On Oct 31, after reading positive reviews, I made an appt as a first time client for Nov 23. On Nov 3, I had to reach out to her to ask her to "accept" the appt. on the 3rd party site she utilizes because it just sat there for 3 days. On Nov 20 (Sunday night before the week of Thanksgiving), she texted me, "I have to change your appointment due to going to see family for holiday. I can re schedule you for November 30th at 11:30 Am. Let me know if that works for you." No remorse, no apology and completely unprofessional behavior. I will not be rescheduling because respect for time should be a two way street and professional courtesy is still a thing for me. read more

I can't say enough good things about Charlotte. I always went to the same person in both high school and college, so when I moved to Florida postgrad I was nervous to find someone new, and had a hard time for a while. I get blonde highlights and the other places I'd tried made me too blonde and brassy, and the prices for highlights and a haircut were unbelievable. I'm so lucky that I finally found I Love My Hair because Charlotte listened to me and made recommendations based on what I wanted, and my hair looks better than it has since I moved here. She also offers a discount for teachers, which shows how much she values her clients, and she took the time to teach me the science of hair so I could understand why my hair is always so tangled, how to protect my hair while swimming, and what products work and which are harmful (without trying to sell me anything I didn't want or need). On top of the great job she does, she's a joy to talk to and we chatted the whole time, but she also told me that if I ever have work to do I can bring my laptop and get things done while she does my hair, or read, or whatever I want to make the most of my appointment time. I began going to Charlotte about two years ago when my best friend found a Groupon. We thought we'd give it a try, since it was a really good deal. I have NEVER (and I can't stress that enough) been happier with my hair since. Charlotte is the best woman and stylist out there. Since I met her in 2012, I have never been anywhere since. I would follow her anywhere. I remember the first time I met her, my hair was a mess of box color and bad student experiments, and she was able to get my hair to look amazing and beautiful for the first time in years. I have dark brown hair and getting it to the perfect shade of natural blonde is an ordeal. She sat me down and explained to me about the importance of hair care and the products that I use because it affects how our hair looks and feels. After that first meeting, I knew I met the stylist I had been looking for since I moved to Orlando in 2008. Fast forward two years, I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. Even the thought of it makes me feel anxious. I can never trust my hair to anyone else because she knows exactly what to do to make me look, and feel, beautiful. My hair is the longest and healthiest it's ever been, reaching down to my waist and not a split end to be seen. Not only that, but she has become one of my closest confidants. I can talk to her about anything, and I never feel judged or ignored. She knows things about my life that only a select few know and I trust her completely, with my secrets and my hair. I visited the salon for a cut and color deal that I saw on Groupon. They told me that they give half off on services to teachers so I was happy about that. Their prices after the discount are very reasonable for a cut and color. They also fit me in on very short notice. The owner, Charlotte, is very friendly as well as the stylist, Carole, who worked with me. I have been looking for a stylist for two years and I am happy to say that Carole is my new choice. She was very willing to please. I feel she was trying to talk me out of some of my choices at times but she ended up trying to style my hair the way I wanted so I was pleased. The salon is very stylish and modern. Everything looks brand new and gorgeous. Probably one of the most appealing salons decorative wise that I have seen. The only downside was them talking up the products so much. I actually ended up buying some product (I think the large sizes may have influenced me on that). I also didn't get as edgy of a cut in the front of my hair as I wanted but it was still the best haircut I've had in Orlando and a very nice one at that. I really liked the coloring too. read more
