I was disappointed with the atmosphere during my visit. The person at the front desk was very off-putting and not welcoming. When I asked who their best manicurist was, I didn't receive a clear or helpful answer, which made the experience feel dismissive rather than customer-focused. Because of the lack of professionalism and warmth, I decided to cancel my appointment -- for the second time. At this point, the environment alone is enough to make me hesitant to return. Had a great experience from start to finish. It was my first time trying a Russian manicure, and I was truly impressed -- even after three weeks, it still looks incredible, I've never had a mani last this long! I also got an excellent blowout which I absolutely love, and it turned out beautifully. Another highlight was the in-house masseuse! I travel frequently for work and regularly splurge on spa treatments, so I've experienced many massages -- but this was genuinely one of the best I've ever had. Hairdressers are lovely. Tim and Naile are artists and soooo nice!! Tim did my hair before my engagement photoshoot. Naile does blow outs so fast! Prices are good and I love going here. They understand how to make a bouncy blowout hold on naturally curly hair. Good neighborhood spot. I used to go to Ervisa here before, who was incredible. HOWEVER, today, I encountered the blonde woman in glasses at the front desk for the first time and she was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. When I went to pay she didn't look up and just pointed at the register screen. I asked her to break down the price and she rolled her eyes at me and just pointed at the screen on the register again. I asked for clarification and she continued pointing, not speaking. I look over the desk and she was playing with a water bottle and looking down. I paid and she didn't even look up to confirm the card went through or say "thank you." Her colleague finally said "the payment went through." You can't even look at or speak to someone who just gave you business? Am I that beneath you? I looked back at others for some help, and everyone seemed embarrassed. I was shocked by her mannerisms towards me. Am I missing something? Did I do something wrong? Is she suffering from something? I've never encountered anyone like this in any of the other neighborhood businesses in Tribeca. You can tell everyone else in the salon ran around and was extra kind to me as I finished checking out in order to compensate for her strange behavior. The tall young man at the front desk is very nice. I would love to continue coming here but I'm shocked by this treatment! I will be telling all my friends. As a resident of the neighborhood who is looking for a regular place for my hair, this really is unfortunate. read more

More then 5!!! Tim was incredible - attentive, focused on my needs, gentle, and professional. I arrived early and was seated promptly at 11 am. The lady at the front desk was sweet and helpful. I was offered coffee upon arrival and a glass of Prosecco at the end. I recommend making an appointment, but they also accept walk-ins. The salon is kid-friendly and provides a relaxing and special experience. I requested a cover-up for my gray hair and a blond balayage, and the results were spectacular! Hidden gem in Tribecca. I was looking for a decent haircut since literally more then 6 months- This place has incredible prices and best stylists. I saw Ervisa and let me tell you all positive reviews about her are just soooo true. I am glad i trusted reviews and went to her. She listened to all i had envisioned for my hair and then gave me the most perfect haircut. The most friendly and efficient stylist ever. She wont push styles or services on you but will actually listen to what you want and tell you how realistic it is and how it can be done. I am so glad i finally found a stylist in the city. Tim is the only person I trust with my blonde hair! I've been getting Highlights with Tim for the last few years now and I will never see anyone else. He is incredibly Knowledgeable and experienced, and always leaves me with gorgeous hair. I keep my hair long so when I need a trim he keeps my length where I want it and doesn't take off too much. He's also so kind and friendly, and we always have a great conversation when I'm in his chair. HairBeCa is such a lovely hair salon. Found this place on Instagram and decided to check them out as they're one of the only salons in nyc that doesn't charge $100+ for a haircut! Went to Luidmila for my haircut which she did a great job doing exactly what I asked for. Only took 30 minutes start to finish, including the wash!! Then went back the next day to Valentina to do highlights. She was super friendly and explained the best approach for my hair in the time we had. The client before me was a half hour late so that pushed me back a half hour and Valentina had to stay late to finish my hair but she was very sweet about it as this was the only day I could come in. I left feeling so happy about my hair and even better to have found a salon to go back to! read more

I had an amazing blowout with Tim at HairBeCa! I asked for a bouncy blowout with volume on the top and he delivered! One of the bounciest blowouts I've ever had! When I walked in I was greeted very nicely and immediately offered a complimentary glass of champagne which set the mood for the rest of the experience (and as soon as my glass was empty someone came over and replaced it with a new one)! Tim was a warm and professional presence and accommodated all of my hair needs. He treated my hair gently which is very important to me as I have a sensitive scalp and also double shampooed my hair without my request which I loved! I got a blowout from hairbeca and my hair felt damaged after. From the moment I walked in I was barely acknowledged and then ushered to the back of the salon. When my hair was washed ludmila was very rough with my hair and when she started blow drying my hair she used a lot of heat. The blow out itself was solid but after the blowout I felt like my hair was fried and got damaged. She didn't use any heat protectant and kept blasting the blow dryer at high heat even when I had mentioned it's too hot. I'm very disappointed with my experience here and would not recommend trying this place out. My ends of my hair are now very dry and fried. read more

Yess! I recently moved to the city and was looking to find a new hair salon so I decided to give HairBeCa a shot. The space is nice, easy to get to, and the receptionist was sweet! I decided to just get a hair cut and no color but it was great. Jasmin cut my hair who was sweet and very quick. While I was getting my hair cut, the owner happened to be in. She was super friendly and they all made sure that I felt comfortable. She then tells me that they are offering a complimentary facial if I have time! WOW. Don't tell my boss, but I stayed at my appointment a bit longer to get a facial with Cindy. I got the mini facial and it was amazing. I took a chance on a new hair salon and boy am I glad I did! Ervisa was my hair stylist and she was amazing. She did exactly what I wanted and transformed my hair from a light brown to a low maintenance blonde, I absolutely love it!!! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I did call in and ask if I could change my appointment to the next day and Ervisa did say she had to charge me if I changed it.. I'm sure if she knew me and my character she would've been ok with me coming in the next day but she was just following policy. I decided to check out this salon based off the reviews. I wanted to ask if they go by appointments or if I could walk in. Immediately I felt uncomfortable and was met with an extremely unfriendly woman who was very rude to me the entire time. She was looking me up and down and her tone seemed very annoyed within the first few seconds of the conversation. I felt discriminated against because of my ethnicity. There was no one in the salon and it had just opened but she told me I could come back at 12. It was 9am. I looked online and there were multiple time slots available. She then asked me rudely after the attempt to not take me at all, "are you still going to come back". The first time I went to HairBeCa I got a haircut + blow dry from Jasmine. Because I have thin, fine and fragile hair, she made sure to be gentle when washing, drying and brushing my hair. She gave me some tips on how to strengthen it by recommending oils (not name brand products but things that I can get at any supermarket like hair oils and castor oil) and shampoo types. She was very detailed when cutting my hair and made sure to even out the ends and get rid of all of my split ends. I was hoping this could be my new salon due to the convenient location, but all around it was a disappointing experience. To start, my stylist was 30 minutes late and the salon wasn't even unlocked when I arrived at my appointment time. I came for balayage and it took forever, like approaching 5 hours. (And, actually had to be re-applied, e.g. the foils taken off and put back on, which I've never had happen) All this would have been fine, if my hair turned out well. But, I was left with a full head of highlights instead of balayage and now I have a harsh line growing out rather than the subtle look of balayage which I always request due to it's low maintenance. Not sure if it was someone's off day or what. But, I won't be going back. read more
