I am ABSURDLY picky (there's no way Dr Chung doesn't hate me but you'd never know it with how nice he is 100% of the time) when it comes to my cosmetic bonding. I had braces for 5 years as a child, I spent 9 months on the road with a touring show and had them longer than most which led to decalcification on my teeth. Unfortunately that meant cosmetic bonding or veneers. I had cosmetic bonding for 5 years and had Dr. Chung update it. He spent so much time on me, even when I was a pain in the butt and kept coming back in for adjustments. He wanted me to feel comfortable with the work done, especially knowing I'm an actor and my smile is insanely important to my commercial work. Not only is Dr. Chung great, but the entire staff is lovely. Front desk, dental assistants, everyone. My insurance is no longer covered at this office and it's a huge bummer, it's going to be hard to trust anyone else with my craziness. Everyone at the office was so nice and Dr. Julie was extremely patient and thorough in her examination; she suggested sealants on my 7 year old's molars to protect them from cavities (both boys have no cavities - hooray!). No other dentist had ever done anything beyond a cleaning and a perfunctory exam/x-ray, and of course I would like to keep them cavity free for as long as possible. Both of my boys actually enjoyed their visits and sat through it patiently, which is no small feat for a five year old and 7 year old. This facility is FULL of BRIGHT, SUPER friendly staff from the receptionist and nurses to the Dentists! Every single staff member showed off their beautiful smiles and instantly made our daughter feel comfortable during her first ever visit to a dentist. Dr Yoomi Heo and her assistants were fantastic with making Kayla feel comfortable and excited about her visit to the dentist office. Kayla had a general check-up, x-rays taken and plaque removed today and the way the staff at 'Lots of Sunshine Dentistry' introduced her to the tools and procedures instantly made her feel secure about the visit and actually made her enjoy it so much she wanted to come back again tomorrow. When Kayla first sat down in the chair, the dentist explained how everything worked and gave Kayla a small prize for doing so well with having her x-rays taken. After the entire procedure the dentist rewarded her again for a job well done by giving her a token to their toy capsule vending machine!
