Well then I'll be making sure to save this one!!! SO we were VERY Un-comfortable in our first hotel. Which was grossly dirty. We were able (I still can't figure out how!!!) to find The Sea Jay Motel at Booking.com and jumped at the chance to leave the dump we were in. This was a HUGE upgrade since we were basically on a main road before with a crap pool and no view and now have a view, great pool (did I mention it's HEATED?!) and we can walk to the beach. I was of course nervous as the reason I'd selected the first hotel was location, and cleanliness. I could have been perfectly happy with the location had it been clean. But it was rated 8.8 for cleanliness. The Sea Jay was rated 9.4. And it IS very clean. Very clean, modern, cozy, cute and convenient to the beaches and walking distance to SO much. If I wasn't here with my kids I would basically be a drunk poolside all week. This place is so comfy and nice. When we got our reservation, it was just after 11am on Monday 2/13/23, and check in was 4pm. I called the number on the Booking.com listing, because I had some issues with the reservation getting the ages of my kids correct and I wanted to make sure that wasn't an issue. I got a super sweet lady on the phone who said it was no problem. I asked her if we got there prior to 4pm would it be okay to hang out by the pool until our room was ready? And she said OF COURSE!! That was all it took for my daughter to be thrilled. Not to mention the photos were SO cute. When we arrived, everything was picture perfect JUST like the website photos. Now that we have been there for 3 days and this is our fourth night; THAT said I only wish they had a toilet paper holder that was not so awkward. It's behind the toilet on the wall nearer the sink so it's REALLY awkward to get to. We took it off the roll and put it on the floor for us because that was MUCH easier for us and the kids. So far the staff has been super kind, responsive to ANYTHING we needed and our stay has been without incident. I do LOVE having the kitchen and the beach and the lovely pool. I couldn't be more glad that we moved.

The staff was friendly and it's obvious how much they care about the property because it is perfect and clean. The pool is heated and gorgeous. The bathroom in the room was a bit small, but the room itself was cozy. The beds are some of the best ones that I've slept in! So comfy. They could use a black out curtain in the small window near the fridge as the blinds don't do much for the direct sunlight coming in early in the morning. I've never stayed in a motel before but I definitely will be back to this one!

Our Usual place is closed due to the storm damage, so we booked here as they are one of the only places open with full Kitchenettes. Most of the Restaurants are still closed, Publix is open. CVS is open, Walgreens is open. Enough places to get essentials. Sir Hubbers & I drove around the whole hotel, the side streets surrounding this hotel are apocalyptic. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. The shower head is low. If you're taller than 5'5, good luck Drove about an hour from Tampa airport. Due to Covid, check in was contactless. They texted me when my room was ready. Your parking spot has your room number. There's not a lot of extra parking, but I don't think it's needed. The room: room3 was small. It had a very comfortable bed, two chairs, tv, microwave, toaster, mini fridge, coffee maker all in one room. Kind of like a typical hotel room. The bathroom was small. I did like that they had dimmer in the bathroom. They do offers toiletries: shampoo, bar soap. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The room had two doors. The back door opened up to a cute shared patio and the pools The pools: the one facing the street has a grill you can use. This is also where you can find beach chairs, ice chest, carts. Both pools have clean pool towels. The other pool has a hot tub, but we eventually figured out you have to turn it on for heat at least 10 mi prior to going in. The beach: nearby. Probably a 5 min walk down a dead end street. The beach was nice. Not too many people in that area. Of course, you won't find any service in that part. That's where the beach chairs that you can borrow come in handy. Extras: many restaurant nearby. You can walk to some. There's a trolley that passes by often that takes you to hot spots. The trolley is free.

I loved the location of this little motel. It's located less than a block from the gulf side and less than five minutes away from the bay side. Each apartment has its own parking number which was convenient. I don't know if it was the pendemic or the heat that kept people away but, it was quiet and nice just the way we like it. This little motel can teach big hotels one thing or two in how to accommodate/treat guests. The apartment was clean and neat, we will stay in this little place again if we have the opportunity. A little on the pricey side but worth it it's like the adage says location, location, location location.

Not only was that an easy process but the room ended up being ready early at 11 AM rather than at the latest possible time check normally is at 3 PM so that was a pleasant surprise. Getting in the room, I was taken aback by the space there and within the bathroom. The bathroom was huge and beautiful inside. The room itself seemed spotless and clean. There's even a nice coffee station with a selection of coffee pods and tea. The bed was incredibly comfy, so combining that with the blackout curtains led to a long restful sleep. This will definitely be my first choice to stay at next time I'm in the area!

I will say I want to knock off a star because I did request room service as well as a couple things for extra items in my room and it never arrived as well as a only getting one drink voucher instead of two when I booked a special that included two drinks during my stay, but the positives outweighed the negatives on this trip!!! The rooms are insanely clean and actually have a Nespresso machine in them! I will also say that the Nespresso machine was incredibly loud and I almost woke up my brother who is in the room with me for my stay. The room was very nicely lit and I loved how incredibly spacious the shower and bathroom was. The staff checking Us in was very attentive and quick with getting us squared away and even gave us some free water and they had free sparkling champagne on the counter as well! The bar on the roof was beautiful, the drink prices were very reasonable and the bartender that was working there was a very friendly even telling us to leave earlier than we were expecting so we can make it across the bridge without getting stuck in ridiculous traffic. Overall a phenomenal hotel, nicely lit and very clean and a nice amount of parking! Reasonable price for a Friday night as well! I will definitely be staying here again when I am in the area for a concert.

They must have been bargained with for a good review, lucky or clueless on what's underneath! Fix your motel and customer service. Quality control is unacceptable.

Dodt house at that time was comprised of 1 room accommodations with a private bathroom and some offered a heart shaped whirlpool. In keeping with the times, the owners have retired, and the HH complex has been renovated and reconfigured with the main house now being closed to the public and the Dodt house has been remodeled to accommodate larger groups (it is now a 6 bedroom and direct Gulf Front rental - from https://annamariaisland.com/harrington-house-accommodations). I have fabulous memories of this place! It's steps from the beach, and the room costs included a delicious, filling, homemade breakfast every morning (at that time in the spacious dining room of the main house), parking, kayaks, bicycles, beach chairs, towels, snacks/cookies, and at least one swimming pool. I was really impressed with all the amenities included in the room fee!!!! The proprietors and staff were so friendly and helpful embodying the motto "Come as a Guest, Leave as a Friend!" I smacked my finger while kayaking and it would not stop hurting and the staff were very helpful in getting us to a doctor, and of course, I broke my finger (totally my fault, Momma didn't name me Grace!) who x-rayed it, bandaged it up, and I was all set after that! Amelia island is a lovely, quiet, beautiful 7-mile island and so easy to bike and very bike friendly at that time! I really enjoyed biking the island, and ocean kayaking to a nearby restaurant - I think it was The Beach Bistro, or the Oyster Bar on the pier. It was so fun to "park" the kayaks and walk up to the beach front dining! A far cry from my landlocked hometown of Huntsville, AL. Holmes Beach/Amelia Island is my favorite FL destination and I'm happy, although reconfigured, Harrington House still offers a variety of vacation rentals.

If you are ever looking for a true relaxing getaway, Harrington House is your place. Each room is unique and cozy. Some rooms overlook the gulf and you can see the sunset from your room. Some rooms have a balcony. Or you can choose to stay in one of the bungalows. There you have a full kitchen, and a bit more privacy. No matter if you are in the main house, the carriage house, the cottage or a bungalow you will be treated like you are family. The breakfasts that are served are not to be missed. Each day is different, but there us always some sort of home made baked bread. Afternoons you can often enjoy home made chocolate chip cookies. Jo and Frank and their son Mark are the Inn's owners. Along with Ann, Megan and Jeanette, they all do all they can to make your visit the best that it can possibly be. The white sugary beach is just out side your door. There are rarely more than a dozen people at the beach at any one time. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Anna Maria Island is a true gem and Harrington house is the crown jewel. The rooms were like cottages below and above In some areas. The bottom rooms had a private courtyard. Also has a nice pool area. They give you pool towels and had a fun itinerary to meet and great my girlfriend and I had a very fun stay. We stayed here during the closing of my home and it was season but they had an easy checkin and checkout. I would recommend.

Our group of 4 went for a 1 night stay and ended up getting to the island early…read more We tried to get early check in but were told that they didn't do early check in because of rigorous cleaning for covid (totally fine, I understand that and appreciate cleanliness). After we got there we noticed there were only 3 pillows (one missing a pillow case) called for an extra. 6 hours later the pillow never came. We then went to pull out the pull out bed and there was what we could only describe as someone's human fluid on the sheets that were on the mattress. We called again and were told that it was to late (10pm) at that time for them to do anything about it. So not only did one of our guests not have a pillow, they had to sleep on soiled sheets as well. There is also a light right outside the door you are unable to turn off that shines into the window all night. I have tried to contact a local person to get this matter handled for OVER A WEEK and nothing has been done. Again, do not stay at this resort.
