The Combination Rice Plate with the Lamb and Beef and Chicken was so good, i was almost in tears ( i think it was because of the hot sauce). Everything was so good! Have been going to their location by UT for years so, very happy they are in my neck of woods! Got the beef kabob plate, and the chicken shawarma plate, with a side of pita bread and fries. Fries have definitely changed. Now they are the standard thickish, default fries you get in any frozen section. Really sucks cuz I used to love their fries. Everything else was good. read more

This is place is typical chipotle or the halal guys type. Ordered food and also tipped while placing the order. We didn't know if our kids would like it. We didn't order for kids on purpose. I first want the kids to try before the order their own. When the food comes, I wanted to get extra bowl (just a aluminum foil made bowl). He said he will charge 50 cents for a bowl. I tipped them when I ordered which I didn't have to as this place is more like chipotle type. Then he was very adamant in charging 50cents. I don't really care abt the 50cents. It is just abt the attitude of the business owner towards the customer. I will never come back just for this bad customer service. It doesn't matter how good the food is. If you're looking for fast, fresh, flavorful food in NW Austin, this is your place. They've got plenty of options without having an overly-complicated menu. I got to try the lamb, beef, and chicken and all were not surprisingly delicious. The rice was actually especially good and had nice spice (not spicy) to it. They were rude at the counter and they also forgot to place items for my to go order (rung up by Erin C). This place opened up near my place and I'm disappointed. Overall this was pretty good. The food was in the just above average section for this kind. I've had better but I've had much worse. My reason for three stars is the following. 1. Delivery labeling - if one person orders lamb and another beef mark it. When you have similar base but not exact with add-ons it's hard to tell what you order with the wraps. Here's a suggestion. Mark them if you offer multiple add-ons. It's kinda restaurant 101. 2. Widely disparate portion sizes. If you have a side, in particular a side of loaded fries offered in your add-ons, make it a portion for a person not a family. On the converse when a order for a side of hummus comes don't send a large tub of hummus with one pita. Don't get me wrong. The food was good but for what I paid for portions I expected a better experience. I will order again but if I have the same issues I'll probably reconsider. read more

We love halal brothers but this location is the worst. We dined in and there were about 5 other parties eating as well. There were 3 bottles of red sauce but only 1 bottle of white sauce. This big party was using it so all other tables were just waiting. Right when they left we went to their table n grabbed it. N same thing happened when we left, someone grabbed it right away. It's not rocket science to have multiple condiments available. And when I asked for sumac, which at other locations are also available to use, the girl brought me black pepper. I told her that's not sumac and she insisted that's sumac. Makes me wonder if she even works there. Maybe she doesn't know what sumac is but surely she should know what black pepper looks like??? During Covid I get tired of cooking and wanted something different than my usual go to meals plus I wanted something reasonably healthy yet tasty. I decided to try this place for pick up. I ordered (online) the combination meal over salad. The salad had lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers (maybe onions but can't remember). I didn't add any extras. It was chicken and lamb. My companion ordered the beef shawarma over rice and added falafels. His also automatically included salad. Both meals are garnished with a red sauce and a white sauce. The red is a little spicy and the white helps balance it out. We were both satisfied with taste, portion and efficiency. You will most likely have leftovers. I tried my husbands beef shawarma and out of the chicken, lamb and beef my favorite was the lamb. The lamb is tender and well seasoned. I'm very happy to have discovered this place. I wish it was a 5 minute drive instead of the 16 minutes it took us but it's worth it. read more
