I went here on Wednesday morning (post covid) for a shampoo and flat iron. I've been here before with Fariba before covid and it cost me $40. Fariba tried to upsell me on a conditioning treatment because my hair was very dry. I knew she was wrong because my hair is very oily but I let her go on. The treatment was $380 because my hair was very long. I told her it's too expensive. I wanted a regular shampoo and flat iron. She goes on posturing me about where I am was from, what I do for a living, if I bought a house, etc. I think this is the part where she decides what to charge you. I'm not saying Fariba is bad but it was shady that she tried to charge me $75 for a shampoo, chair dry, and flat iron. I told her-- no way. You charged me $40 last time and you didn't even condition twice. I think she tried to pull a fast one on me. So she said $50. I paid her $60 to be nice. Oh and she tried to say her credit card machine wasn't working and only accepted cash------ after my hair was done. Needless to say, I won't be back. Do not let this salon touch your hair! I had hair down to my waist when I went in for a trim. All I wanted was a trim and she cut off half my hair. To make things worse it was choppy and uneven. I had to go have more length cut off to fix the mess she made of my hair. She could not even see what she did wrong. She kept saying "tell me what's wrong and I'll fix it." I can't believe she could not see the issue. She even followed us out the door when we left trying to beg us to come back. I was so devastated and was not letting her anywhere near my hair again. Went in to see Feriba for highlights and a cut. My hair was so dry and damaged after lots of heat use and box coloring. She did a great job on the highlights I asked for but because of how dry my hair was she recommended I do a treatment for my hair- I didn't want to initially but I really needed it so I went for it. She had great customer service and she listened to everything I wanted! Only rating a 4 because of the price.. I got the worst perm ever from the place, I have very short hair and she started to perm my hair with a box that looked like it had been open, when I questioned it she did not answer like she did not understand what I was saying. Then she brought me to the sink when the time was up and got a pot from another room that looked like a coffee pot it had warm water in it and poured it on my head to rinse. She never used the sink to get water from it. She charged me $100.00 dollars for my hair that is very short. Then she asked me if I wanted a facile, I said no and she said but you need it. Why would I need a facile when the perm turned out to be awful. I washed it today after the 3 days from getting the perm. and my hair is so straight in several places. Was my first time here. I got a haircut with layers ＄50 and eyebrow threading ＄15. mentioning cuz prices arent posted anywhere. its alot more than i usually spend on a cut but i havent had a cut in over 6 months and it started out pretty damaged. that said my hair looks alot better now. i usuay get layers and this is my only complaint is the combing was a little rough for my hairtype, which breaks easily, she didnt tug painfully like some other hairdressers do when theyre combing out tangles. she does try to upsell alot, if that bothers you or you dont know how to say no firmly, maybe its not the salon for you. it didn't bother me. some have mentioned she charges more if she thinks you make a lot then goes down if you say no, this is literally just bargaining. i took that to be a cultural difference, the prices seem to be negotiable or you can bargain. if you negotiate and they change the price you agreed on thats a different story. personally that didnt happen to me. the threading was good. ive only done waxing before so cant comment on the technique. its better result than most of the waxes ive had, and unlike with waxes youre not red all over after. it didnt really hurt, she did a good job shaping the brows considering my hair was really sparse in some areas. she was really nice, i had good conversation with her even though im usually the type to kinda sit quietly when i get my hair done. its a little expensive for what it is and thats the only reason its not 5 stars. but i can sympathize that salons really need the money right now. read more

I'm new to the area & needed to find a new salon to do my hair. I stopped by in person in advance to show them my hair & see if they could match the work my colorist in LA has been doing for years before I moved. I wanted to support an independent, local business, but made sure they SAW my hair in advance of making an appointment to ensure they COULD do what I needed: full head, thin highlights, in two tones of blonde. I even brought in the details from my colorist with the exact brands, colors, & levels she uses on my hair. Feriba was who I met when coming in, she looked at my hair closely, my details from my colorist, & assured me that she could match it, no problem. She starts a half hour late because she had my appointment time wrong in her book. When she finally starts she asks me if maybe I want to go mahogany brown. WHAT???? I specifically came in for the roots on my BLONDE highlights, why would I just suddenly do a 180 & go all over darker??? She also tells me that maybe some time I should let her put dark, chunky highlights in. I tell her I really don't like chunky highlights & really don't want stripe-y hair. Because it's not 1996 & I'm not a Spice Girl. She asks how much I want taken off, I tell her & she asks me why so much. Seriously? Because it's my hair. It was VERY long & I asked for about 6 inches off. It was mildly uncomfortable to have to answer for why I wanted a haircut AT a haircut. She chopped some off first before starting the highlights, unevenly, then said she'd fix that after the color. OKAY. She did the first color in a set of foils, then showed me a color in a book that she said is what she used which was WAY darker than my previous color. I panicked & said "What?! I wanted the roots matched to the growth. You used THAT? So it's going to be darker? I'm going to have a line of color difference around my head? That's the whole reason to get my roots done, to NOT have that." Then she changes her explanation & she says no, that's the lowlights color & the highlights will be more lifted. That color was STILL wrong for my lowlights. But I'm already in the chair with my hair partially chopped & half of it in foils. She proceeds to put in the second color... but no foils. Just globbing it all around my head & scalp in between & around the foils. It's on my forehead, all over my ears, just globs. Never in my life have I experienced anything like it since my teenage best friend colored my hair in high school. She h&s me a towel & a rat-tail comb "in case I have any itches." Then she has me move to another seat while she finishes the hair of the woman she was working on when I arrived. Then did TWO MORE haircuts. I sat there FOREVER with my hair in half foils & half not, covered in dripping piles of color. No putting me under heat to speed up the color development, just sitting there. For an hour. The last 5 minutes she puts me under a dryer hood that blew lukewarm air. When she washed it out she barely supported my neck & got water & shampoo all over my face. She dropped a hand towel over my face when she did, for me to wipe it up. No toning. Barely any conditioning. Poor rinsing of the nape of my neck. When we walked back to the seat I could immediately see the pumpkin orange around my crown but figured I'd let it dry & give it a chance. It's too late now & she still needs to finish the cut. I don't want to make things worse while she's got scissors in her hand. She rips through my hair repeatedly with a brush & tells me how tangled it is. I can feel it pulling & ripping & she just keeps yanking. I point out the MoroccanOil on the shelf & tell her I usually use that after washing & it really helps with detangling. She says "Oh, yeah?" then proceeds to smother my hair in a palmful of some weird, cheap hair smoother & keeps tearing through it. She finishes combing, cutting (I opted for a straight cut, no layers or bangs, I have ZERO trust left at this point) & drying it, & takes the cape off. I look in the mirror again & tell her "It's orange. Why is it so brassy?" She says "Oh that's just because the color is fresh. It will tone down naturally with time." Uh, NO. I've been having my hair colored for years. Every time the new color at the roots is fresh & it's never ORANGE. My entire crown & hairline is pumpkin colored. It's super brassy. She was totally unconcerned, said it looked fantastic. There was no way I was asking her to fix it because I never want that woman's hands on my hair EVER again. I went straight to Sally's to get toner & purple shampoo. Once I got home & parted my hair down the middle, how I told her I wear it when she asked, but not how she parted it while I was there, & I could see how bad it was. AWFUL yellow & orange CHUNKY stripes of color. It's just horrible. I'll be in hats until I find a decent colorist who can correct it. I can't believe this woman is licensed to do hair. I'm considering calling my bank & disputing the charges. read more

I made an appointment last week for a haircut and asked how much a haircut would cost . The lady who answered told me that it would be $25 so I decided to give them a try. The lady that greeted me at the door was friendly and who also ended up cutting my hair . As soon as I sat down she snapped a few shots of my hair - without my permission. I felt a little awkward wondering why she thinks she can do that without asking the client first . She started to cut my hair and insisted that I needed my hair washed to see what my end result of my haircut would be . I told her no thanks but she said that it is included in the haircut of $30. She also suggested that I should get highlights or color to my hair as well. I asked her how much and she quoted me $140. When I told her I would think about it , she quickly dropped it to $110. I still told her maybe some other time just not now . I decided I wanted a short layered cut and in the end it was a nice cut. She spent a lot of time styling my hair then cutting it . When we were finally finished , she snapped about 6 more shots of my hair , again without asking . When come time to paying , the counter clearly shows that Visa , MasterCard and I think Discover is accepted at the location . When I handed her my card she told me that there is a $3 fee to use credit and asked if I had cash . I didn't have enough cash at that moment . Worst service I've ever received, and I'm a guy - it's hard to mess up guys hair. I ended up coming near closing time and I imagine factored a lot into the quality of service I received. The lady cutting my hair did a very lazy job. Her left hand was literally resting to her side as she buzzed my hair with her right. My line up turned out to be crooked upon further inspection, and jagged in the back. And she didn't even try to transition the sides into my long hair on top. Sideburns cut unevenly. The haircut to took only 5 minutes. When she announced that the haircut was over, I was in disbelief at how little care she put into my haircut and how quickly she just tried to get it over with. Another yelp review mentioned that this place was good for men. Not true at all. Please don't go here -_- read more

I've gone to Feriba now 3 times and each time I've loved the results. She has somehow managed to get my hair right every time, something that's hard to find. My hair pulls copper tones hard and not everyone I've been to can get the ash blonde I've asked for or is willing to be bold enough to try and that's why I love her. I bought a groupon for 3 eyebrow threading sessions. 2/14- I went in to redeem one of my groupons and was told to take a seat. I had never been to this salon nor even knew it was there. I started talking with the lady & told her what a great deal it was to use the groupon she then replied with "Don't buy another one, we loose so much money because of it" .... WTH?! This lady was just flat out RUDE after that. When I was walking out the door I let her know that if it wasn't for the groupon I would have never known about the salon so maybe she should have been grateful. I went to Feriba for the first time after my sister recommended her to me. I was scared to get a hair cut since it's been a while since I've had my hair short. I decided I wanted to go for the length a bit above the shoulder.Feriba was very nice and made sure that before she did anything that I was ok with it. Since I told her I wanted to go shorter than I usually would, she asked me before she cut it shorter. She did not want to do anything to my hair that I didn't want. I went there when they first opened amd asked for a basic 1/2" trim I was growing my hair out and she took off more than 3" I was pissed. I decided then I'd never go back. Yesterday my boyfriend needed a haircut n decided to go there even tho I told him what she did to my hair. (Typical guy right) anyway he wanted a 1on his sides and 2up top. Never never never again! Went in to get my kids hair cut and the women (didn't give her name) rushed so much she cut by son with the clippers! He is very good and doesn't wiggle around or anything, I'm pissed! I didn't notice the cut until we left so I still let her cut my daughters hair. She was pulling at her hair with the comb and the brush to the point that I stepped in and asked if I could brush it for her because she was hurting her. When she did go to cut her hair she only wet a very small part of the back and didn't wet or cut the front at all. At the end she asked if it was okay, I told her yes it's fine just so I could get my kids out of there. I truly didn't want her hacking at my kids hair anymore! My daughter's hair is completely uneven (see photo), I'll find someplace else... Apparently this woman had an appointment or something so she was in a hurry, that's no excuse for hurting my kids. I have never experienced such a bad hairdresser. I went to get a root touch up done frebie by the owner did my root touch up and after washing my hair she didn't want to dry my hair, so she told me to use the hair dryer by myself. I should have not gone there in the first place, I had to blow dry my own hair, I get my root touch up done every time at other salons in Brentwood and they blow dry my hair after coloring I have never experienced with a hairdresser would tell you to blow dry your own hair by yourself horrible experience! !!! she charged me at the end $3 extra for using my credit card saying that it is a bank fee REALLY?????? what is it called when you do something like that for the customer don't expect the customer to ever return. if you cannot take credit card payments you must write cash accepted only!!!!! but you cannot charge $3 because someone is using a credit card.
