Valsos is next to my house and the place is very nice and clean and the staff are amazing. The food is very good and very delicious. Plenty of street parking. Also itabout 10 minutes walk to Revere Beach and Revere Beach train station.

    Pork Belly

Tasty pork belly for late nite eats. Close to the Revere Beach T station. Inside is dimly lit ambiance, perfect for a date night or solo quick bite. The affogato was delicious as well. Bartenders were attentive and helpful.

It's no surprise this place would be packed to the gills on a warm summer's night. Enjoy America's First Vegetable Tower on your way to America's First Beach. Thank goodness for map apps because this place is tucked away like a joey in a pouch. Once arrived, better hope you beat all the other world travelers in line. And if there aren't open tables, head to the bar for just as friendly service as the four-tops. Those craft beer people will be happy to know of the four or so locals on tap. For me it was a blood orange wheat. Imagine...wheat...and blood orange. How could you say no. For those fru-fru types, go for one of several mojito varieties. Two words: fresh mint. Maybe they pipe it in from mint-ville, but there was a giant bunch placed into water while I was saddled up to the bar. It's your non-negotiable "secret ingredient" for passion, coconut, or the ever-popular "classic". Or get even wilder with the Arví Arví or Rustic Lover (somebody's nickname in high school). I'll be back over at the draught section. Don't worry, I'm not skipping over that Vegetable Tower; it was the main reason for my unforgettable night. You might have this image of a Tupperware with raw cauliflower and ranch dip, or multi-layers of dried carrots and broccoli. No no no. Zucchini, eggplant, squash, bell peppers, onions, and smoked gouda--all grilled and placed on some special ricotta mixture. You'll only think I'm spending too much time describing it until you try it. A fun vibe with (I guess) latin dance music kept me feeling like I was on the cool kid list, and friendly service accompanied the tasty food. I'll break out the gps again for the return trip as soon as possible.

Lowkey spot that stays open late with delicious food & good drinks. I've liked everything I've ordered for food here.

Valsos is incredible. I would never have found this place if it wasn't for a suggestion from a friend who lived in the area. What a hidden gem! The restaurant itself is super small, accommodating only 4-5 parties at a time, but they do have quite a bit of space at the bar, which is where we sat. Our bartender was incredible. She suggested a few drinks that were all delicious and checked in on us just often enough. She seemed to be the only bartender/server in the restaurant, so she was busy but efficient and friendly. All of the drinks were delicious and the food was even more impressive. the octopus appetizer was one of our favorites, but it's seriously hard to choose. It's hard to perfect octopus and they have done it. The Yucca Gnocchi was also insanely good. I would get both as apps again. The burger was one of the best I've had. My only mistake was ordering both the yucca gnocchis and the scallop entree because their flavors are almost identical. Both delicious though.

Made our last minute reservation at this restaurant on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. The food, drinks, vibe, ambiance, everything was so great. No wonder the restaurant was busy the entire time we were there. I still think about how good the dessert tasted. We ordered the White chocolate Pudding to finish off our dinner, safe to say that the was dessert I've ever had!

    Cocktails, duck and fritta mixta.

We were in the area and thought Valsos looked like a cool spot for drinks and food, and it was. Sat at the bar and asked them to turn off Miss Universe for football haha. Really interesting drink menu and mine with gin and basil was great. Friend liked his wackier combos but $14.50 drinks and $12.50 glasses of wine seem high. We split three bites of octopus on a little cake, duck on a tostone type thing and a fried mixed plate of calamari haddock and peppers. All done well. It was more crowded at 9:45 than 7:45 when we got there. $59 each with two drinks pre tip. Would go back but gotta try the Cambodian place across the street first.

Grilled Octopus with Romanesco sauce and mini potatoes!! Delicious!!

We were in a completely empty restaurant but they still managed to sit a very loud party right next to us. Ordered a glass of Cabernet- fairly decent pour. Salad dressing delicious- not crazy about the dark green top leaves from the romaine- this is the part I throw out- but definitely edible. My husbands fish was fresh - small portion, mashed potatoes starchy, veg was good - small portion. I had the haddock francase- tiny portion of fish- the sauce was delicious but saturated the 'breading' kind of wrecking it (maybe put the sauce on the side?). Risotto awful. Bread was freshly baked- the crusty part was good-inside seemed a little undercooked. That was my husband's birthday dinner.... Opted to stop at the local grocery store for desert- best thing we ate all day!

When you think waterfront you immediately think fresh & vibrant with menu items that deliver that wow factor! While the menu looks promising, the execution certainly needs work. Let's start off with the small plates, Mila's meatballs. Our meatballs came before our dinks! Wicked fast! Sadly they were lackluster. Dense , a bit cold & grey in the center & lacked that glorious soft texture to the point where I questioned if they were made fresh. I was told they were! A good meatball is a perfect balance of flavor, texture, and juiciness and theirs didn't! The whipped ricotta was quite nice as well as the marinade was seasoned well. Pulled pork Poutine Excited about it being presented in a cast iron skillet. But the pork was so incredibly salty and the tater tots were definitely store bought. Cheese was melted nicely and that added nutmeg gave it a nice kick. While the seasoning was good, the salt was so dominating you couldn't taste much of anything else. Giannone Chicken Chicken & potatoes with a mushroom sauce. That's it!! An overtly basic dish serving one breast & wing sitting on a huge bed of oven roasted potatoes. Lacking any profound seasoning with some of the potatoes being undercooked. For $27 I was expecting a whole lot more. Some acidity, some spice or maybe a vegetable of some sort Our cocktails while tasty were mostly ice and were also quite pricy. I understand given the location the prices are to scale but not to this extent where our drinks were only a few small sips. I had such high expectations of this new waterfront eatery. And I still do. Hoping they make the necessary changes and execute better in the future. I'm certainly rooting for them.

Steak tacos are - as someone else has mentioned - to die for. My filet mignon was juicy and VERY tender. I mean, it was so easy to cut apart. Maybe I'm too old, but fine dining should involve that refinement. Stop calling yourself fine dining and call it expensive food with uppity servers and no dress code. Food was amazing- so please know I would absolutely go back for the food! We had lobster bisque, the best Caesar salad (top 5), calm chowder, shrimp and clams, lamb and a fillet. During our meal just after the lovely table side service of the lobster bisque my son accidentally moved the table with his feet and the drinks flew into my food. Our server watched it happen and walked away. She turned not to help but out of disgust walked the other way! The food runner came to the rescue! But then we were charged for another drink that spilled! I don't know but when your at fine dining and you get double charged for a table moving and treated like you are an inconvenience that gets me. Plus she was clearly angry with us. Food 5 stars, service 2, price for the service we received totally not worth it. Don't waste your money to get treated badly. Sorry kitchen but front of the house ruined it.
