LeeAnn isn't just a talented hairdresser, she is an incredible person with a beautiful heart and someone who always makes sure the needs of the client are met. I have followed ( in a good way not a spooky like looking in your windows type of " followed") LeeAnn from another salon and she always does the right thing. I'm addicted to Hipsters! Listen, they're on a mission and taking over Brooklyn. It's all good with their Raybans and authentic Italian ovens. Every few weeks I go to Brooklyn on the weekend, have breakfast and get a very expensive haircut. I said to myself, self. There has to be a better way. If you follow my reviews, I hate Long Island Chinese food, Italian food, no coffee houses and more importantly no good mens barber shops. Then, I remembered the place where I got haircuts as a teenager. When we moved from Brooklyn to our newly built house in Holbrook, every one and every business seemed new. There was a proud Italian gentleman who opened a Barbershop around the corner. He too owned his home around the corner. He started a business, raised his family, just living the American dream. He retired years ago but his son Vinny graduated Sachem with me. I saw him at our HS reunion and said, Vinny! How's it going? Back slaps happen and he said he's still in Holbrook running the family business. (Wheels turning) I hit him up on FB and say Vin can you cut Hipster? Absolutely! He worked on a place in the Lower East Side back in the day as well as being trained by his dad who brought his skills from Italy. When I was a teenager, my mom would throw me some cash and say get you and your brother haircuts! Where do you think we walked to? Walking in today it seems like a totally different operation. I was kidding with Vinny today, I miss the afro hot lamps from the 70s that used to be in this corner. Saturday morning 11:30am its a packed out business. I highly recommend reservations. I show Vinny my Yelp picture and explained how the hipsters cut my hair. He breaks out the clippers and he's now a man on a mission. After my cut that would rival any expensive cut I usually get in Brooklyn/NYC, he takes me to the hairwash station and adds a tingly tea tree shampoo. Then, he rinsed it with a cold finish. Totally impressed with the end result! Listen, if this placed sucked I wouldn't write a Yelp review. I would have said thank you and been on my way. I am telling you, if you know how you want your haircut, Vinny and staff can make it happen. Vinny is the man! He has developed the perfect hair cut for my baby fine, thin hair that I like to keep short now. He has gotten the back of my hair perfect, it no longer looks like someone put a bowl on my head and cut the back of my hair. He was able to shape it to perfection. This time I asked Vinny to cut the sides of my hair a little longer, and I left his salon one happy camper. He has been able to cut my hair to my wishes and I love getting my hair cut again, it is a treat when Vinny does it because he listens to what I ask him to do and he gets it right, Thank you, thank you, thank you Vinny! read more

The owner, Rosario, is a competent haircutter, but his styling skills are lacking. I spent good money and the finished style just wasn't "finished" looking. I could have blown it out my self and it would have looked the same. I didn't see one good hairstyle leave that salon. Nice folks, but very third rate place. Also. I've been going to Hair Force One for six years. I'm originally from Brooklyn and at the time my boyfriend who now is my husband lived out east on Long Island and I needed a reasonable priced hair salon that does base color and highlights. I was told to see Rosario and he is very talented. He takes the time to make sure your hair is healthy. He uses the best quality hair products for base color and highlighting your hair. The other salons I went to in Brooklyn didn't take the time to take care of your hair. If my hair is dryer then other times he throws in a deep conditioning without charge. He is really amazing and talented and you should come here if you want healthy beautiful hair. read more

I began going to Hair Force One and Rosario when my daughter move from Brooklyn to Coram her hair always looks absolutely beautiful it was shiny bouncy and the color was gorgeous so I decided to go even though it was at least one and a half hour trip each way I have not been disappointed Rosario performs magic my hair has never been but in better condition nor easier to manage he make sure my hair is absolutely in top condition and takes the time to make sure the color is exactly what I want I couldn't be happier with Rosario and Hair Force One well maybe if they move to Brooklyn. read more

Rosario did a Japanese Hair Straightening treatment on me and I love it so much. He was so nice the entire time and made me feel so comfortable throughout the long process. I compared prices for the treatment and it's half the price here than at a normal salon for just as high quality. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely be returning. read more

Went here once before and got a hair cut from Rosario, which I really liked. He told me that if I ever came back I should ask for a "clean-up cut". I made an appointment with Rosario, and came back a few months later. I asked for a clean up cut and Rosario looked at me like I had four heads. He proceeded to cut my hair how he saw fit, and when I said that I wanted some of the bulk cut down he said "you're confusing me bro" and just seemed agitated. I told him that he told me that he told me to ask for that last time and he said he didn't remember(understandably), and didn't talk to me for the rest of the haircut, like I insulted him. After he felt like he was done he asked if it was how I wanted, and I just said yes, because I didn't want an angry guy cutting my hair. I paid, and he hurried out the door after me, and got in his car. I guess maybe he had somewhere to go. If that was the case, he should have canceled the appointment. Went to Mens Honor and got the haircut fixed. Maybe Rosario was just having a bad day :) read more
