The shower head is low. If you're taller than 5'5, good luck Drove about an hour from Tampa airport. Due to Covid, check in was contactless. They texted me when my room was ready. Your parking spot has your room number. There's not a lot of extra parking, but I don't think it's needed. The room: room3 was small. It had a very comfortable bed, two chairs, tv, microwave, toaster, mini fridge, coffee maker all in one room. Kind of like a typical hotel room. The bathroom was small. I did like that they had dimmer in the bathroom. They do offers toiletries: shampoo, bar soap. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The room had two doors. The back door opened up to a cute shared patio and the pools The pools: the one facing the street has a grill you can use. This is also where you can find beach chairs, ice chest, carts. Both pools have clean pool towels. The other pool has a hot tub, but we eventually figured out you have to turn it on for heat at least 10 mi prior to going in. The beach: nearby. Probably a 5 min walk down a dead end street. The beach was nice. Not too many people in that area. Of course, you won't find any service in that part. That's where the beach chairs that you can borrow come in handy. Extras: many restaurant nearby. You can walk to some. There's a trolley that passes by often that takes you to hot spots. First time staying in Haley's Couples Retreat and kicking myself for not doing my research several years back when we first discovered Anna Maria island. I loved the location of this little motel. It's located less than a block from the gulf side and less than five minutes away from the bay side. Each apartment has its own parking number which was convenient. I don't know if it was the pendemic or the heat that kept people away but, it was quiet and nice just the way we like it. This little motel can teach big hotels one thing or two in how to accommodate/treat guests. The apartment was clean and neat, we will stay in this little place again if we have the opportunity. A little on the pricey side but worth it it's like the adage says location, location, location location. read more

Haley's is our favorite hotel on AMI. My husband and I having been coming here for the last eight years. Rooms are always clean, all rooms have small kitchens fUlly stocked with everything you need if your want to cook. Management is super accommodating and staff is great. Two swimming pools- with towels, buggy's and umbrellas for the beach. They have a game room with pool table, ping pong, foose ball and lots of board games. Grill is available at the first pool for bar-b- The best part of Haley's is location- and the beach is about 100 yards away. You can catch city Trolly across the street or walk to near by restaurants. We enjoy our time here while visiting AMI. Totally recommend Haley's read more

Coming Back This is a quiet, clean, comfortable place. We had room 9 which is a suite with a fridge, sink, electric stove top and even a dishwasher. It's small. The bathroom is tiny. It's very, very clean. Even the most conscientious guest is going to drag a lot of sand all over the floors, but those floors didn't have nary a grain of sand on them, at least when we first got there. So you know they're cleaning that place very well. Our room was right next to the pool, and I was concerned there might be people out there at night talking and laughing, but all the other guests were very respectful. It was very quiet. The area is one of Precious's favorite beach towns. It's small. The gulf side is a typical beach that stretches on for miles. But the other side is less windy. The water is calmer. We like to rent kayaks and cruise the calm water. There is more wildlife here than I've seen at any other beach resort. You can't stay a couple of days here without seeing dolphins. There is also a bird sanctuary. We've seen manatees and sea turtles. The fishing is probably pretty good. So we plan on coming back to this place in the future. read more

We love staying here when vacationing on Anna Maria Island. It is family owned and operated, so it has that distinct mom and pop atmosphere and hospitality. We couldn't have felt more welcome. The beach is at the end of the residential street, and beach buggies, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys are all provided for your use. The beach water is clean, clear, and blue as in the Bahamas, so no need to travel that far! The complimentary trolley bus stop, which is actually an airconditioned bus, is 2 blocks away. They have a pool and bbq grills, but we prefer the beach. Love love love this place. read more

The property was well located,Close (walking distance)to the beach Gulf of Mexico, Very well cared for, nice chairs, places to sit, beautiful flowers and very very clean. Rooms were as described. I reserved a studio kitchen room (#01), which was ok, but its location is very close to the street with lots of car noise, and a noisy air conditioner on top of the bed. We were uncomfortable with all the noise asked for another room, the manager said Room #12 was available (no kitchen, just a small refrigerator, microwave). We took room #12, which was amazing. Quiet, great bed comfort, it appeared freshly remodeled, and private. When you book Haley's I recommend you know what room you are getting, and you should know your level of tolerance for noise and location. Besides this hiccup, I would recommend Haley's Motel, the response was very quick from the manager and accommodating. We were very happy once we moved, and made the rest of our stay great!. I liked having the convenience of a beach chair and umbrella provided by the facility. I would definitely come back here again. read more

First, be careful when reserving, the Haleys motel web site lets you book off the island, with NO notification where you are staying. Bought by someone new, and the website very misleading, second, very BASIC rooms, not worth it. Finally, watch out for there crazy pricing. Pricing varies from over 300 to over 100. If they have rooms available, and expensive, wait or dont go there. They drop prices at the end. They are terrible managers, and very basic units. read more

Haley's has everything you need to make a memorable stay on the island. We had unit 10 and it was very private with a small porch. Parking out front was very convenient. It's in a quiet area but close walking distance to bean point. If you are looking to explore more, call the monkey buss and we were downtown in a jiffy. My boyfriend and I really found it relaxing. Can't say enough about this great find. just stayed here for 4 nights. We stayed in room 11A ( we were upgraded to this room, thanks again) Very clean, spacious, comfortable bed and a very big bathroom with a great shower. Plenty of hot water. Our room had a small fridge, a coffee maker hair dryer and AC. the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Approx a 2 min walk to a great beach. Don't worry about towels, chairs umbrellas they have them all. Room was nice and clean (a bit small) but has all of the essentials. The beach is a short 2-3 minute walk away and they have beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers available to use. We loved Haley's! It was our first time visiting - both the hotel and the island - but I don't think it'll be our last. We arrived as the COVID-19 situation was ramping up, and we were very happy to find an extremely clean room. We had a king suite, which included a full kitchen. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment we might need, and we had a nice little screened patio. The heated pool was really nice, and the best (and most unexpected!) part was that they provided beach equipment - chairs, umbrellas, carts, even towels and sunscreen. I have never stayed at a beach hotel that provided that! read more

Spent a week at Haley's. It's a quaint '50s style motel. The rooms are a little small but clean and very well equipped. they offer gas bbq's and the kitchenettes are well supplied. Location is near the free trolly stops. They offer a heated pool and good selection of beach chairs and umbrellas to take to the beautiful beach a block away. The ironic thing about this small motel is there are a significant number of tourists from Germany there! Staff was courteous and efficient. Rooms exceptionally clean. Quick Summary: Clean, comfortable and very convenient location to the beach! What more could you ask for a weekend get away? We stayed here on our recent trip to Anna Maria Island, and were pleased to see how nice the motel was kept. The room was surprisingly spacious and contemporary with a huge king bed and even a mini kitchen set-up. I liked the tile floors, which helps keeps things cool and clean, especially being with all the sand being so close to the beach. They have a small pool available, but why chill there when the Gulf is less than a 2 min walk away!! There's also a grill available, if you're not wanting to dine out. If you're headed to the beach, they've got everything available to you, chairs, beach towls, even carts to drag all the kids' toys. Overall it was a great stay, we loved being able to walk to the beach quickly, I even went for a morning run... and coming from out of town it was nice that they had all the beach things ready, so we didn't have to pack it up with us! read more

With all the motel/hotels available on AnnaMaria island, we were very lucky to find Haley's Motel. Motel does not describe this tropical spot adequately! Along with the two pools, game room and some intimate sitting areas, you get the feeling you are at laid-back resort. Our sweet one queen bed room, was well appointed for our one night stay with a very short walk to the beautiful beach. We had the pleasure to speak at length to one of the owners. Haley's Motel is a gem that you may not think about. We stayed in the largest unit because it had a private pool and hottub. I really like this due to Covid. Check in was ready prior to 2:00 and the owner left the door unlocked with the keys on the table. We had a 2 bedroom with 2 very comfortable King size mattresses. There were 2 bathroom and a very modern kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses, flatware, and even BBQ Grill tools. The kitchen even had a dishwasher! The grill was right outside the front door. The back with the pool had a table and chairs along with lounge chairs. The pool and hot tub were clean and inviting. Even I did not see the owner he kept in touch with us with calls or texts to see if we needed anything. This was such a relaxing vacation. I have been to this resort now 3 times and it was always perfect. read more

Pool was clean & convenient for all guest rooms. Motel is ideally located to all that Anna Maria Island has to offer. Gulf of Mexico is about 300 feet from the motel room. I would choose this location for my next stay. The motel had all the beach umbrellas, chairs & carts you need for a long relaxing beach day, the room even had a broom to keep up w/ the sand on the floors & keep it out of your bed. It was quaint, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including microwave, fridge, frozen ice, great shower water pressure, wine opener, great coffee, toaster, and wine glasses! This is a quaint little place on the main drag. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool area was cute and appeared well equipped although it was a bit chilly for us to make use of it. Just spent 3 days at Haley's Motel and had a great time! Prior reviews are all correct. We had one original motel room (mine) and then my co-workers were in a few more modern rooms..a little larger. Very cute location, very clean. Nice pool area and a grill. 2 min to the beach, 15 min walk to good food (Sandbar for dinner, and Ginny and Jane E's for breakfast.) Got great seafood to take to the Motel from a nice couple located on Spring Street behind the Fish House, as well as from The Island Fresh Market----AWESOME SHRIMP AND KEY LIME PIE!!! Haley's was exactly what my wife and I needed. We booked it based on Yelp reviews. They were 100% accurate. The location was perfect. Just a ten min walk to a few quaint shops and restaurants. Another 10 minute walk to a dozen more quaint shops and restaurants. Just a 3 minute walk the beautiful beaches never having to cross a street. The free shuttle served us well if we wanted more stuff to do. But the motel was extremely clean, appointed, and organized. The folks who work there are accessible and friendly. They give you the space you need but are attentive should you need anything. The pools and spa were clean and comfortable. We just wanted to get out of the cold up north and warm-up and relax. We 100% recommend Haley's. PS- We stayed in unit 4 and loved it! It's only been a few days but we miss AMI and Haley's already. read more

Stayed here for three nights in November in 9A. Roomed with my husband and sis-in-law. The space was tight (as advertised!), we joked that it was a good thing we liked each other. But for us it was perfect. The kitchenette was well stocked, allowing us to make our breakfasts and pack lunches to save $$ for important stuff (like nightlife and shopping!) In addition to the expected appliances, our room had ice trays, coffee filters, salt/pepper shakers and a few sugar packets. We bought the rest of the food at the Publix on the island. The added amenities really made this experience top notch. These guys thought of everything: * Pool was small but very cute. Quiet the weekend we were there, we had it all to ourselves. Good lounge chairs. * Complementary beach amenities were abundant: towels, assorted chairs, umbrellas, a rolling cart to trek it all there, a few random toys/pails, beach mats, and who knows what else was in that pile! * Free bikes were THE BEST PART, but unfortunately only one was functional so we had to take turns. Allowed us to quickly move back and forth between spots on the island. * Close proximity to local gems: Piers on the north east side were a scenic walk away, we spent a solid two hours watching fishermen, dolphins and birds; located on the free trolly line; Ginny's and Jane E's Bakery Cafe and Island Coastal Store just up the road, a real treat! The staff was friendly and the price can't be beat! I would DEFINITELY stay here again. read more

Definitely a must! We stayed in unit 9 - Spacious kitchen and separate bedroom with a bath attached (bathroom is VERY small but it is advertised as such. Just and FYI, if you are the needy type of a person, don't stay here. the owners must be carefree and trusting. We arrived and our room assignment was taped to the door and our room was unlocked for us. We tried the next morning but the office was still closed. It was also closed when we left the next morning. My family made reservations at the Garden House in June 2019 for our cousin's wedding. The accommodations were so great that other guests who stayed in nearby hotels ended up visiting us and spending time in our wonderful kitchen, spacious family room and great surroundings with a gazebo, pool, and game room. We definitely look forward to returning to this great hotel. The owner, Tom, and the housekeeping staff, are superb!! We left behind our clothes steamer, and they mailed it to our home at no charge!! I lived on Anna Maria Island in the 80's and hadn't been back since so I decided to make a visit part of my yearly trip to Naples. Got into town at sunset, had a fab dinner at The SandBar (still a great place 30 years later), and made our way to Haley's (which had been recommended by our concierge at The Edgewater in Naples!) The office was closed but we called the after hours number and the owner answered and gave us a room for one night for $40 LESS than what was on the internet! We were pleased to see how nice the motel was kept. The room, closet and bathroom were small (not in a bad way, everything was VERY functional) and very clean and contemporary with a queen bed, hair dryer, tile floors and an air conditioner and ceiling fan that really work which helps keeps things cool and clean and even a mini kitchen set-up.They have a small pool just big enough for tight laps, a grill, beach chairs and towels, everything you need, even carts to drag it all to the pristine beach just 2 minutes from our room(#8). We liked it so much we decided to stay for 2 more nights and, get this, the owner gave us an even better deal! We rented bikes from Beach Bum's Bike Rentals (I totally recommend these folks. The rentals are inexpensive, they deliver and pick up the bikes at the end of your stay AND they throw in lights, helmets and baskets FOR FREE!) If you're looking for old Florida charm that's priced right for what it is and a real laid back, down home beach experience, this is the place! 6 stars, if that's possible! read more
