This was my 3rd time getting a cut from Dina. She's good and the cut is always as expected. However, the I won't go back because of the pricing issues...The first time I went it was going to be $35 with a shampoo and cut or $18 with just a cut--fine. Same with the second--I chose to get a shampoo and cut both times. But this time, on DEC 4, I wanted to just get a cut to save money during the holidays. She cut my hair by spraying it with water and was done is about 12 minutes. When I went to the front, the receptionist said it was $45! For a 12 minute damp cut with NO shampoo or style!! Ridiculous. I asked her to check with Dina becasue that didn't seem right. Dina still charged me $35 for the damp cut only. What a rip off. They should have their pricing posted somewhere and not just charge whatever they want. Can you image how much it would have been to have my hair dried and styled? No thanks. read more

One of the worst haircuts/experiences I've had at a salon or barber. Crazy hot/humid, zero air movement and smells like dog piss somehow. Haircut wasn't even close to what I asked for(showed pictures) and was super patchy. I was in the chair 10 minutes max and it shows. Will never return. read more

Dina is the BEST! I got so lucky finding her some years back. I used to have very unhealthy hair back then, it would never grow past a certain length. I decided to cut it pretty short one day (almost like a shoulder length bob), and now my hair grows so beautiful and healthy. Yesterday, both my mom and I got haircuts by Dina and we both loved them. The day before Christmas, I go to this salon my daughter has gone to a couple of times for a trim. I brought in a picture of a woman with the same type of hair, thin. I didn't expect it to be just like the picture but it was an idea of the length and style. Idk what this woman looked at because she cut almost all my hair off, and it is uneven to boot. I wanted side bangs and she didn't do that, when I said something she said oh I can do it now or if you want to come back at a different day I can do it. In my mind d I was like I am never coming back g back to this place. Now I am stuck with a very short uneven hair cut. I did tip her 10 bucks at the time because I do believe in tipping, however I am really regretting this tip at all. It was awkward during the whole time. I can't rave enough about my experience at Hairdays Salon. I have almost always worn my hair short but for the last few years I have worn it longer as I couldn't find the right stylist. Mona has solved that problem! I showed her a few pictures from the past and she got to work. She cut a bunch, we checked the length, cut more, checked the length, and on, several times. I used to go to the hair salon in Walmart and hope that I'll get a good cut each visit but I always get let down. A friend of mine referred me this salon. My first visit was in September 2016 and I've been going ever since! The ladies that work there are super nice especially Mona. She's been cutting my hair since my first visit. I've only had 3 ladies cut my hair so far from this salon out of the amount of worker they have but if I get the rest of them, I would trust them to cut my hair. The back was chopped off & uneven, I noticed some holes in the back as well. I recently had a HORRIFIC hair experience. Seriously. Horrific. Not at Hairdays but another salon I won't mention...for obvious reasons. Therefore my search for another stylist began. Thankfully I didn't have to put too much leg work into finding Cassandra at Hairdays Salon as she came highly recommended by a friend of mine. The five stars are for Cassandra's work, not the aesthetics of the salon. Although the ladies who work there are all FABULOUSLY sweet, the salon REALLY needs updated. (and a good cleaning) Nonetheless, my appointment with Cassandra was for a consultation...as I had attempted to color my hair on my own at home. (but that's a whole other story!) Cassandra was super sweet, professional and concise when detailing what she would do to correct what I had done. I also appreciated that she LISTENED to me. She then told me the cost to correct my mistakes (which wasn't cheap so I'd advise against home coloring!) and I asked if she had time to do the service that day. She did and immediately got started. After highlighting/coloring my hair, she put me under the dryer. From there I was given a wonderful shampoo and a hair mask, then back under the dryer. Then a rinse, haircut, another rinse, blow dry, style and a few snips to polish the style off. I have to say, the color and cut was the BEST I've had in the nine years I've lived in Arizona! Only my stylist back home in Seattle did my hair as beautifully as Cassandra! Best yet, she even does brows! So I was able to have mine shaped and cleaned up to compliment my new adorable, (and beautifully colored I might add) short hair style. In the end, I left the salon feeling like a new woman and THRILLED that my quest for a professional, knowledgeable but more importantly affordable stylist was over! Hairdays is a very friendly neighborhood hair salon. I love that you do not need an appointment to be seen. They are even open on Sundays. Their price are very affordable! I do notice they have a new staff member everytime I go but I still recognize many familiar faces. Hairdays is a great place for a haircut! Went today for the very first time, Carmen (is worth five stars) took the time to ask me about what I was looking for in a haircut and actually how I wear my hair. I have thick curly hair so I am always worried about a new stylist. However, this cut is fantastic and I can just tell it is going to grow out nicely. I also had my eyebrows waxed and Ebony did a super job! My experience was so good, I'll go back again and again. The best part - both services came to $28! I have spent so much money in Scottsdale and Glendale on cuts I hated....never again. Being high-priced doesn't mean you are worth it!! Try this place....you won't be sorry. In fact, you[ll be extremely pleased. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is because it is not a upscale salon, but comfortable and clean.
