Small town bakery with a good selection of cookies, donuts, bread and more. I tried some cookies to go with afternoon coffee. It's as takeout place with no seating. Decent enough.

Raspberry Crumble cookie and Walnetto cookie, $3.50 each.

IMHO On the day before the big Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, my friend and I managed to slowly drive down Main Street. Everyone it seemed was here to enjoy the town before the crowd converged on the weekend! Miraculously we found parking right in front of Half Moon Bay Bakery!!! I immediately perused the baked loaves and decided on the last Lemon Poppyseed loaf, $7. I also chose a Raspberry Crumble Cookie and a Walnetto Cookie, both $3. Both cookies were "good", but not great. I think they needed a little more butter or sugar for my taste. The Lemon Poppyseed is in the freezer, so I hope it doesn't disappoint. However, I'm sure I won't bypass this bakery the next time I visit.

I absolutely love this bakery!! My favorites are the sugar conchas, the tres leches cake, coconut macarons, and the butter sprinkle cookies. They're all absolutely amazing, and I extremely recommend the pumpkin tarts if you're going during pumpkin festival. The staff are always so sweet, and I loved the old-timey vibe.

My friends and I did a 20+ mile walk from the Sea (Redwood City) to the Bay (Half Moon Bay). When we arrived at Half Moon, I was very excited to check out this bakery as bakeries are one of my favorite things. Huge selection of so many goodies. Everything looked great. It was hard to choose and I ended up just looking and not buying anything as I didn't want to spoil dinner. It took great will power though. Casual. Parking on street and lots near downtown. Please come and create your own adventure.

Our favorite bakery to stop at in HMB. We had the pumpkin loaf and a sugar cookie. 10/10! Great service and love the vibe.

This is the local bakery and it's located in the heart of the Half Moon Bay. It is run by locals and I enjoyed interacting with them. They have selection of cakes and cookies. And everyone were going for cheese cakes, we got a turtle cheese cake it was yummy. It had caramel, pecan and cheese cake. The staff was super friendly and helped us pick the right cake. And the ambiance was so chill with people walking outside.

Can't believe this place has 4 stars, what a sham. The cannoli tasted like it was stuffed with whipped cream and imitation rum. The clerk was rude. I asked if she could split the cannoli in half and she said "there are knives out there," meaning plastic knives that don't cut through the rock hard cannoli And look at this cheese bread thingy where the cheese looks a couple days old And fiest your eyes on this sorry arse cinnamon roll that we suggested she use as a sample since it looks like it was fished out of the garbage can. But of course they left it in the case to sell This overpriced dive gets an "F" for fraud

The artichoke bread smells great freshly baked and looks amazing. But once I tasted it, it was just fine. It was plain bread with artichokes and seasonings dressed on top. Nothing to run home about, especially for the price.

I order a pie on Thursday or Friday for the weekend because they just don't have them laying around and this time it's an Apple Pie . Absolutely ridiculous Delicious! My Wife wrecked her dinner out by eating it to soon and was full on one slice.Better than my grandmother's recipe

Great coffee, even better pies!…read more Stumbled into Safe Bake House and I'm so glad I did. The coffee is excellent, smooth, well-pulled, and clearly made with care. But the real stars are the pies. Flaky crust, generous filling, and that homemade taste you just can't fake. There's a great little selection beyond the pies too, plenty of baked goods and treats to keep you coming back to try something new each visit. The unexpected bonus? They've got chess! Pulling up a board with a hot coffee and a pie is honestly the perfect way to spend an afternoon. It gives the place a cozy, lingering vibe where you actually want to stick around. Friendly spot, great quality, and a little something extra. Highly recommend!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Before heading to HMB, I researched what to…read moreeat around the area. This gem Sage Bakehouse popped up on Google maps. They sell Chicken Pot Pies! We love us some Chicken Pot Pies. After a long beach day at Montera State Beach. We decided to check them out. I'm so glad we did. I Decided to get 3 OG Chicken Pot Pie , 1 Habanero Chicken Pot Pie, 1 Minced Beef N Chedder Pot Pie and 1 Shepperds Pot Pie. If you buy 5 you get 1 free pie. They sell them frozen. It comes with clear instructions to bake at home. So far we've only tried to OG and Habanero. It what AMAZING! it was meaty and packed with flavor! The Habanero Chicken Pot Pie was SPICY which I love! I mean it's Habanero it's supposed to be spicy. Although the Pot Pies are on the small side. Still very delicious. They also sell other food items, coffee and other beverages. We just came here for the Pot Pies. Workers was friendly and helpful! When we got here I see people seating outside already enjoying their meals and drinks. Sage Bakehouse is located right on Pacific Highway 1. Nice big black bold sign with white letters you can't miss it! We will definitely be back!
