I broke down on the freeway with an overheated. Engine and found this shop very nearby. When I pulled up, i was met at the bay by the owner who immediately gave me his full attention and began trying to assess the problem. I arranged a ride and the following day on a saturday morning, received an early call that he was going to have my car repaired that day because he knew that I was without transportation. He went above and beyond. He prioritized getting me back in my ride.And doing a quality repair for a fair price. We broke down near Cabazon, heading back to OC from AZ on this late afternoon. Of course AAA suggested their local shops but no one had an alternator belt for my truck, or way too busy to help. And as expected, it was too late in the day for the stealership to make a quick repair as well. Thankfully, the wife found Halbert on her internet search. My car broke down and I was fortunate to exit the freeway at the exit that eventually led me to Halbert. AAA towed my car there and even though it was a Sunday he came in to meet me, hear about the car's issues and communicate his intention tackle the job. The car ultimately wasn't worth saving (too high a cost for repairs) but Halbert's honesty and good communication were evident. Halbert did a great job working on my 08 E90 he replaced the Valve cover, Gaskets, Eccentric Shaft Sensor, Voltage Regulator, Spark plugs, CoilPacks, and Ignition coil guides. Being new to the area i searched for an Auto Body Shop. I read reviews to help decide who to go to and came across Halbert's Auto Garage. I read the google reviews that are so great and he seemed like the right one to take my car to. Halbert's Auto Garage is everything great the reviews say it is. When i called he was friendly and helpful. I brought my car in for a check engine light. I was so thankful for him being honest that it was something minor. I was on my way to Texas when our car broke down. It was late Friday afternoon and most mechanics were closed. We found Halbert's shop online and gave him a call. He was very helpful and even provided us with a loner car for about an hour after he closed so that we could find a rental car place. He met us back at the shop after we got our rental car. He provided a good explanation as to what the problem with the car could be and how he was going to fix it. We left our car with him while we continued on with our trip. He called on Monday and told me that the problem was fixed. He did an inspection on my car and let me know that my rear brakes needed work. He took care of that for me as well. Everything he did, he provided great service and a good price. He could have easily taken advantage of me because of the desperate situation we were in, but he did not.
