We saw that they have the chocolate strawberry desserts, as well as baklava, as well as Dubai chocolate. We ordered the homemade baklava, and it was excellent! Since we had never heard of the Dubai chocolate, the owners gave us a piece to try, and OMG, that is a winner! If you love milk chocolate, and pistachio cream inside. Harir Gyro has been sold. DO NOT PATRONIZE!!!!!! I am so disappointed that Harir Gyro sold out. The new owners appear to be transitioning to Thai food. It has been months since they took over and they have yet to figure out how to update the menu screens. They still show Gyros and Greek oriented dishes. One board shows a couple of Halal dishes yet the business name says Asian Grill. ???? The Tzatziki, Humus, and chili sauce on the table have been replaced by Hoisin Sauce, Fish Sauce, and Sriracha Sauce. What used to be the best Gyro in the Sacto area is now the worst. The Pita was flaky/crispy and the plentiful Beef/Lamb meat was salty, thin and grilled to the crispiness of bacon. The Chicken Schwarma was dry and didn't have much chicken to it. If you are looking for a Gyro - this is no longer the place to go. read more

Harir Gyro and Burger is such a great find. I stopped in after grabbing a TooGoodToGo deal and there were a few others doing the same. It's in a small plaza next to a pawn shop and a Mexican spot, and while the restaurant is on the smaller side, all the window signs make it easy to find. Inside there are a few booths and people waiting for to go orders, but I didn't see anyone dining in. My food was made fresh and took about ten minutes. The man who greeted me didn't talk much, but it was a fast and simple pickup. When the order came out, everything was already packed up and ready to go. I peeked inside the bag before leaving and was excited to see a full chicken platter with rice, salad, hummus, and tzatziki. They also included a chicken gyro on a super soft pita with lots of chicken chunks and fresh veggies and herbs. The food was delicious even after a twenty minute drive home. The tzatziki tasted really fresh, the rice was fluffy and seasoned well, and the chicken had great flavor. There was plenty of food for me, my husband, and our four year old to share. I ordered a gyro of shaved beef with tomato, onion, parsley, lettuce & tatziki sauce. It smelled superb. The salinity was overwhelming. The Dolmades were little bites of too salty rice wrapped in grape leaves w perfect oil & lemon sauce. Sadly, we won't be able to return. This place is down the street from our church so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The place is pretty hole in the wall type but the flavor is unmatched! I've only ever liked one Gyro place and it's all the way in Dublin. So we'd get it everytime we went to visit family down there. But this place is even better and it's near us so that's awesome.
