I went here on a date while we were looking at different bookstores on the east side. This is a cute place in a shopping center. I was immediately drawn to their tarot card section. It's one story of used books and a few new ones too. I ended up taking home some American Girl books missing from my collection and manga (Drama Con) from my childhood. The value is amazing here! My books came down to $20 for the whole bundle. Highly recommend this place if you need decent second hand finds. Service was very kind to show my the somewhat hidden children's section. Great place to visit!

Medium sized book store that also has video games, board games, post cards and other bookstore type items (tote bags, bookmarks, small shelf collectibles) Nice knowledgeable staff, knows where the books are, overall place is well organized. Contains new and used books at still a discounted rate. On top of that there is a clearance section with pretty good selection of popular books albeit in okay to good condition. You can spend hours here!!! Will come back soon.

I really wanted this puzzle. Might have to go back.

I've had a lifelong love/not-love relationship with Half Price Books. First off, before you visit, you sorta have to get over the fact that their books aren't actually half price. I mean, maybe they used to be, back in the beginning. But I get it: overhead, staffing, inflation, etc. It would be hard to run a business and charge half price for everything. Once I resigned myself to the fact HPB was going to cost me a bit more, I started liking them again. And this, their Crossroads store, is one of my favorites. It's HUGE (bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside) and they literally have everything. It's super well-organized too, and they have lots of new items too, in addition to used, so it's a great place for gift shopping for that hard-to-shop-for-person in your life (I'm looking at you, Dad). On my most recent visit I picked up some 2023 calendars for Christmas gifts, plus (of course) two solid modern quilting books for my own library. There was only one cashier running check-out, which was minorly annoying during this busy season, but I get it. I'll definitely be back. Most likely to buy that puzzle I was eyeing but couldn't bring myself to by because, seriously, when would I find time to do a puzzle?!

I really enjoyed visiting this used book store on my trip to Bellevue. I spent a couple of hours browsing all of the shelves. It's very well organized and if you were looking for something in particular I'm sure you could find it here! I asked the staff about a couple of books and they were able to help me find what I was looking for and even offered to have another store send me a book they didn't have in stock at the Bellevue location. The bookstore is attached to a shopping center so there is a lot to do in the area. I was able to take the bus with my Orca card very easily from the Bellevue transit center.

I love book stores in general, they are places of refuge, escape, fantasy, knowledge, fun, and analog. Half Price books is no different here and seems to have been here forever. Older style, bright, clean, and welcoming. They seem to have something for everyone and 90% of the time I'm at Crossroads I will hope in and take a look. That pretty much sums it up, love it! FYI, the Starbucks that was connected to it is gone and MOCHINUT is coming soon.

I love half price books in general, we've gone to quite a few locations in the surrounding area and this one was very surprising. The selection was quite vast, I love how each section seemed to be perfectly displayed for its audience (children's books were reachable, gaming and comics were neatly and appropriately organized, etc.) The employees were very helpful and so very nice as well!

Half Price Books is one of my favorite bookstores for cost effective book purchases. The Crossroads store is a location that always seems to have a great selection of books. Enter from the street side or the mall side. Sign up for emails and you get great coupons to their sales. Discount on top of half off is fantastic! Pro tip:. If you are selling, it's nearly pennies to the dollar. Just be aware so you are not disappointed.

They were EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNARKY. We were the only minority in the shop and they followed us the whole time making passive aggressive comments. Other customers (non-POC) were clearly looking around and they weren't constantly disrupted and being pressured to buy things. The funny part we were the only customer that bought something (maybe her harassment tactics work lol) since I thought the item was cute. When I opened my item I noticed that it was damaged. However, the employee there made us so uncomfortable that I'll count this as a loss with my defective item since I'm non-confrontational. Normally I wouldn't jump to conclusions about racial issues unless it feels HEAVILY targeted as such (nothing differentiate us from the other customers other than we were non-white, i.e our attire and mannerisms were no different than the other customers). Something was off about her and clearly whatever issues she internally had was projected on to us. Definitely won't be back, nor recommend. **Update** I went to google to post my review there also because my experience was that bad. But before I posted I saw other people's reviews and SHOCKER (not really) the majority of people that posted bad reviews on customer's experience and feeling very dismissed/mistreated were MINORITIES. Where there's smoke there's fire....... My spidey senses are picking up that it's probably the same employee and she clearly does not like ANY melanin...

We visited Book Tree half an hour before it closed on a Saturday, so when we walked in, there was a small group of people sitting around in a small group. The owner warmly greeted us and mentioned that they had a visiting author here, but if we had any questions or needed help, to let him know. A book shop that has author readings and lectures? LOVE THIS ALREADY. Book Tree is located on Market Street, up the hill from downtown Kirkland. There was even designated street parking just for this store. The space isn't the largest, so they're not going to have everything here. But there are so many treasures to be found! They have a first edition of many books that are affordably priced. Most of the books are used here, which I prefer. But if you're looking for a new book, they have a few of that. You mostly come here, scanning through the shelves, bending down and looking through all sections because some of the books will be misplaced and it's a little untidy. But honestly, I love book stores like this because the hunt for a good book makes it al the more appealing! And you never know what you'll find. I was able to find a book that's not as common and easily found at other stores of one my favorite authors. Score! Book Tree is a must visit for any book worm in Kirkland and beyond! The owner is super friendly and welcoming of dogs and the store has a good selection of books to browse through and take home! I'm so happy to have found this charming book store in Kirkland.
