Stopped by this halal Afghan restaurant for takeaway just before closing, and I'm glad I did! The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, taking the time to chat and even recommending a few dishes to try on my next visit. We ordered the lamb shank with Qabuli Pulao, Chapli Kebab, and grilled chicken. The food was absolutely delicious. The star of the meal for me was definitely the Chapli Kebab--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. In fact, I couldn't resist sneaking a couple of bites while the rest of the order was being prepared! The portion of rice that comes with the dishes is very generous, though I did feel the grilled chicken could have included a few more pieces for the price, as it only came with six pieces. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with a few tables for dining in. Overall, a great experience with delicious food and excellent hospitality. My only wish is that the pricing becomes a little more reasonable over time. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu! read more

Stopped by Halal Chopan Kabob (well... ordered in!) after a long work night, and I'm so glad I did. Even with takeout, the food arrived hot and still steaming, which is always a great sign. Chopan Kabob, also known as Halal Kabob Factory, is located in Henderson on Serene and Spencer. You'll find them near Pho Saigonese and Dutch Bros. Inside is a casual atmosphere with good seating, there's no music but they have TV set on the news. Menu offers a small selection of appetizers, gyro, sandwich, wrap, combo, plates, and special. I ordered Falafel Plate ($15.99), it comes with salad and rice. Falafel (4 pieces) is tasty but texture is a little dry. It was served with spicy chutney that has cilantro, vinegar, and jalapeños. The owner Nizar checked in and asked how everything was, I kindly let him know the falafel was dry and the green sauce is very spicy. Also I feel the spicy chutney did not pair well with falafel. He suggest to try with tzatziki sauce, and it did make it a little better. The housemade sauce is good and creamy, has the consistency of sour cream, and is yummy with cumin flavored basmati rice. I would prefer tzatziki sauce over spicy chutney for falafel. Nizar also made a new batch of falafel, I tried it and surprisingly there's good moisture, the falafel was nice, crisp, and soft, it's very delicious! I asked the owner what changed, and he mentioned the first falafel batch was overcooked. The second falafel batch had shorter cooking time and it preserved moisture and flavor, which makes perfect sense. The salad is good too, it has crisp lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onions and cucumber with ranch dressing. I also tried the original Yogurt drink, it is an acquired taste, has a strong tang, but very nourishing. The owner did mention the drink is sour but that's okay, I checked the bottle, it's not expired and still good to consume. Service from Nizar is so kind, welcoming, courteous, and friendly! I'm so happy with the new batch of falafel, and greatly appreciate he took account and value feedback, went above and beyond service to make improvement, it's fantastic! read more

The lady staff member was not courteous or professional at all. I was there to pick up a to-go order and was sitting at a larger table while waiting. When a family came in, she immediately asked me to leave the table because they needed it for a larger group. I completely understand prioritizing a larger party, but the way she handled it was unnecessarily rude. There was no apology, no "please," and not even a simple "thank you" for understanding. I simply got up and went outside to wait for my order. The food is okay, but there's so much better kabob place in town. Good customer service should include basic courtesy and respect, regardless of the situation. If this is considered acceptable behavior in their culture, they should understand that customer service expectations here are different. Very disappointing experience. read more

First off... they were so accommodating! My coworker wanted to go try this spot and he had previously spoke tot he owner. We were running late so he gave the owner a call and preordered for us. Even though they were closing at 8pm they were willing to stay open for us. We got there and were greatly very kindly. Our order was not ready so we grabbed dranks and sat and waited - they kept us informed of times. First came the warm naan bread and amazing smooth hummus. Then some crispy fries with a sauce I've never had before and garlic and they were so tasty!! Next came a huge plate of rice with currents and just so flavorful! Then the show stopper.. an amazing wooden serving platter with various grilled and marinated meats. Lamb chops, chicken kabobs, steak bites and curry like chicken bites. Then... a plate with different sauces, onions and spicy buffalo. I'm telling you I'm sitting hearing drooling thinking about those lamb chops. The best I've had. Overall I was so satisfied and grateful for the patience and hospitality from the owner who came out to speak to us. I tried this for the first time since they took over 5 months ago. My wife ordered the ground chicken kabob & beef , the plate came with rice & 1 of each kabob, salad on the same plate. Rice had a very different flavor of spice & a little overpowering, needed salt. Kabobs were seasoned correctly, they were on the tough side either ground to much or cooked to much. my son ordered appetizer mantu dumpling stuffed ground meet and onions. it was ok nothing special. I ordered lamb shank over rice, it was very tender but it lacked having a sear on it, lamb needed spices very much, it should have been the star of the plate not buried under rice, rice has to many raisins and sliced carrots. this plate would have been much better with a side plate of parsley, onions, cucumber, sumac. and a sauce for lamb. A warm pita bread would have been great as no bread was served with either dinner. If we try it again we will try the chunks of grilled kabobs on skewer and lamb chops. also bathroom needs to be cleaned as men and women use same restroom and wife said it was not clean. read more

This small family owned Mediterranean grill deserves to be noticed. Locals you have to try this local business. We were going to go next door to a Pho shop but ended up here and so glad we found this gem. All meats are grilled fresh to order. Ok that's basic but the flavor of the meats are so tasty. I love both the chicken kubideh and the grilled chicken kabob. Piping out, smoky taste, juicy and tender. Their rice pilaf actually has great flavor and not bland. Believe me. The combo is great and very healthy with cucumber salad pita bread. The owners are Afghani and super friendly. Treats you like a family friend and always has a smile when speaking to you. They shared a delicious sauce that's not on menu, forgot the name lol. It's a spicy fragrant sauce that's compliments their meats so well. Casual dining setting. Ordered take out via their website for Valentines day. When you order through their website, your first order is 20% off. I saw some influencers post about their food and figured that if I'm going to try something new, then 20% off is the way to go! What caught my eye was that they had lamb kabobs and rack of lamb! So I decided to go for their lamb kabob plate with salad on the side. My husband decided to get their gyro wrap. We only had to wait a few more minutes for the food to be ready when we got there. When I took the food home, I noticed that they forgot the pita bread. Each plate is supposed to come with rice, salad, and pita bread. The rice looked more plain than their instagram pictures? As for the lamb kabob, the meat was tough and chewy. It also had very little lamb taste to it -- it almost seems like it was beef? I was a little disappointed in that. There is incredible and that green sauce which I called mama sauce lol cause I asked him one day what kind of sauce is that and they said mama makes it. It's always consistent. Customer service is amazing. I have been there more than 50 times, and I have taken every single friend of mine and I've had business meetings there I'm sure they think this person must really love our food to bring everyone there and I definitely do and love the Customer Service as well. let's not forget the portions of the food is pretty good size and I must say I never finish my food.
