual plan of action or anything. She just kept cutting and I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt because I'm not a hair stylist. Maybe this is just the way SHE does it, I kept thinking. But then she kept looking so unsure and asking her coworkers what she should do. I felt like I was in a school instead of a place where everyone should actually have a license to cut people's hair. I totally felt like she was a student, and definitely NOT A PROFESSIONAL. First of all, a PROFESSIONAL would have disclosed from the beginning, that they didn't feel comfortable giving me the cut that I was asking for. Second, she just kept cutting it shorter and shorter in the back, which I didn't even realize until I got home and actually felt how short it was! She just kept trying to fix her mistakes by cutting it shorter! It was a nightmare! Not only was it super short in the back, but it is also way shorter on one side than the other! And she used trimmers, as well! Trimmers! I had never had trimmers used on my hair in my life, especially not for a LONG bob, but I kept thinking this was some technique I just hadn't seen before. Ok, mostly just HOPING this was a technique I just hadn't seen before! Admittedly, I am WAY TOO NICE in these situations, absolutely, but that shouldn't be the reason I end up with such a horrendous hair cut! To top it off, she never even cut the front of my hair, so it looks extremely strange from every angle! The icing on the cake, though!? Instead of charging me the typical $18 for a cut and shampoo, she charged me an EXTRA $10 and when I asked WHY, she said it was because it was a "PROCEDURAL CUT" - wait, what!? I was never told that before I got the cut, but expected to pay an EXTRA $10 for her to practice on ME, when I felt like I was helping her learn!!! Now, I have to go somewhere else to have a real hair stylist fix it and pay more money, when she already had the audacity to charge me extra! I was so furious, but to go in 2 months after having twins, and just wanting to feel better about the way I looked, I absolutely ended up feeling WORSE!!! read more

Everyone has always been very friendly with me and in my time there I've personally seen dozens of kids of all ages get great haircuts by a variety of Stylists. Had a haircut for myself and 2 boys. My youngest one had some blonde highlights done from which I paid about $100, including a $20 tip for him alone. My son wasn't to happy about because it did not cover some of the front, so we decided to go back and asked for it to be fixed. The hairdresser was very nice about it but the so called "store leader" was mean to the hairdresser and rude to me and my wife. Talking about us to the hairdresser right in front of us. Like we were asking for free stuff. Not sure about her "leadership style" but will definitely not coming back. Felt sorry for the hairdresser and other ones working in that location. read more

I have been to this location several times since it is close by. I decided to actually download the app today and check in online. Well, I did and checked in at noon. The app tells me I should arrive at 12:15. I arrived a little early and they told me the wait was 20 mins. No problem. I have a friend with me and he checks in after we walk in. They tell him 35 mins. Cool, we will check out a store a couple doors down. We go back in 20 mins. They call him as soon as we got back. I think, OK, they should call me next. To make a long story short, they call 4 other people as I waited that came in after me. They finally call me after my friend is just about to be finished and I have been waiting for an hour. I tell them to just take me off the list and explain why. The only thing I got was, sorry about that. Gonna check out Sportclips down the road. I had the most awkward experience ever here. Usually I go to Ulta but I live down the street from this place so I went in person and they told me it would be the basic $28 for a cut, wash, and blow dry. They pride on the fact that they don't charge extra for hair length. When I sat down the owner said it would be $45 because my hair was long. The person cutting my hair and the lady in charge kept going back and forth in front of me and settled with $45 - no compromise. I left because it was very uncomfortable and made no sense. First and foremost, my hair looks great. I got what I wanted and I'm happy with it. However, I've been here over three hours now. The guy working on my hair had to ask a lot of questions (which I totally am fine with - would prefer that my stylists ask for second opinions, honestly), but the woman he was asking everyone seemed like she did not want to be there at ALL, and gave me a short response when I asked a question that really didn't answer my question at all. I understand having a rough day, but this started my concern. After my process was done, my stylist put me under a dryer for over half an hour while he took another client!! He even turned it back on (I have very short hair) so that he could finish up the man's hair he was cutting. Which is basically go somewhere else statement so hence the review. Its $18 for a buzzcut and shampoo which is included and then add tip to that makes it usually $20-25 haircuts. If you up for that sure. But you can probably get a cheaper haircut for the same quality in any other establishment. read more
