I have lived along the Gulf Coast since 1977 in these are absolutely the best raw oysters I've ever had. We came in right before closing on a Monday night and the waitress Kimberly was so gracious. The food was very good an we enjoyed the live music. Everything was great until a local alcoholic came in and asked me to move my vehicle since he was in a no parking zone. Even though he and his highly intoxicated female partner had plenty of room to get out, they proceeded to cuss me and threatened to hit my Tahoe with his truck. I was thankful to the gentleman that worked behind the bar who come outside to check on me. I am still giving high marks on the food and service just watch out for this local idiot! We were a party of 8 for lunch. We were seated immediately and greeted right away by our very friendly server, Shellie. Blackened grouper was delicious, and the food came out so quickly I didn't think it was ours at first. My kids had the fried shrimp and fries. They ate it all! Discovered this hidden gem when we were on a boat ride. There is a huge outdoor waterfront deck to sit on and all the different kinds of fresh seafood you could ever want. Our server - Tiffany - was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back. read more

Stay away. Terrible service. We arrived 4:00PM and they were not busy at the time. We sat at the bar which was empty. We watched others come in and also sat at the bar. We watched everyone else order(we were at the middle of the bar). After everyone else was served, we had to track down someone and asked to orde. we watched everyone eat. Finally I had another server check about our order. the guy that took our order said he forgot to actually place it. in addition, the guy preparing oysters was doing it on the bar. I will start with the positive first! Our waiter was kind, the grouper (according to my family) was very fresh & yummy, & so was the fried okra & fried green tomatoes! However, unlike the fried green tomatoes, the fries came out old & cold. I ordered a grilled chicken po boy, I asked the waiter what came on it -- he told me onion, lettuce, tomato, & pickle. All it contained was dry, thin chicken, lettuce & a sub roll. It was also cold & I had to ask for sauce. My grandmother received the wrong side that she ordered. There was a delay in the refill of drinks. The waiter took off my grandmother's wine & did eventually bring out fresh fries for my mom. Another positive note, the band was great & so was the peach tree tea. Not quite sure if I'll be back to eat. The view, music, & drinks are the reason to visit. read more

Ambiance was great, but the food was mediocre. Crab claws were highly overpriced for how skimpy they were- don't order them!! I've never seen crab claws that tiny with barely any meat on them. Our first visit here and we were directed to this restaurant by a local. The hostess was shy, but nice, and we ate outside. The outside seating area is nice, but a bit short on shade. You are right on the water and we were able to see many pelicans and other birds from our table. The outside bar area is fun and open with the bartenders both being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had our small dog, a morkie, with us and the staff was very warm and welcoming with him. I would definitely classify this as a pupper friendly restaurant, which makes me very happy!! We ordered two dozen oysters, (one dozen Rockefeller style and half a dozen each of two other styles). Both of the half dozen were over-cooked, but still pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the special, a tuna burger and it was delicious. The dozen Rockefeller style oysters were absolutely perfectly done and heavenly! Overall, we spent about two hours relaxing by the water, drinking, eating, and chatting. Our server was a little slow, but we did notice her tables were rather spread out and she was more than nice enough to make up for it. I give credit where due and in past years have had this restaurant and it was good. However, our family went to this restaurant Wednesday and it was the worst experience. Unbeknownst to us, it was trivia night and the restaurant was busy, but when we walked in, we were immediately sat in the back room next to the patio. We sat there for almost 30 minutes and not a single staff member had approached our table. We finally went to ask if someone would be taking care of us and the waitress we asked started discussing with another waitress and said "I guess I'll just take them." We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. While waiting for our food, my meal came out to the table by another waitress who never thought to investigate where the rest of the table's food was. I ate my entire meal and the rest of the table still did not receive theirs for another 30 minutes. The music and trivia host were so loud coming through the speakers inside that we could not talk to each other. We watched multiple tables come and go before we had even received our food and the staff who brought the food out were extremely rude and didn't seem to know what was going on. I watched the hostess stay on her phone and take FaceTime calls while the rest of the staff were running around. The front of the restaurant needs cleaning as well. It's clear that the management needs to work to fix some significant issues like communication among the hostesses to the waitresses and the waitresses to the kitchen staff. Although the food was ok, the service was enough for us to not want to visit again or recommend to anyone who doesn't want to waste 3 hours of their lives. And for the love, someone please give the hostess a wet cloth and show her how to do something! read more

I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I get it, the pandemic has been hard, restaurants are struggling to find staff etc. But if you open your doors, you advertise, you call yourself a restaurant, you should be capable of feeding people some food. My wife and I left after two hours with nothing but apologies. No food. Went home and ate leftovers. So obviously I can't review the food. Never had a bite. The beer was ok. Mind you, this place isn't some elegant purveyor of thoughtful slow food. This is a typical southern seafood bar/ restaurant with hard metal seats, sticky plastic tables and cement floors. The kind of place you hope to have a simple, pleasant dinner and a couple of beers. I felt so sorry for the servers. I heard multiple servers having to constantly apologize all night. I also felt sorry when I realized that they had no training. When we finally decided to give up and leave, I asked several what my beers cost, so I could just leave some cash and get out of there. None of them knew. We paid for our beers and left a nice tip. Close until you are ready to actually function as a real restaurant. PS we arrived at 6:10 on a Wednesday night on a non holiday week. No extenuating circumstances. read more
