I absolutely love Dryft and was excited to try Fine Line (their sister restaurant). My friend and I…read morewent on Thursday night and decided to eat outside. We started with the corn salad. It was ok but the corn was not charred at all. We then split the strawberry & burrata pizza. It was ok- but lacked a solid umami flavor. It needed more salt and pepper to be enjoyed. The worst part of the experience was that the manager (I think- he was dressed in all black & I saw the staff asking him questions) came out twice to smoke. He smoked by the railing close to Starbucks, which was about 20 feet away from us. Yet both times the cigarette smoke blew into us, which was absolutely disgusting. There were other places further away he could have walked to smoke, but he did not. Suffice to say I will not be back. I'll stick with Dryft.

Would def want to come back in summer. I hate high top tables (Im fat with short legs) but thats all that was open (and as far as I remember - thats all they had) but we toughed it out. Food was GOOD... OMG the broccoli rabe was insane - Its my go to and if on the menu, Im getting it. Pizza was great, the egg rolls were great too, Drinks were good. Our server was the best. Definitely a spot I would add into the rotation on a regular basis!

Dryft was an upscale experience from the usual stands and restaurants that historically been part of the Revere Beach dining experience since mid-century and further back. Dryft is easy to get to from the beach side and the subway. We ate on the outdoor deck. The restaurant is above street level for an ocean view. What a great way to enjoy a summer afternoon. Our service was great, professional not overly friendly. I liked the atmosphere, casual but a bit upscale for Revere Beach. The food was delicious. I tried the clam chowder, and ordered the mushroom gnocchi. Which both delicious. They have a full bar and they offer high tops, regular chairs and indoor & outdoor seating. The menu has a Lunch price until 3 and a dinner price. I'll be back.

I came in at about 8:45 when they close at 10, and I was told they could not seat me outside because the kitchen was closing. I said if I order oysters or something that doesn't require the grill, can I be seated outside? They said they would ask the kitchen. The host came back and said sure, that would be fine. Then brought me through the dining room to a table. I asked again if I could be seated outside because I am eating, she said no, even though there were about 8 or 9 tables available outside. So I asked to be seated at the table by the window closest to the ocean, which you couldn't see out of based on the reflections of the lights. I likely would have chosen another place if I knew it would be so difficult to get a table outside even when they are available. So I ordered a dozen oysters, half blondes from Blue Hill Bay Maine, half were from Little Pilgrim, Mass.; they were delicious and fresh. I looked them up afterwards and I'm not sure they gave me the right names, but they do look close and at least they had a relative idea of where they were from. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche with plantains, it was good with a decent amount of shrimp but I felt like there could be more, and the plantain chips took up the majority of the dish to make it look bigger. It's a great idea & taste, but could be executed much better. I tried their Dragon's Kiss for a drink which I liked. I forgot our servers name, she was nice but I did feel like she had wanted me to order more for a bigger tip. Tip: give great service and you don't have to upsell to get a bigger tip. It was $120 for 2 drinks, a dozen oysters, and a shrimp ceviche appetizer. dragons kiss 8.5/10 oysters: blue hill bay blonde, me (?) 10/10 little pilgrim, ma (?) 9/10 shrimp ceviche 7/10 Overall it's a beautiful new-ish (3 years) restaurant overlooking Revere Beach, if you can convince them to give you a table outside. Food is good, not great but I'd need to try them again to give a better opinion. Service is just okay, I didn't like the bait and switch of the tables, or that I just came for a few oysters and a couple drinks and it was $120. ambiance: 4/5 food: 4/5 drinks: 4/5 service: 2.5/5 Dryft: 2.6/5 *docked a point for the table situation. there was no reason why we couldn't have a table outside, especially when I told them I would order raw options to make it easier for the kitchen. there were other people outside.

She was super kind and as we were leaving even told us she was glad we decided to stay. It was a cold rainy night, but I can imagine this is a really cool place to go during the summer. There is a back patio that looks really nice. It's situated in the same parking lot as Harley Davidson. There's not much else in this neighborhood. I'm a bit of a pizza snob and I have to say this would not be my first choice for pizza on the North Shore, but overall the pizza was decent. They have a lot on the menu. Like a LOT. Maybe too much? There's pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches, tacos, salads and a lot of variety as far as flavors. We will most likely be back.

It's not normal, not professional, and not something I would ever expect from someone representing a business. If this is how the owner handles mild criticism, I would be extremely cautious about trusting them with any service that requires judgment, maturity, or respect. With so many incredible pizza places all over the North Shore, don't waste your money here. Go to someplace with some charm and owners that know how to run a business.
