This year Allure was bought out by new owners and the new owners run the salon like a boot camp. Some of the staff have confided in me about the low morale and miserable work environment. This week, for the first time in five years I missed an appointment. My husband compensated the hairdresser $250 for the missed appointment. I then received a phone call from the new owner telling me that due to the missed appointment I was no longer allowed to be a customer there. Really? I even showed her 3 pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. When she was done, she said to me "don't worry your hair will lighten in the sun." If I am paying that much money for my hair, I should not have to wait for it to lighten in the sun to achieve the look I was going for. The owner Liz refused to refund my money when I kindly pleaded with her that I was not happy and then she proceeded to yell at me when I stood my ground, saying "she would come after me if I said anything bad about her salon."
