    Get two, they go quick!

Locally owned and baked, with a great mix of cookies, bars, brownies, and cupcakes. There's a dedicated gluten free section, and they serve warm cookies as well. The employees are great and offer great suggestions! We were recommended to try the peanut butter and jelly cookie. I don't even eat PB&J but these cookies are a delectable, crumbly peanut butter cookie with a light sugar crust, finished with extra peanut butter and a spoonful of jelly in the center. If they're in stock, they're a must try! The Twix cookie is also great- it's a shortbread base, caramel, and chocolate, and the lemon bars and pop tart bars are also worth grabbing. The gluten free chocolate chip cookie is impressive. Small, welcoming space that is well worth the stop.

Would come here weekly if I lived nearby! Loved their warm brown butter chocolate-chip cookie pies. Such a smooth, gooey, creamy brown butter inside with just the right amount of salt and sweetness. Served warm and heavenly to break apart. Also cookie pies are a genius idea! Can't wait to come back and try the cowboy and all their oatmeal varieties. 5 stars!!!!

Adorable pint size sweet shop, with all kinds of baked goods, e.g. cookies and cupcakes of different flavors, plus little curios. Before we went in, I thought they might have bins of candies that you select in cellophane bags and gets weighed. Not. It's just baked stuff, which if you like the sweet profile on your palate, are good. The prices are reasonable for freshly baked stuff and Parking can be tough.

I love having a cookie here as a treat when I'm in half moon bay. They have the best selection of warm cookies with amazing flavors like s'mores, Nutella and dark chocolate sea salt. The cookies are not gooey and soft like crumble cookies. They're a bit crunchier but tasty nonetheless. This local shop is right in the downtown and they sell cookie bags to go and other knick knacks.

One of the best cookies I have ever had. The store was full of fun sweet treats for Super Bowl and Valentine's Day. Small and intimate space. Service was friendly and welcoming. Will return when in the area.

I just went in here randomly and these sounded good. Got home. Tried them. so good! I ate them so slowly... made them last a few days. Got them to share with the kids but did not. I saved them for after their bedtime so I could enjoy their goodness in peace. I've been thinking of them every day... mainly because I saved this empty bag and I keep seeing it on my counter. I wish this place wasn't so far away. Service was meh... the lone person there didn't really acknowledge my existence but I don't care. I'm rating solely on the cookies. I'll make the 45 min drive again some day... just tried to look and see if it was possible a chain... but no such luck. I'm having second thoughts about posting this because what if next time it's sold out due to my rave review... make sure you leave one bag behind in case I show up!

A cute little bakery to get delicious baked goods! I learned it was called Fish Wife Sweets because the owner is the wife of a fisher who had always wanted to open a bakery store and her dreams came true with this bakery! Everything is made from scratch and I loved that you order get warm cookies. I got the dark chocolate and pistachio cookie and it was perfection on a colder cloudy day. Just enough gooey-ness from the chocolate and texture from pistachio was the perfect combination in every bite. It was also not too sweet which my preference. I would definitely order this cookie again or try another flavor when I come back, possibly in the fall for the pumpkin festival at HMB!

What started out as a cottage kitchen operation in 2015 has turned into a full-fledged brick-and-mortar in 2022. Fish Wife Sweets specializes in all the guilty pleasures of the sweet kind, including cakes, brownies, cookies, and cinnamon rolls, just to name a few. The Good: The cookies were why we decided to pay them a visit. They had some really intriguing flavors, but the sea salt brown butter chocolate chip cookies were calling my name. Carissa opted for the more exotic PB&J. Both were delicious, but the PB&J cookie was really outstanding, and I loved the unique concept. The Meh: *Parking in this "Downtown" section of HMB can be difficult, but as long as you're willing to walk a bit, you can usually score a spot. *Only open Thu - Sun The Ugly: *Pricing at $12/4 cookies was a bit rich, but since they were good, I'll (kinda) allow it. Conclusion: Great cookies and can't wait to come back and try some more goodies.

Great little sweet shop. We ran across this shop while spending a few days in HMB. We actually went back the next day and made another purchase. Needless to say, my family liked their sweets. lol They have a cookie warmer as well, with hot cookies available. I had to indulge and try one on our second trip. We ended up buying a bag. My kids really enjoyed their treats. I truly enjoyed the peach pie bar. I could only ate half as I was so full! Lol I brought the remainder home. I really could have bought even more things on day 3, but we already over indulged. Ha ha

Mmmmmmm warm cookies and milk?!?! Yes please!! Cute little sweets store on one end of Main Street in Half Moon Bay. You can get warm cookies, as well as a bunch of other baked goods like brownies, pie, cupcakes, cookies, etc.. also can preorder larger sizes! Cashier was informative and helpful and friendly. Quite yummy, happy with this new find!

Such a cute shop! There's so many varieties of cookies and other sweets I couldn't decide! But the warm cookies caught my eye. I got the s'mores one and it was so yummy! The peppermint brownies were also really good. I can't wait to come back and try other things! The worker here was also very nice and sweet.

The bakery case had so many tempting options, and the staff was prompt and friendly. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, which came out warm, flaky, and genuinely yummy. Simple, fresh, and exactly right after a long travel morning. Definitely worth stopping in if you are in Half Moon Bay and need coffee, pastries, or a quick breakfast bite.

This bakery is located on the very cute historic downtown Main Street of Half Moon Bay. While it…read morehas a great location, the food and beverages have been very hit or miss, and I've stopped in a very decent amount. The good: We have special ordered their fruit cheesecake at least 5+ times for birthdays, and it doesn't disappoint. The raspberry half moon cookies were a tender shortbread texture and yummy filling, and I would purchase again. The disappointing: The fruit tart, however, was almost no custard and instead just a thick layer of frangipane which detracted from the freshness of the dessert. The crust was bland--tasted like eating straight flour, no butteriness or anything. Italian sodas are all ice, then commercial syrups at a too sweet ratio. Peanut butter cookies and butter cookies lacked flavor but were okay. The terrible: Why I finally wrote a review: Moonside has a stack of chocolate chip cookies in one of their pastry cases. They look beautiful! Packed with chocolate chips, golden and glistening like the perfect chewy, slightly underbaked cookie. We bought two! And they were the WORST chocolate chip cookies I have ever encountered. I ended up spitting out my second bite and just throwing them away--not even dipping them in coffee or tea could salvage the experience. I don't know WHY they look shiny and doughy--maybe an egg wash, though why would you egg wash cookies????--but they are dry as a bone. Not crispy, not crunchy--horribly textured, DRY. There's no butteriness, no hint of salt, no carmelization from brown sugar, nothing to give this cookie flavor in the least except the chocolate. And the chocolate was horrible--bitter and waxy, dried out and cheap tasting. A chips ahoy cookie would have been better. I don't know if I'll ever buy another cookie here--this was rough.

You are allowed to order two items at a time during the 90 minute brunch portion. You then have 30 minutes for the dessert items, though the waiter did say we could order more brunch items during that time too. I maxed out during round 5. Round 1: The MARIN COUNTY CHEESE TASTING and the PAN SEARED SCALLOP. There were three types of cheese on the plate with some fig jam and some raisin bread. Everything was super tasty. Loved the fig jam. The scallop was very nicely cooked. Loved the truffle foam. It was supposedly polenta foam but it was very smooth and not grainy at all. Round 2: CAVATELLI and CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES. I think the pasta was my favorite meal of the day. It had a great truffle and parmesan flavor. Soft pasta. Yum. The pancakes were also delicious. Nice and fluffy with melted chocolate chips. I did hold the ricotta cream from it as I know I don't like it. Round 3: LOBSTER ROLL and WAGYU BEEF SLIDER. The lobster roll was tasty but messy. I don't like caviar so I had that held. The slider was very tasty. The sauce on it was a bit too BBQ-sauce flavor for me but overall not a bad bite. Round 4: I did the ORGANIC MAITAKE MUSHROOM and another scallop. The mushrooms were super flavorful. Loved the crispy rice puffs on them. Round 5: I just did on plate - the BELGIAN WAFFLES. I loved the waffles. Crispy outside, soft inside. Warm apples on top and a big dollop of whipped cream. Yum! Dessert: There were carrot cakes, coconut macaroons, strawberry shortcakes and a chocolate pistachio balls. I only add the carrot cake there and took the rest home for later. The staff was very good. Always taking away empty plates and refilling drinks and water. A splurge of a meal but worth it for good food and service.

At almost $200 pp, we went in wanting to make sure we could order as much as we could during the time limit of the unlimited brunch. However, we didn't have to worry - the service was so fast, that by the end we were well stuffed that the time restraint was moot. Each person can order 2 dishes at a time, and we had the chance to cover everything we wanted to try off the menu and order our favorites multiple times. Some highlights were definitely the scallop and lamb (even as non-lamb lover). The salad also surprisingly stood out, it was really great to eat this paired with the seafood/meats especially towards the end of the meal. I also really enjoyed trying the different caviars, and always love a solid wagyu slider. Only wished they had cornichons to pair with the slider, but appreciate that the staff tried to find pickles for us in the kitchen. The meal ended with a afternoon tea tower of pastries, which we were at that point way too stuffed to take in. The one pastry I tried though, was really delicious, not too sweet. All in all, 10/10 experience. The cherry on top was the complimentary champagne for our celebration! Truly a splendid experience.

The restaurant is aesthetically stunning, with an open kitchen where you can watch multiple chefs making pizzas, preparing desserts, and crafting dishes right in front of you, it really adds to the experience. We started with the tempura stuffed ricotta squash blossoms and the pea & fava dish. The pea & fava was incredibly flavorful, made with French feta, lemon zest, and mint, it was absolutely extraordinary and one of my favorite dishes of the night. Everyone raved about the pizzas, so we had to try one. We ordered the Spicy Rock Shrimp Pizza, entres included Moon Chicken Parmesan, and Ravioli. Their pizza crust is hand made and very thin and soft. Every dish was delicious, and there wasn't a single disappointment. Their drinks were great too. We had a reservation and were seated immediately with no wait. The only downside was the seating arrangement. Our table for five was quite long, making it feel less intimate and comfortable since we were seated far apart. The customer service was excellent throughout the evening, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant with amazing food, beautiful décor, and outstanding service. We'd definitely return for another special occasion!
