If you are growing your hair out and a bad cut set you back, or you are dealing with thinning in spots, run to Christine. I had a botched cut about a year ago that I stopped midway through (despite my instructions, turns out the stylist I went to was attempting a layered cut), and it had been growing back unevenly ever since. I was staring down two or three more years of waiting for it all to grow back. I seriously was considering cutting it all off and starting over. I did not want either. Christine changed that in a single appointment. She does keratin extensions, minimally invasive, and she is a genuine artist at it. We started with a consultation weeks back where she checked my color and talked me through everything honestly. No upsell, no pressure, just real care and straight answers. Today she spent about an hour and a half placing the extensions and trimming everything to blend, and the result is exactly what I hoped for. Uniform length, perfect color match, and the thinner areas are masked beautifully while my own hair grows back underneath. What stuck with me as much as the work was watching her in the mirror. She stood behind me checking every detail with her fingers, and she was smiling, genuinely proud of what she had just done. That tells you everything. She runs her business herself, she takes the kind of care in her clients that the best people in any field take, and she does it all with honesty and integrity. If you need someone you can trust with your hair, this is her. I cannot recommend her highly enough. This is my first experience with hair extensions. I am overjoyed. And I am ever so happy to have found Christine, and I am looking forward to trusting her with my hair going forward.

Over the past 6 weeks, I have now had 5 full ktip extensions just slide right off of my head. When the first 3 happened after only 4 weeks of wear, I talked to salon and explained how upsetting it is to spend so much money on the hair only for it to come off my head within such a short time frame. Keep in mind, the first time I got Ktips at a different salon in December, they lasted 4 MONTHS. Not a single one was out of place or even close to coming out. I asked very kindly after visiting another salon and getting a second opinion (the stylist looked at my head and said "yea these were installed so badly and unevenly) to have a refund. Not for the hair, the removal, or the highlights, only for the install. They refused to refund me a dime. They did offer for me to come by the salon and they would try and fix it, but I travel for work and will not be back in LA until the fall. But also how could I trust them to do a good job now? Now after loosing 5 total (easily 500 dollars worth of hair) I'm left with no choice but to share my experience and only try and help another person who maybe is like me, on a tight budget and really trying to make wise choices on what I spend on myself. My hair is part of my career and to see it falling out weekly is just so heartbreaking. I also run a business, and I know what it means to make a situation right, and I'd still love to give them the chance to make it right. Unfortunately, my experience with Mitra Jam was extremely disappointing and honestly devastating. The first time she cut my hair, it did not look anything like the haircut I asked for. When I explained that I did not like how it looked, she cut even more trying to "fix" it, and it ended up way too short while still not looking like the style I wanted. I also mentioned that I wanted some volume removed from my hair, but instead of blending it properly, she started cutting random chunks throughout my hair. Now, weeks later, I still have pieces sticking out that are barely about an inch long. There is no way to blend them or style them naturally. I literally have to use gel just to keep those pieces down because they stick out everywhere. I truly believe that if someone is not experienced or confident doing a certain type of haircut, they should not perform it. It is honestly unbelievable to pay this much money and leave with your hair completely ruined. Despite everything, she was kind and told me that if I wanted her to fix anything, I could come back. Just like skin, your hair is worth the investment too. It frames your head, whether you are meeting in-person or over video. Last thing I will point out is that hair color can look different, depending on the lighting. When I go lighter, my hair looks more ashy under certain artificial lighting, but it looks more caramel and honey out under the sun.
