    Hot Chocolate

This café had been bookmarked to try for a while. It's definitely one of the nicer looking cafes in Toronto. The high ceilings create an airy feel. There are so many seats but when I arrived on a Saturday morning the place was full! Fortunately, while I was ordering my hot chocolate, some space opened up. I only had a hot chocolate so I can't comment much on the food offerings. The hot chocolate had fantastic presentation but was so blah I wouldn't have bothered putting it on the menu. If you can't do it awesome, don't bother. As far as the working side of things, WiFi tested at 91/11 and electrical outlets seemed to be everywhere so it's definitely a great place to work. I'd come back

I love spots like this! Located in the city's west end in an industrial looking building is one of the cutest coffee joints. Hale has an open concept industrial feel to it, and has a great atmosphere. There's even a foosball table and tons of seating. I ordered a drip coffee and a breakfast sandwich with eggs & bacon and the side of potatoes! I also grabbed a blueberry crumble muffin and the muffin was my favourite! The food was good but not amazing, it was definitely something I could make at home. This is one of those great local spots that you can hang out at or even work with some good food and music. The one thing I noticed was they have some shirts that you can purchase and proceeds go to Nunavut as it's really hard to get food up there. They also sell fresh coffee beans and there's free wifi! I would definitely come back here for a treat or work away ! Keep Eating, Angela

What a beautiful space. Since I came here around Christmas time, they decorated the space with warm Christmas lights too. Great coffee, delicious pistachio croissant, and very friendly employees. 5 stars.

Very cool and spacious coffee shop with wifi! Great spot to chill or even possibly get some work done! The mini outdoor patio bench area is adorable- i can imagine it being so chill and relaxing with a nice cup of coffee outdoors!

Hale Coffee serves the best cappuccino. The staffs are super friendly. I can tell that they are happy because I can see their big smile even behind their face mask. It's always nice to know that employees are having fun, it means that they are treated right. The place is also super nice and neat!

Hale Coffee is located about 3 min walking from Dupont and Lansdowne. I've tried some coffee shops that use Hale Coffee beans so I was excited to check the actual coffee shop and roastery out. Headed to Hale Coffee on a Tuesday around 1pm and found the shop packed with people (I didn't realize they also served food!). I ordered an Americano and glanced at their food menu which looked delicious. If you're around the area definitely check out Hale Coffee for great coffee and food!

After eating to much for lunch, a coffee is in order. That's how I found myself at Hale today. Huge space, delicious house-roasted blends and lots of gift ideas for the coffee nerd in your life. My absolute fave thing about Hale coffee is their millennial green lids. Sah cute and you know it. Perk up!

3.5 stars I loved the atmosphere here... open, modern, chill, and very friendly baristas. Its not often you find a coffee place that offers seating with such a large space. We got here in the late morning and wanted a good kick of flavour and caffeine. You have your choice of outside benches, inside tables where you can work on your laptop, or some lounging chairs to relax in. The place has huge windows so it never feels like a cave but a really nice happy sunny spot. The menu is quite cool as it has cashew milk as an offering. Last time we tried it was in Buffalo where it add an unique nutty note to the cappuccino. We ended up getting the cashew cappuccino and a dirty chai with almond milk. Cashew cappuccino - At a premium price of $7, this is possible one of the most expensive coffee drinks we've tried in Toronto. It is a regular smaller size and seeing how we tried it in Buffalo, we know it's not easy to source and it can be a bit more expensive. Is it worth it? uh... not quite. I'm not sure if this cashew milk was super watery but the espresso was very diluted and it just tasted really watery. For the price of $7, I would definitely skip. 3/5 Dirty Chai - It's not always a good sign when your barista goes "Oh that's new" when you request your drink. Suffice to say, the flavours were really imbalanced as well with most of it being water. I didnt get any tea flavour, spices, or even a good espresso note. A lot of it was muddled water unfortunately. 3/5 Overall, great atmosphere to relax, catch up on emails, or enjoy the sun while getting a coffee. Perhaps it was an off day but I'd skip the drinks here.

This is one of my favourite aesthetic coffee joints. I always come here to study while sipping on an Iced Matcha Latte (5/5) Although it's not written on the menu, their daily soups are so healthy and delicious They are always so friendly whenever I come for a study session. This place is great for students or for anyone who wants to get work done! There's lots of tables and even a small front patio as well!

This coffee shop is very stylish. Customers and baristas are also stylish. I am not that stylish, but I can still feel comfortable to have cold brew, which I have ordered today. Coldbrew was excellent. One of the best coffees I have had in my life. Seats and tables have space enough to work. However, this place is too nice to get things done. Probably the place is for sit alone and appreciate things in life not bring reality here like work or homework. I think 5 star coffee shop is too nice for bringing lap top and doing assignments. Bringing laptop and doing assignments are good for maybe hour star coffee shop.

Been here for a few times now! I can easily say that this is one of my top cafes in Toronto! The coffee here is great! I tried their latte and cappuccino and both were great! The pistachio croissants are to die for! Music is great which gives it a nice vibe! I usually spend her a couple of hours working! A great weekend spot!

The croissants was flaky they do provide the option of warming it for you. I later went back and got an iced americano I chose the Brazilian roast that they had that was described to have hints of chocolate I thought the Americana was awful I didn't even drink half of it I felt really bad especially because it was almost $5 I wasted on a drink I didn't like. I appreciate it that they didn't charge extra for alternative milk They also sell coffee you can make at home but from my experience I would not buy the coffee that I tried because I didn't like it. But to be fair they also had Ethiopian coffee and something else on drip, my friend she tried the drip coffee and she said it was good Aesthetically this place is beautiful they have lots of plants very chill and earthy I do feel that it's a little uninviting to anyone trying to get work done, most of the tables have signs on it that says not laptop friendly and there's only one table all the way at the back that has a laptop friendly sign and then I saw some people sitting at the counter the counter didn't have any sign. The staff were very friendly and welcoming never had any issue there

We got a matcha latte with oat milk, cappuccino, and the breakfast sandwich w smoked salmon (forgot the name). Matcha latte was great, I loved that they clarified whether I wanted sweetened or unsweetened. Sometimes cafes serve them sweetened without me realizing. It's not super crazy high quality but it's definitely better than most cafes. I only had a sip of the cappuccino but I could tell my mom didn't love it. It's just on the fruitier side so it tasted more sour and not creamy/smooth (which is what my mom prefers). Depends on your preference. She really liked the latte art though and didn't want to ruin it by drinking it! The sandwich was big and delicious. There's a hint of dill flavor which paired well with the salmon. I could tell my mom liked it. The cafe itself has a few tables and high top counter seating, as well as seating outside. There's two restrooms in the back. They seem to bake everything in house and it smelled wonderful as they brought stuff out the oven. Loved the all female staff!

I have been here a few times and this time, actually stayed for a few hours to get some work done. When you walk in, you will see immediately a long coffee bar with various coffee machines for your pour overs, cappuchinos, espresso etc. At the far back, giant machines (roasting things perhaps), workspace for the techs (I think) and a beautiful graffiti art on the back wall. The main seating area comprises of high bar stools, a few desks area with sockets and roman theatre style steps with some tables that you can work from (also with sockets) or just chat away. There is a section in the shop that is a retain space with all the beans you can buy to go and various coffee related pieces.
