I'd give a thousand stars if I could. Not many qualified Porsche repair shops around this area and the dealers are $250 plus per hour plus try to sell you everything under the sun. I'm just so grateful I found Walter and Odilia. Honest. Caring. Beyond fair. Great mechanic. Really knows his stuff. Took my Porsche to multiple shops in the desert. One told me I needed $9000 worth of work. One guy couldn't fix it. One shop told me I had to wait 4 weeks before getting to it. Looked on Yelp and gave a call. Talked to Walter. Told him the problem. 'I can fix it' and sure enough, he did. It was a simple fix and he could have ripped me off, like most of them do. Besides my car, there was a Bentley, an Audi Q5 and other exotics. Took me son's 1999 Nissan frontier there to check a coolant leak. Prompt service, friendly and was well taken care of. Thought it might be a blown head gasket, nope, just a loose hose clamp on the fire wall I couldn't see. Spoke to the mechanic and he told me it was a simple fix, pressure tested the cooling system and also discovered the radiator cap was going bad. Charged for his time and effort which was no problem! Great value and piece of mind knowing this place can be trusted. Highly recommend. Will be returning for any future needs. read more

We went into see why we had a check engine light and were told over 5 things to fix. we felt they were greedy right before xmas and they didnt even diagnose the tire issue which was one of the main problems. They charged 30 dollars MORE than Sign up the street. We told them we have mechanic experience and he still tried to bs us on a lot of stuff! despite him taking the easy route and saying we needed to just get a new rim the tire issue resolved on its own. A lot of times Merceedes will have a check engine light for no reason.. This guy said we MUST fix all fie of those things he found on his sensor in order for us to pass smog.. What he doesnt know is that oil leak we have has been doing that for a couple of years and it never interfered with passing smog.. Broke our trust at how greedy he was to take advantage of a senior citizen and only do a partial diagnostic and charge us full price!! read more

I had an appointment, and they had told me to drop my car to do a diagnostic check. I had waited a whole day, knowing if they had cars they hadn't checked, I wouldn't drop it there. Then my warranty didn't cover and Walter said there's an engine problem but didn't even do a diagnostic check. I had told them I had a coolant leak already, and that's all they told me I had and how much to repair. But it's like how are you going to tell me to pay this much and no diagnostic done? Very bad experience I expected more. read more

I'm so happy I was able to find a great affordable and local German auto mechanic. My car was having a misfiring issue with the ignition coil. The family that owns this business is more than kind, responsive, and fixed my issue the same day! Not to mention they're open on Saturday which was really helpful since I have a full time job and I'm a full time student. NEW OWNERS ARE TERRIBLE. This had been the only mechanic I've gone to in the last year or two. Unfortunately I will not be coming back due to the new owners. Bruce the old owner was very good, I'd stop by for quick fixes he'd get me in and out of the shop quick and charged reasonable prices. One time I brought my car in to get a harness rewired, Bruce did it right in front of me and was done in less then 10 minutes, and he didn't even charge me a dime. What's funny is when I brought my car in to the new owner for the exact same repair, he wanted me to leave my car from Saturday to Tuesday, and tried charging me $150 for the exact same 10 minute repair. That is why I don't feel comfortable bringing my car in here anymore. If I did not know how easy it was to fix the problem I probably would have ended up paying them some ridiculous amount for a 10 minute repair. I wouldn't trust them seems like there're just out to get your money. read more

Worst experience ever. This shade-tree mechanic, who is not registered with the Buraeu of Automotive Repair, took 2 weeks to order my engine, then a week and a half to install it, braking my alternator and making me replace it. After installing the engine, I came by to test drive and it overheated on the test drive because he put the coolant hose too close to the alternator. Now the engine still overheats, none of my gauges work, and the idle is ridiculous high. Walter worst mechanic ever. read more

Excellent service and quality work! Took in my Mini Cooper (it overheated). Showed up at 4:30pm, shop closes at 4:00pm. He stayed open for me and I was able to leave my vehicle for repairs. I walked off the property and was about to call for a ride when the owner of the shop pulled up next to me and offered me a ride home! Excellent customer service! I would normally take the vehicle to the Mini dealer for service but the dealer is in Ontario and I live in Yucaipa (such a hassle to drive out there). The Owner explained to me that he uses only original parts and never any "cheap" parts. He's been in business for 25 years and talking with him I could tell he is very passionate about his trade. I explained to him that the Mini is an extra vehicle so I was in no rush to get it back. Well, he had the vehicle repaired in 1 day. The thermostat was in bad shape and the lines were leaking coolant. He kept it and showed me in detail what was wrong and the repairs he made. I was very pleased with the service I received! We live in Las Vegas Nevada and while traveling in CA, towards Palm springs our Mercedes steering froze and we were able to make it to the nearest exit which was Yucaipa Blvd. The steering was so hard to turn but made it to a gas station. We googled for a repair shop and European Automotive showed up, and to our luck only half a block up, I walked to the shop and spoke to Odilia & Walter he knew what the problem without seen the vehicle, he asked if I could drive it to his shop and I said No, so he had Odilia drive us there to pick up my wife and Walter drove our car to the shop. It was Saturday around 2 pm. We thought it wouldn't be ready to keep us going, but they were able to find the parts and stayed late to fix it and help us be on our way, also very reasonable. We are very thankful cause we know no other shop would of fixed it in that time frame. Blessings to them. We will be back again. read more

Good, honest mechanics are virtually impossible to find nowadays, and Bruce really is as good and honest as it gets. We now have almost 400,000 miles on our Toyota and it's thanks to Bruce. Not once in 10 years of taking cars to him have has he ever upsold me on a bunch of crap; he always shows me defective parts after he's removed them from the car, so I can see for myself how they failed; he will test electronic components with a multimeter, to definitively establish if they have gone bad; and whenever I research car problems online he's very receptive to the solutions that I find. His prices are fair and he doesn't mind if I order parts online. Look past the coffee machines and receptionists that you find at other mechanics (most notably the 'stealerships') and take your car to Bruce. read more

I went to have my Benz diagnosed and repaired after someone recommended this shop. My car was running at a higher than normal temp. After $800 and multiple parts my car is still the same. Now Bruce, the mechanic,tells me that these types of cars run at higher temperatures. He also felt that my radiator may not be at 100%. Which of these is it? These cars run at higher temps or the radiator is bad. I agreed to give him a chance to fix the problem and he told me he would call me with an estimate to fix my radiator the next day. I have not heard from him since. I can understand that working on cars can be an exercise in trial and error but I have a problem with a shop that takes me for $800 and does not even try to remedy the original problem. I don't think this guy is a very good mechanic and his customer service is also lacking. read more
