We went to Sam's Grill House for lunch on Saturday. The location is right on a corner and easy to find with plenty of parking. The restaurant is clean and spacious, featuring some very interesting art on the walls. We ordered the beef/lamb plate and a chicken gyro. The plate was well-loaded with meat, rice, salad, pita, hummus, and tzatziki sauce. The gyro was packed with marinated chicken. The service was pretty fast; we ordered at the counter, and the gentleman who took our order was very helpful. We decided to substitute regular fries for tater tots, which was the best move! Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Sam's Grill House for a satisfying meal.

I have not tried the Mediterranean food which I regret because the hot chicken is definitely not the best. Very small portions and not the best flavor. The tacos seem like the best deal over the sandwiches so if you do come in to try the chicken, maybe go that route. The inside is painted pretty cool so that's a plus but if you come here maybe try the Mediterranean food over the hot chicken.

    What I ordered.

This restaurant is sad. This restaurant has no air conditioning. I'm melting is all. It's like a sauna in here lol. The food isn't crazy good, but good. I had the chicken Gyro. The guy at th3 counter was nice but he's Greek and couldn't understand English very well. The restaurant has a funk to it though like the smell of cheap disinfectant cleaners. It kind of smells like grandmas house. Lol Oh did I say it's mighty warm in here. You'll never get cold in this place during the winter months. I'm sweating lol wow. If you're in a pinch and want something quick. The food is just ok nothing to get excited about too much. The chicken in my Gyro tasted very fresh and moist the flavors were there but nothing to jump over joy about. Just very average but good. The prices are good for what you get. I would come back here. This place needs air-conditioning is all. I recommend sitting outside.

I ordered the chicken kabob plate it was Excellent and presentation of the meal was outstanding. Chicken was moist not over cooked humus and dill taziki sauce were excellent, he fried the pitas and they had a wonderful taste and texture. I highly recommend this new place.

Out with the old.. In with the new.. This was the case when owner Naz Muradyan has transformed his very popular Mediterranean-inspired "Armenian Grill House" into a hot new chicken restaurant simply known as "Inferno Chicken". And with the popularity of chicken restaurants thriving in this part of town (most notably "Raising Cane's" & "Angry Chickz"), why not give Citrus Heights even MORE of a variety of places to check out? Located in the heart of the Birdcage Marketplace shopping center, Inferno Chicken opened its doors in August 2021. Their location is within walking distance to Target and close to other major businesses such as Old Navy and a dental office. Parking is relatively easy as its best to park in the Target lot. I ended up coming here during the evening of Saturday 10/2/2021 at around 8:15pm and was craving a snack to satisfy my taste buds. The interior setup of this place is rather spacious is well lit. It has relatively the same seating as Armenian Grill had but with new chairs and a bright colorful mural that wraps alongside the main dining area that reads "Who You Callin' a Chicken". There is also plush black seating complete with modern floors and a self-serve fountain area. Since I didn't want anything too hearty, I went with their two tenders (for $5.99), a side order of fries (for $2.99), and a small drink. There are several different "heat" levels at this place (southern, honey BBQ, lemon pepper, buffalo, Asian fury, tickle, warming up, feel the heat, make me cry, & inferno) ranging from mildest to hottest. Since I wanted something with a little spice but not to a point where I'd be crying and reaching for a gallon of milk, I went with two tenders of the "Tickle" spice. Business was relatively slow but it still took about 15 minutes to receive my order. No big deal at all since they may have been understaffed. Overall, these chicken tenders offer very crispy breading with perfectly tender meat on the inside. It had the right amount of spice while it was a very generous amount of food for the money. I do have to say that the batter that was used to coat these tenders was well above average as this was a slam dunk in my book. It almost tasted as if I was back in Tennessee (where I was at the weekend before my visit to Inferno Chicken). The fries were also nice and crispy with a light dusting of seasoning on them. All in all, "Inferno Chicken" was a well above average restaurant and a place that I would highly recommend checking out if you're an avid fan of fried chicken. I also feel with the demographics and the love for chicken, this restaurant will be a better predecessor than the Armenian restaurant that it replaced. With that said and done, I am giving Inferno Chicken an above average four stars.

Inferno chicken is a great business that offers delicious chicken meals. I came here one night for dinner and decided to try the chicken bowl. It consisted of chopped chicken, rice, parsley and two different sauces. The sauces were delicious, but I wish more chicken was added to the plate. I also ordered the chicken wings that came with a side of veggie sticks. I really liked the wings. Staff was really friendly and helpful. They provided great recommendations to try. I will be coming back.

Went here when they first started as "inferno chicken" the owner Sam was a huge down to earth guy and amazing family behind him!! The parking lots are filled with parking so that's no problem I have not tried there falafels or any of there new items that aren't on the inferno chicken side of there location, I will be coming soon to try that menu aswell! Hope the absolute best for Sam and his location must try!

Chicken sandwich was juicy and I found it to have very good flavor it was season to perfection. Comes with the side I decided to substitute with vegetables instead of fries, everything was very fresh and good. Staff were extremely polite and professional Place was very clean and comfortable Plenty of room for friends and family Very affordable price

Chicken Gyro with a side of Fries

I pass by this spot all the time when I go to Target and finally decided to give it a try it did not disappoint! The food was incredibly fresh, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. I'm so glad I stopped in and will definitely be coming back. The service was fast and the place was clean.

Great food! Don't come if you're in a hurry but it's worth a wait. Fresh ingredients very neatly prepared. Did I mention the fries are to die for??

Absolute trash food. Not sure how the hell the bill came out to $37 but this place is likely paying yelp to prop up the likes and good reviews. Basic restaurant depot food. Cheap fries. Would never come back The taco was an insult. Chicken sandwich wasnt anything special.

We decided to try this place out. My husband got a shawarma, I had the gyro, and our daughter had the cheese burger. My husband said that his shawarma was very good, loved the spice that it had, he said the spice was a nice surprise. My gyro was good but it was spicy for me. I had no idea that it would be as spicy as it was because every other Greek place we've eaten at never add some kind of spiciness to it. Seemed like they added a curry spice to it which I did not like. They seemed to add the same spice to my daughter's cheese burger and she did not like it. The fries however were amazing!! If we go again I might try something else or ask for no spiciness because my mouth was just on fire the whole time.

    Chicken Gyro

We've come here twice for Sam's gyros, shawarmas, and kabobs and are beyond pleased with the burst of flavors and spices in every bite. There is a small wait because Sam cooks everything himself, but that personal touch goes a long way. The restaurant and kitchen are kept clean, and everything off the grill smells so good. I hope to try his Inferno Chicken menu next time I'm in the mood for fried chicken. Authentic, fresh, and delicious every time. Thank you, Sam, for all the good food!

It has been months since they took over and they have yet to figure out how to update the menu screens. They still show Gyros and Greek oriented dishes. One board shows a couple of Halal dishes yet the business name says Asian Grill. ???? The Tzatziki, Humus, and chili sauce on the table have been replaced by Hoisin Sauce, Fish Sauce, and Sriracha Sauce. What used to be the best Gyro in the Sacto area is now the worst. The Pita was flaky/crispy and the plentiful Beef/Lamb meat was salty, thin and grilled to the crispiness of bacon. The Chicken Schwarma was dry and didn't have much chicken to it. The flip side is when they charge too much and build a gyro, for example, with tiny scraps of tomato, six fries at the most, the tiniest bit of tsatziki on the pita (a tiny plastic cup with a bit more? +50¢) AND - unless you invest an additional $3.50 for 'double meat' as I did, it's almost not worth it. The GOOD news is, that first bite of steak almost brought tears to my eyes it was so delicious, tender, perfectly cooked medium rare, and seasoned apparently by the gods. The pita was equally yummy. AND I did get $5 off my first order under their new rewards program, but I did have to spend $20 to get it. So... their miserly approach to ingredients may keep them in business BUT will I pay $17 again for a steak souvlaki pita any time soon? Probably not.

I was craving a yummy Falafel Corner Chicken Shawarma wrap and visited the Granite Bay restaurant which was closest to my location at the time. I should've known something was not right about this Falafel Corner when I was greeted by a white boy who didn't know what Chicken Shwarma was. My food was truly awful and tasted nothing like the Chicken Shawarma at the other 5 locations I've been to. This version of the wrap had hardly any meat which BYW did not taste anything like Falfel Corner Chicken Shawarma. Instead of being packed with delicious chicken and onions, this wrap had spinach filler mixed in with the chicken and everything was completely drenched in a nasty sauce that absolutely was not tahini or tzatziki. It almost tasted fishy and looked slightly pink. It was totally gross. I ate a few bites and threw that nasty sandwich in my compost. I would have asked for my money back if I was eating onsite. But unfortunately I took this nasty wrap to go and didn't know what I was in for until I got home. One thing is for sure, I will never return to this Falafel Corner location ever again.
