Been going to Kipo's for a decade, maybe more. Never had an issue. Today my husband and I got steak and cheese for a change and mine was TERRIBLE. I asked for it with peppers, onions, mayo and bbq sauce. The sub was DRENCHED in sauce and was watery from the peppers and onions not being cooked properly. It was disgusting. It looked like chili in a sub roll. Worst part is I called back and said I was a loyal customer and was really disappointed with the quality of the sub - hoping to get money back for one of the subs. I paid $26 for two subs which is nuts but whatever. The manager proceeded to pick a fight with me and refused to return my money! It's a shame to see this happen because that's not how a customer should be treated so we won't be back. In today's world every loyal customer counts. I'll spare you the photo because it's gross. This weekend we put in a large to-go order with Kippo's for a birthday party we were having locally. We ended up buying a platter of sandwiches as well as a platter of chicken broccoli alfredo. When we arrived the staff here was incredible and made us feel at home. The food they prepared looked great, and the pasta was fresh and hot which was great. The cost for our food was reasonable, and they made sure to ask us if we needed any condiments or silverware. When we finally had the chance to eat, the food was delicious. The tuna fish sandwiches were great and the pasta was delicious as well. Everything was made to order and we couldn't have asked for better service or mass catered food. We love this family owned restaurant and we can't wait to come back in the future. read more

it has been a while since i last got food from kipos..couple years or so. Always had a good beef, good fish and chip plate, and even steak and cheese subs. Went there today for fish and chips and a beef and boy did it fall off a cliff. I wouldn't ever recommend this place to anyone. Kipo's has one of the best roast beefs. This and Kelly's Roast Beef are the best roast beefs I've had so far. To start out, this roast beef has a good bun, it's big, and filling as well. A key for what makes a good roast beef is a good sauce. Kipo's has a great sauce. I noticed that this one seems to have a little of a spicy kick to it. And of course the beef itself is nice and tender. For the other food, it's nothing special, but nothing terrible. I found the subs okay. I think Sonny Noto's has better subs. In a town with so many sub places, Kipos has always been my standby. Above average quality subs and very good prices. Recently they changed the kind of bread they used, and I love the new bread. The guys behind the counter know how to put a sandwich together, not too much sauce, but not too little. I've had the mozzarella sticks, fries, and the steak and cheese spring rolls. The long road down hill. kipos use to be my go to for fingers and roastbeef. As of late though they cant get an order right, constantly forget sauces or toppings or sides. The roast beefs use to be hot rare and piled high, now they are cold with a small squirt of bbq sauce and about as thin as a mcdouble. No doubt five stars. Kipo's has been around forever and has been my favorite sub shop for as long as I can remember. They're friendly and the food is top notch, for a very reasonable price. Felt in the mood for a sub so I stopped in around 12:30 yesterday. I ordered a turkey sub and found it odd when the woman behind the counter asked me about chicken parm options. I corrected her and again said, no I want a turkey sub. She said okay and asked what I wanted on it which was mayo, tomatoes and pickles then asked again if I was sure I didn't want cheese. That should have been a sign. The wait was about 15 minutes and people ordering after me were getting their food much faster. Eventually, they handed me the sub and I left only to find it was a chicken nugget sub. Now, the chicken nuggets were great so I can't complain but it didn't really work in sub bread with mayo, pickles and tomatoes. So I ate the chicken and scraped the toppings off of the bread for an improvised salad but I really wish they had listened to my initial order even after I corrected the woman. I probably wouldn't go back because it's important to get good and correct service. The chicken nuggets were delicious and the reason for three stars. It'd be 1 if the rating were only based on service and not food. read more

the food is good but expensive.... the other thing i found about kipos is that they often make mistakes on phone orders. And now they charge you .75 cents to use your credit card for purchases. As many may know this .75 cent charge is more than the credit card companies charge... In my opinion it's the cost of doing business. So I have dined at this restaraunt plenty of time enough to make a decent review. So I every time I visit it is always clean inside and tidy around the building great for bussiness. Their food is great, alot better than most shops in the area trust me on this. Negetives only would be that the seating area is very very...let me repeat very small...(seats 10 people comfortably). If you go in there on lunch time expect it to be packed in there, and expect to take your food else where. There is no bathroom for the public.. so if you gotta go you have to beg them to use theirs. Another negetive is that is you do not tip them they give you very disgusting looks.....I have caught them on numerous occasions.....They also refused to deliver to my work place because we did not tip a driver 1 time which is questionable in my book....anyhow great food check it out. read more

Probably the best sub shop in wakefield. Have been going here for years and I have never been disappointed. They staff is very pleasant and you can tell with the quality of food that they care about the product and the customer. We ordered two greek salads with chicken. Not much to the salad, chicken was excellent. What bothered me was when I got the salads home, there was no feta cheese for the Greek salad. When I called and asked to come back to get the feta cheese that should have been put on the salad to begin with, I got attitude, and they charged me an extra $2.00! I do not know how you forget to put the ingredient on the salad that makes a the difference between a salad and a greek salad, but then to charge me extra for the feta cheese is inexcusable.
