TERRIBLE AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. ZERO STARS. My appointments were canceled by Stephanie abruptly, without given notice TWICE in a 2-week span. On the first occasion, I had booked a service for dimensional balayage on hair that had virtually no color on it as my hair had grown out from a previous service months ago. Stephanie wanted to charge me for a color correction $500, the most expensive option on her list. Then, she required a $100 non-refundable deposit; although, I must mention that this fee is not consistent with all customers as I was informed by another customer who was also waiting for stephanie to show up but was also given absolutely no notice, that she was only required to pay a $10 deposit for her coloring and extensions. First off, what a DRASTIC difference, from $100 to $10. Fast forward...after reserving my first appointment, I was on my way there as I live 40 min away, when 20 minutes right before, stephanie texts me to tell me she has to cancel it. This was a bright, beautiful and sunny Saturday, mind you. I had canceled my Saturday plans with my family out of town to make it for this appointment, which she states will take 8 hours. So if she had told me 2 hours before, I would have been able to salvage our weekend trip. But ok, I get it, things happen. I already had a bad feeling since other yelp reviewers had mentioned their appointments were canceled in the same manner, but I wanted to give her a chance. She said she had a couple openings during the week, which I was not available for as I, too, have a schedule and am not readily free whenever she is. So we rescheduled to today, a week and a half later. I show up for our appointment at 12, a few minutes late since I had to take some detours due to the rain, and I'm waiting outside her studio when she texts me telling me that she's in COLLEGE STATION. Sitting there, outraged, I am thinking how in the world can you own and manage a business and be this UNPROFESSIONAL to your clients. CLEARLY, she does not care about her business or customer retention. It is out of common courtesy to inform your customers WELL IN ADVANCE if you will not be able to make the appointment. I'd say a reasonable 1-2 hours prior, is that really too much to ask? I was given no notice, but to drive all the way there from the other side of town, through the pouring rain, wasting valuable time, gas, and toll expenditures to be told she was 3+ hours away and wouldn't be there until 5pm?!?! And out of everything, she had the decency to say that this "doesn't normally happen;" yet, the reviews state otherwise. As I was waiting outside for her delayed responses, I met another first-time client who had been waiting for an hour along with me. I told her about the situation and she mentioned that Stephanie had also just texted her saying she was in Austin but had no other formal updates since. Again, how can you expect to run a professional business and not prepare to be there on time to service your clients? Like I said, I understand things happen and unforeseen circumstances arise, but she was in Austin, a 3+ hour drive away. Either prepare to leave early or if you can't make it there on time, let your customers know well ahead of time so they don't show up, waiting outside a locked studio in the rain. Honestly, we both wouldn't have known she wasn't going to show up if I hadn't texted her when I got there. How UNPROFESSIONAL. Save your valuable time and book an appointment with someone else. Seriously, after 2 canceled appointments with no notice, she is NOT WORTH the time, money and disappointment. We both admitted that we should have listened to the reviewers who can also attest to her unprofessionalism. RUN DON'T WALK. read more

It's really sad because I genuinely think Stephanie is amazing for what she does, but not only did I spend $100 on a deposit but she completely no showed and ghosted my appointment when I had an event that night, I took off of work, and I drove 30 minutes to south Houston. Didn't hear back for over a day with no logical reasoning for not showing up and not even offering a discount for all the time and energy I wasted. I was even referred to as "bro". I hate how this is "acceptable". It took me almost a week to get my deposit back so I had to push out my hair once again. Super unprofessional. Was almost an hour late for my appt which she had already rescheduled earlier that day. When she did show up, she didn't have her shop keys and said she needed to go home to get them. I asked for my deposit to be refunded and have yet to see that. Total scam. Stephanie is super sweet and nice but two of the times that I booked she rescheduled my appointment the day of. Also I payed the $495 for the color correction the first time and I intentionally asked her to get me lighter in stages so that my hair wouldn't be damaged but the second time I went she got distracted with a friend and fried my hair. I got a free hair treatment after that from her but I had to chop my hair off to my shoulders when it was down to my waist. I really wanted to support her and I trusted her and I regret it so much. To start off I never leave reviews but I just had to after the service I got from this salon. I'm giving my experience and service I got from this salon from the moment I DM'd Stephanie to the time I left the store. This has to be the worst hair salon I've been to. Before i even met the girl she rescheduled me twice. Then told me to send her a deposit for the a certain date then told me it was booked‍ like how do you tell me to send you a deposit for a date and time tell me it's booked not to mention again TWICE. So at this point I just tell her to give me my money back but she said she could "squeeze me in" her schedule which was probably the worst mistake I make. She told me to be at her salon at 10 am on Thursday. She did not get there until 11! Her excuse was she just moved and didn't know how to get around. I'm sorry but to me that was a BS lie. So I walk in her salon and it is a mess she tells me sorry about the mess and laughs. Then I sat in her chair and she didn't start on my hair for another 30 minutes and she didn't have clean aprons she had to put a plastic bag around me and she got paint on my shirt! Then she had the nerve to ask me if I had cash so she can go wash her aprons at the Washateria. Like how unprofessional I'm paying good money to get my hair done with you and I get this service. At this point I probably would of gotten better service somewhere else ANYWHERE else. Then another client walks in and she's trying to do two clients at one time I felt like she was rushing and just was too much for her then she has her niece or cousin whatever she was helping her. So she's washing my hair and is getting water all in my face. And at the end of everything I didn't even get the color I wanted I was there since 10am and didn't leave out of there until 4! I am just giving an honest review I don't want anyone to get their money wasted or receive the service that I did. read more

Stephanie is literally the BEST ! This is not an exaggeration I got the microweft extensions and they lasted for 4-5 months !!!! And let me tell you my hair grew inches!!! At least 4 with no damage to my hair at all !!! She recommended products for me to use to keep my hair healthy , and told me what to use to make my extensions last the longest ! She didn't push any products on me and she was so accommodating with ways to pay . The shop is beautiful . I will def come back to her when I wanna go platinum again !
