Fantastic! Today was my second time coming here and it did not disappoint. My stylist's name was Lily. She was so kind, accommodating, and incredible at her job! This is one of my favorite haircuts ever. I am currently on crutches due to knee surgery and have to keep my leg straight. Everyone was amazingly kind, the person behind the front desk even gave me her chair so I could keep my knee straight, and Lily did all she could to make me comfortable. I actually wanted to add on to this because the more I sit with my hair and look at it and do it the more irritated I get. I had extra long hair, needed a trim and it was cut to "long" basically which was an extra charge... for the most basic hair stylist job. On top of that, I asked for long layers (where are they???) they're the same length as my hair maybe off by a few centimeters. Bangs look like they did when I got in. No face framing and it looks like my hair was just chopped, it looks so bland, I don't feel good about it at all, it looks horrible in a pony tail also. I feel like I could've just done this myself. Probably the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I was with Tatiana. I asked for long layers, curtain bangs, and a blowout with lots of volume. Instead, she just bluntly cut my hair across in a straight line and blew my hair out completely straight, with zero volume. When I expressed I didn't like the straight, blunt haircut, I asked if she could out some more layers or dimension in. She agreed, but instead she just cut my hair significantly shorter and still blunt and straight across. I gave her multiple opportunities to fix the haircut and she was not willing or nice. Maybe she hasn't been doing hair that long but that is a fast way to lose customers. read more

Hands down the worst haircut I ever had. I asked for layers that was slightly shorter than long layers and this is what I got. One side layered uneven and the other not at all. I didn't notice while there since they blew out my hair with curls instead of leaving it straight, which hid the horrible cut. I emailed the store with pictures and received no response. Maria was my stylist and disappointing to say the least. I asked to have the orange undertone in my hair to be an ash undertone. Not much was discussed beforehand which was concerning to me. She asked no questions on my hair history, the color before I dyed it brown. I had to volunteer all this info that she didn't seem to care about. She didn't say anything about whether or not she could achieve the ashy tone I asked for. I just told her what I wanted and she started working on my hair. My only objective was to get rid of the orange tone and have it ashy. That didn't happen. All my stylist did was make my hair darker. The orange undertone is still very much there. I also showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted. The picture was simple face framing layers and I was given BANGS. I hate my hair so much. I tried really hard not to cry at the salon. I was quiet the whole time and I'm pretty sure she could tell I didn't like it because she had to ask me if I did. I booked an appointment for a wash, cut, and style with Liliana on 4/10. It was estimated at booking to be 1 hr 15 min but took under 30 min even though I got about 5 inches cut off. When asking for my length, my stylist told me this was too short and I felt uncomfortable asking for what I wanted. I also asked for layers and received none. Once I got home, I saw a piece of hair that was not cut at all and sticks out like a sore thumb (picture included). I felt rushed and neglected throughout most of the appointment. I have easy hair but have never had a haircut this quick and the stylist was continually looking out the window. Usually there are pauses to ask if this is okay and check ins to see if you are satisfied, that was minimal. At the end, I didn't even have time to take in the new hair or inspect it before her asking about payment. At the end of the appointment, she told me the credit card system was down and asked if I could pay in cash and go to an ATM. I asked if we could just try as I only had enough cash for the tip. The system was never down and went through easily so take for that what it is. The outcome was not that terrible but I came out of the appointment feeling very upset about the experience and I'm generally nonchalant about haircuts. Side note: I had an appointment about 6 months ago with Natalie and it was one of the best experiences I've had!!!! I should have stuck with the her but she was unavailable the day I needed to get it done. read more

On 12/19th, I posted a review about one of the "hair stylist" burning my hair so bad, that it literally looked like straw. Some guy named Albert text me to ask me if I wanted to go back into the Salon to try another stylist. Honestly after one stylist burning the crap out of my hair, why would I want to go there again! He knows absolutely nothing about customer service as when I refused to go back he called me difficult and said I had a nasty attitude. How about and apology and if I told him that the woman burned my hair so bad that it looked like straw, why not say; come in and we will give you a deep conditioner on the house or we have products that can help return the moisture to your hair. Its funny because you never know what a person does for a living when they walk in to your shop and one day, you just might be walking into their business and expect nothing but the best customer service possible. Albert should take a customer service training, I am sure it will help him deal better with negative reviews. read more

A few weeks ago I went to a salon for a Keratin treatment that only lasted for three weeks. I was really disappointed and upset so I booked an appointment at Tribeca Hair Studio to get the treatment re-done. Maria did a great job re-doing the treatment and her technique is excellent - she definitely knows what she is doing. The prices are a bit higher than I was expecting given how short my hair was, but I'm still really happy with the outcome of the service and will likely make this my go-to salon while I'm living in NYC. read more
