Disappointed with the service. They gave me a shampoo and haircut but didnt even botther to blowdry my hair and clean the hairs on my clothes. 1st time to experience a salon not giving a blowdry. I can't speak to their hair styling expertise because even though the door says walk-ins welcome when I walked in for a simple shampoo, cut, and basic style I was very rudely told "Not today. You can make an appointment for tomorrow." In those exact words and a very abrupt harsh fashion. I understand if you're having a busy day and don't have the time to accommodate a walk-in but there is a way to express that without making the customer feel like garbage. Horrible service, they screwed up my hair, and had to straighten it so they could see the unevenness they did to my curly hair. I asked either a dry or wet cut whichever will make it even, so the person Spritz water into my straightened hair to even it out and then when I asked about running a straightener through to re straighten ends that are now curled, the manager across the weight chimes in and it'll cost me extra to have that service. if you hadn't f***** up my hair, I wouldn't have to come back almost 15 miles to get it fixed! the manager being as useless as the person cutting the hair to who didn't speak up or say anything, she just blankly looked at the manager. Giving the customers waiting, I can see where they don't have to deal with a whole lot of hair or different textures. This place sucks come if you want to get to hear screwed up and then have them compensate you with even more nonsense. They suck. read more

I called and got a same day appointment for hair color. Rocasana did my hair and was very nice and we chatted the whole time she was doing my hair. I decided I wanted to change my hair color to red and she did an awesome job. I also got a great deal on some hair products I needed. Back to a 1 and would do a 0 if could. After the District Manager promised me a refund I never got it. I responded to her email. Hours later she says she'll contact Guest Services to see what happened and I may have to go in for it, but she'll let me know and to not dispute with my bank. No response so I disputed with my bank. I should have asked for the whole amount as I now have to cut my hair again -close to 3 inches just so it looks right. read more

I have been going to this salon for a couple of years now, I have had several great stylists cut my hair. They are always friendly and professional. Tamara is wonderful,. The las 2 times I have had my haircut Naz has been my stylist. She is very nice and takes her time to perfection. I love that she takes such pride in doing her best. I just love the cut. I have very think white/gray hair and she cut it in a layer A line. My husband and grand daughter both told me they really liked it as well. I've been trying to grow my hair out, and I was frustrated by the long, stringy grown-out ends and I didn't have the money for a "nicer" place. The other Hair Masters in Brentwood was reviewed very highly, so I decided to give this one a shot, and I'm so glad I did! Alyssa did a wonderful job on my hair. I'd brought in a picture, and she used the picture as a reference point for evening my hair out and making it look full and healthy. Now I'm not dreading growing it as much as I was. The price was cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and skillful work. Being black, white, and native, hair cuts are a struggle because people don't know how to work with my hair texture. Luckily, the folks here at hair masters are all pros. Book with Ceecee! Seriously best experience I could ask for. My sons hair is long and he wanted to cut it so bad. I took him to CeeCee to have his hair braided for the first time. It was a great experience! She was great with him even when he became agitated and impatient. She was very clean an sanitized. One hair clip fell on the floor and she set it aside and didn't use it anymore. The braids came out amazing! I will definitely be back! My son loves it! Great conversation and awesome personality. She's professional, she sanitizes all tools/combs/etc. before working on you and you really can't beat the price here. Today was the first time I've been to Hair Masters in over a year. I was very nervous at first but was in desperate need of a hair cut and have a very busy schedule. I walked in the door and was instantly greeted by the first friendly face I saw. (Much different than my first encounter!) I told the lady that I needed my hair shampooed and cut and she asked if I had time to do it or I needed to schedule an appointment. I told her that I would like to have it done now because I had an important meeting to go to with a business client in the morning. She asked if I had ever been there before and I told her that I had but that my last experience was horrible and I hadn't come back for over a year! She introduced herself and said that she was the new manager and took me back to wash my hair. She asked me about my bad experience and we began chatting while she gave me the best scalp massage I have ever had!! She took me over to her chair and asked me how I would like my hair done. I told her I was very picky and began to explain to her what I was looking for and she actually paid attention to what I was saying! ( once again much different than my last experience) she was quick and did an amazing job!!! I was so impressed with her professionalism and the skills that she used to perform one of the best hair cuts I've ever had!! When I was getting ready to pay she sincerly appologized for my bad past with the shop and thanked me for giving them another chance! I would definatley reccomend going to hair masters to my friends and family and love my new hair cut so much that I booked an appointment for next weekend for some highlights and color. I can't believe how reasonale the prices are!!! When you stop in ask for Tamara! She is an excellent stylist and manager! She made me feel very welcome, treated me like a friend, and also cared about how my experience was this time! Also they have definatley cleaned up the shop tremendously! Last time it was a pig sty with hair everywhere dust on all the products and half the staff just sitting in there gossiping like I had just interupted their lil pow wow! Went in to get my son a hair cut on 12/26/2011. He wanted a fade but I cannot do that. So he went to the chair and told the lady what he wanted. Now a fade for a licensed person should not be that difficult. But she gave him some sort of excuse. He ended up getting a "2" all over his head. Its not a bad job but I do that at home and would have saved the $16 Found out AFTER I paid the lady was not licensed. Will never go back again. read more

My star rating is the average of a few different experiences at this location. First let me start off by saying that the review is not for getting MY hair cut (29 year old female) but my son's hair (2 years old) The first time I went in, it was ok. Not bad, not A-mazing, just OK. Was able to walk in, without making an appointment, and had no more than a five minute wait. The girl that cut my son's hair was nice, well groomed, and polite. She was very understanding of a toddler's "attitude" and the whole "stranger" thing, and was able to work around it. His hair cut was not all that great. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. For this trip I probably would give about 3 stars. The second time, he got his hair cut by Chris (or perhaps Kris?) and it was 5 stars, over the top, I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Chris was professional, kind, patient, and despite my son's wiggles and toddler attitude, his hair came out better than I ever would have hoped. The third time, Chris was all booked up, so we had my son's hair cut by a girl, who looked no more than 18, who was drinking a starbucks, rolling her eyes, and looked and acted inconvenienced to be there, much less that she had to cut my son's hair (God forbid!). I *should* have walked out right then and there, but alas, I didn't. She cut his hair, half-ass, hurried through it, and I bet money that I could have done a better job with absolutely no training. I paid for his hair cut, and proceeded to go home and #2 buzz his hair off. It was *THAT* bad. I would give this visit 1 star, on a generous day. The last time, I was smart and booked an appointment with Chris again. And without fail, he delivered. My son's haircut was just how I wanted it, while Chris was being patient, kind, and understanding of my son's toddler rampage. Bottom line: If you go, trust your gut. If you get someone who you feel is not doing what they are supposed to, or just don't understand what YOU want, then leave. Or, play it safe and book an appointment with Chris. :) read more

I went there for a long time. I eventually stopped going. The person who use to do my hair did a good job to my hair. Their is 1 reason why I stopped going. That is because when I would call to change my hair apointments due to the fact I was going to school at that time and I was afraid I would be late or miss the apointments the people who work their wouldn't change the appointments. My school was really far. They would say they did but they really didn't. That happened so many times. So the person who use to do my hair at that time would think I wouldn't show up or miss my apointments. Thankfully she still did my hair. For anyone who are planning to go to Hair Masters please call to make sure they change your apointments if you change them. Everything was good. It was just people refused to change my apointments. If you're going to go to one of the Hair Masters locations, do the one in Brentwood, not Antioch. Totally screwed up my hair, had to go to Brentwood to get it fixed.
