Most of the communication and service came through Hallmark (Stacey), a real pro. The laser measurements and how they translate to the actual cut of the stone were spot-on and accurate. There was only one seam at a 90-degree corner and it's meshed so perfectly, you can't tell it's there! We ended up not purchasing the backsplash only because our walls were a little out of plumb and will probably just put in a tile backsplash ourselves next week... Still, the oversized 9' kitchen island, 24' of counter space, and a 4' beverage bar area ALL were covered with this beautiful Carrera Bianco. After measuring the actual sink we were going to use, the cutout was the wrong size, and no overhang was left to hang the over mount sink. They placed the sink in the cutout and left at installation, hiding this very obvious flaw. When trying to mount the sink, it was impossible - wasting the plumber's time and our time. It took them another week to come out and fix the issue- leaving us without a sink for that time. We will not be using this company again and would not recommend. Service is very poor. They put in wrong kitchen backsplash and refuse to fix it despite proof that they made a serious error.

I like the stone i chose for my countertops, that's about the only positive thing I have to say about working with this company. I bought quartz countertops through Home Depot for my house I'm preparing to sell, not knowing who they would contract through. Lisa was our point of contact and communication was ok? It felt like we were always following up with her to find out next steps and that we were an afterthought. Hallmark initially took the measurements over the phone, then came to our house to measure/template. Once the countertops were ready for install, we were out of town. Lisa said they could install without us home if we gave them access to the house. Big mistake. While they were here, they removed our new faucet and all of the drain plug accessories and apparently threw it away. Then we got a text message that the cabinets aren't level, they missed that during measurements, and they could not install. We had to have our general contractor stop work to address this, in the meantime the stone installers left a slab in my dining room, limiting wall access for my painting contractor putting multiple jobs behind schedule. They returned to install the countertops, at which point we noticed the missing faucet. When we asked, the only response we got was "if you don't tell us you want to keep it we automatically throw it away." So, there's another $200 we had to spend to buy a replacement. The management at Hallmark could not have cared less about this. They had to return a 4th time to install the backsplash. The overall work is ok, the edges on one side don't line up or match where the previous countertops were, there's a sizable gap next to the stove that doesn't have any seal behind it, they left a big mess in my cabinets, and they left all of my kitchen drawers on the floor. I'm preparing a kitchen remodel on my new house and I will be staying as far away from this company as possible. read more

Picked a remnant from Hallmark weeks ago and were looking forward to installation. Installers arrived and spent over a half an hour in the truck after bringing in supplies and adhesive for countertop. The installer finally came in and said he wanted to show me a tiny chip on the quartz, he noticed inside of the truck. He told me that he tried to fix it, but that he was unable and would send it back to the fabricator to fix right away and we would get a green slip to fast track the process. At the time, I noticed that the edging was not cut as contracted and mentioned it. He said this would all be sorted at the office. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We expected to hear from Hallmark Stone, some sort of customer service reach such as a phone call, message, etc. We did not hear from them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next morning, my husband sent a text to Lisa, the employee organizing our order. She said there was going to be a meeting in which they discussed our project.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Several hours later we received a text that they were not able to repair the island without causing further issues. They did not have another remnant in our color and we would need to come start the process all over and pick out a new one. And said to do a search on their website. We are trying to figure out how this piece ever made it out of fabrication without a phone call telling us it had a chip and scratches all over it. We are trying to figure out how on a large dark truck they saw a tiny chip on it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole thing is very confusing, and very frustrating and we are just looking for a resolution![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So basically, they sold us a remnant that they found out has a chip/scrapes on it while in their possession...that never should have been sold. Here are our only options...they install the damaged piece until they find another piece that will work (we are matching an island to the rest of the kitchen). Hallmark stone was the contractor used by Home Depot for the countertop I ordered. The purchasing process was quite easy and the company called me a few days after I completed my order. The lady I dealt with initially was Annette. She called me to setup an initial measurements, I missed it because I was at work, called her back and texted a few times and she didn't call back until about 5 hours later. I had a very hard time hearing her over the phone but after some struggles, she was able to set-up an appointment for measurements. The measurement took about two hours but apparently the guy was helpful and explained everything including some changes to the measurements and the sink to my husband. I was at work so he took care of that for me. I did inform them that my husband will need to sign for the changes even though the order was only under my name. Less than a week later, Stacy called me to go over the changes, finalize the counter top selection, materials, and get any outstanding balances paid. She had difficulties with the Home Depot website so she ended up hanging up to get everything sorted and called me back with a much quicker run down of the order, the changes, and gather payment information. Overall, that conversation was quite pleasant. At the end of the conversation we set-up an installation date. The installation went smoothly, the guys came in and got everything done in about an hour or so and we love our new quartz countertops and new undermount sink! Two days later, they were scheduled to return to install the backsplash. However, the schedule was changed without my knowledge. The only reason I even found out was because I got a confirmation phone call from someone in the company to make sure someone is home when they send their installers. I was very confused and worried since the plumbers were supposed to come around the same time and I was told they will not hook up my plumbing until everything is done. When I called the person I thought was my new contact (Stacy), she informed me that she did not know anything about my project as she was only taking over for Annette while she was on vacation. I could not get ahold of Annette so I basically waited a day for any call back and did not get one until around 4:30pm to confirm the schedule change and to notify me that they had contacted the plumbing company about the change. Great! When everything was completed for my counters, the plumber came but he was rude and stated he would not do the work and that it would cost us a couple thousand more to get some changes they want done and drill holes in places. Since Hallmark Stone subcontracted the plumber, I contacted them to let them know that the work was not done and because he was rude, I decided we would find someone on our own rather than support a business who sends some disrespectful person out to their clients. The lady who answered my call took down my information, said she will follow up with the plumbing company to make sure my claims of not having the work done were correct, and then call me back with information about my refund for services not rendered. More than 48 hours have passed and this all happened during the week day so I did ensure to give them over 2 full business days to address my issue but no one called me back. Frustrated and annoyed, I called Home Depot and asked for a refund for services not rendered. They remedied my situation immediately and said they have had complaints about the same plumbing company by other clients. In less than 24 hours, they processed my refund and no one ever did call me back from Hallmark Stone. I guess they thought I was trying to scam them? Who knows but I was slightly disappointed with their customer service and their lack of follow-up on issues. I do truly love my new countertops and I'm happy with the actual installation service and material quality but their customer service could definitely be improved. read more

Ordered through Home Depot. Didn't know which company was installing countertops. When they Came out to install countertops and 2 smaller caps for half walls in a bathroom this was all new construction no removal of old tops. The color of countertop was completely different than what I chose but the 2 caps were correct. Sent someone out to verify that colors didn't match. They remade the countertop and damaged the new walls during removal or install and installed the new one very un-level. Contacted company because this top didn't match the other two so they removed one of the caps to take back to match and damaged the other wall. Came out a fourth time with a replacement top for one of the half walls to match the countertop but not the other which still didn't match. Repaired the un-level top this time and Removed smaller top to take back to shop to remake the longer cap. Came back to reinstall for the fifth additional time and this time damaged the other wall for the shower; all 3 walls touching the tops are now damaged and need repairs to the new drywall At least they all finally match. It only took 5 additional half days off for them to get it right. I could have had them repair the walls but that would have been additional days off. I was running out of vacation time just to get the tops correct. This was a Small job and they couldn't get it right. Glad it wasn't a whole kitchen. Will find someone else for that remodel for sure read more

I purchased my white quartz counters through Hoods, who uses Hallmark to do the installation. The process was so easy and Kelly from Hallmark took care of me through every step. There is quite a range to choose from and I ended up going with a cheaper white quartz but it's absolutely beautiful! The installers were very professional and courteous. One note about quartz- I do not recommend white quartz if you want a low maintenance countertop. I have to constantly clean and polish to make sure it doesn't stain or have any marks. There were scratches from the tool that cuts the quartz which is normal but they were able to come out and buff them for me! I appreciated the attention to detail and care they put into making me happy with my counters. Overall I'm pleased and ok with maintaining my counters... I recommend hallmark! read more

DO NOT use this company! Buyer beware! Our kitchen sink was installed by Hallmark Stone less than 2 years ago and it just completely dropped out and fell in the cabinet below (see pictures). Hallmark Stone employees were incredible rude and could "care less" that they installed our sink incorrectly. The only way that they would help us was if we paid them (which is very interesting because they installed the sink incorrectly in the first place). Ben was the person that we were dealing with. We showed Ben that there were 4 brackets sitting in the corner under the sink that were never used in the sink install. Ben BLAMED US for not noticing that the brackets were not used to install the sink. Can you imagine standing at your kitchen sink in your newly remodeled kitchen and it just falls out!? I used Hallmark Stone for my new kitchen countertops and bar top, and I am incredibly dissatisfied. I have been a union construction worker for 20+ years and have remodeled multiple homes and I have never seen such terrible work. I will be going through my frustrations in order: 1. It all started when I wanted a remnant piece of Silestone, they wouldn't trust my measurements even if I agreed to sign off on them. Then, on the day of delivery, they called me 5 minutes before they were supposed to arrive to tell me that my countertop was on a truck and it's in Kansas City. Which meant I had to stay home another day to wait for the delivery and installation. 2. When I contacted Hallmark Stone to install the remaining countertops, they didn't know anything about it. So, I had to send their original quotes back to them since they couldn't find the paperwork that they sent to me. They seemed to forget about it a very short matter of time. 3. On the last day of installation, they arrived two hours earlier than the timeframe given and installed my countertops. To my unfortunate surprise I notice three major issues: (a) There were two different types of corners, (b) The faucet and garbage disposal holes are too close to the sink, so the bolts rub on the underside of the sink, and (c)Instead of using the sink mount clips that came with the new sink, they used wood shims and drywall screws in the sides of my new cabinets so I have screw holes in my new cabinet when there was plenty of space for the sink mounts 4. Their customer service and response times are less than par. After complaining about all of these items they did replace the countertop with the correct one, and they removed all the shims and used the sink mount clips; but I'm still left with a dozen holes in my brand new cabinets. When the guys came out to fix it, they even commented on how terrible of a job the original installers did. Fred the owner had a bunch lame excuses when I spoke to him: 1. The mix-up of my first countertop being sent to Kansas City instead of St. Louis was because I was a not a general contractor and a home owner (then don't sell to a home owner) 2. The loss of office paper work on the remaining counter was the same excuse I wasn't a general contractor (then don't sell to a home owner) 3. The different corners excuse was two different people made the templates ( that's not my problem either) 4. The holes too close to the sink for the faucet and garbage dispenser button, he claimed that's normal to have the nut rub 5. He had no reason for why they didn't use the sink clips even though the had the holes drilled for it, instead just drilled wood and drywall screws in my brand-new sink base cabinet When I pay for a service, I expect it to be done with the upmost professionalism... this was awful. read more

I have to say that when purchasing the countertops and having them installed the service was great and timely. Now that I am having some problems with their install of an undermount sink where the brackets have fallen out I'm getting pushed around by Kathy and told I am out of warranty, they are shorthanded and she will "send an email" to someone. I asked if she could just call the person and she said she would only send an email. When I was spending a lot of money with them they were quick to serve......I would question heavily how they would respond to a potentially faulty install concern. This is my second review of Hallmark Stone. I was pressured into leaving my first review before the installers were done. Years ago, I had a kitchen counter from Hallmark. It was a great experience start to finish. Not so much this time around. Our customer service rep, Tori, was difficult to communicate with from the beginning. The only way we could get answers or help was to talk to the supervisor and manager. And our first installers, Ricky and Nick, were rushed and did a poor job. Several things were wrong, including them using a different stone from the one we picked out, to measuring incorrectly, to poor installation the first time. It was a headache for about a week to get all of the problems worked out. Finally, we were able to get everything resolved. The second counter was installed today, and it looks good! I am not shocked to read these reviews. I only wish I would have read them before Lowes had them install the bar top in my business. I went to Lowes to purchase cabinets for the back bar and under counter area of the bar in my business. I had the bar walls built by a local contractor which to my dissatisfaction were about a medium grade of construction but satisfactory, The tile job they did on the bar was even worse. Suffice it to say I already was off to a bad start with the bar at this location. Then along comes Hallmark to install quartz on cabinet tops and counter top. This is my 4th location I have built from the ground up with sealed architectural drawings the whole 9 yards. I AM VERY FAMILIAR WITH BUILDING BARS AND INSTALLING COUNTER TOPS. I owned my own construction company in Houston Texas for 8 years in the 80's. Before Hallmark came for the installation I hired a contractor to come and level the cabinets and stabilize and level the bar top making it ready for the quartz installation. They spent 3 hours laser leveling all the surfaces. When Jake and his crew arrived to install Jake had decided that because my contractor used shims the bar top was not stabile enough for the quartz counter top..... well, for those of you that don't know what shims are here is a brief tutorial from an online granite remodeling company (one of dozens of articles to pick from). Shims are made out of wood most commonly, also metal, rubber, plastic, in all shapes and sizes. "Shimming is a common method used to level granite (or quartz/stone) countertops." "Firstly, it is important to understand the purpose of shimming when installing granite counter tops. Shimming involves using thin, tapered pieces of material to level the countertops and create a smooth and even surface." So, to say they are important in the leveling process of the bar surface is an understatement. They are fundamental and you could not level the bar top without them! So, Jake proceeded to tear the entire leveled bar top off. Then take pictures for his company of the underlying area allowing them to believe that this was the state he found the bar when he arrived. What's worse he had just got off the phone after talking to me where I instructed him not to tear off wood on bar but to leave it and that I would get with my contractor and then get back with him later. I could not imagine what was so wrong with the bar since I had last seen it. Jake was confusing and difficult to understand how he was going on and on about shims and floating on air. So, I said leave it and I'll get back with you. But, Jake got right off the phone from me and tore off all the work my contractors had done! No matter how Incompetent, unknowledgeable, unprofessional with a total lack of experience a person that Jake was, Hallmark defended his behavior and then, of course, developed their own more palatable narrative and then shared that total crock of fabrications with Renee, the cabinet lady, at Lowes. Of course, she swallowed it hook line and sinker!! Lisa, from Hallmark, included the misleading photographs and some nonsense about only perfectly cut wood wedges that were shaved or somehow planed to the exact width and depth could be used to level the bar top!! Sounds like a shim to me! I don't think they know how ridiculous they sound. I could have included Jake the installers idea for using the brackets in a totally unconventional way to level the bar top but that would be a whole other page, but, know this, that is when I realized the depth of inexperience I was dealing with. I told Lisa I wanted reimbursed for the 3 hours of labor that my contractor spent with a laser leveling and stabilizing the bar. She said she would give my request with pictures to her supervisor, Ben, that showed what the bar looked like before Jake tore the plywood off. I was told in a haughty tone that they only give consideration to these requests after the entire installation is finished. Hmm I wondered why that is. I told them then I wanted to know now if I was getting reimbursed and if they did not reimburse me for what their installer did to go on and just drop my quartz counter off and 3 more brackets and I would get somebody else to install counter tops plus I wanted refunded their installation fees that had been included with the cost of the quartz. Ben not only refused to reimburse me but refused Lowes Store Manager Katie as well. Matter a fact he would not even speak to Katie when she called Hallmark. What an unprofessional jerk! He's a contractor having all that business thrown his way by Lowes and he's so arrogant as to not take her call. She carried on a conversation with him back and forth through Lisa. In the end Lowes picked up the$300.00 tab for my contractors fees. Lowes and Home Depot need to get a different stone installer. Too many bad reviews. We bought Quartz countertops thru Lowes. They subcontracted to Hallmark Stone. The measure went good. We did the tear out ourselves. On the day of install, my appointment was 8-12, but the install team didn't arrive until 1 pm. Chris & Joe came in with a rep from St. Louis who talked the entire install. We felt like 'Wow, that's good service', but later I thought maybe he was there to distract us. Chris had trouble getting the seam vacuum suction to attach & at 1st said the process took 40 minutes, but later said 15. Once the vacuum was on, both installers went outside for 30 minutes. At 4 pm I calculated everything that still needed to be done, which included caulking, shaving the countertop where the stove went if needed, cleaning off the countertops, etc. would take until 6 pm. Suddenly they came back in, worked very fast and were gone by 4:50 pm. We were told to wait 24 hours to reinstall the sink plumbing. We discovered we couldn't install the sink because Chris broke the drainage pipe at the wall by sitting the sink (Quartz) on it! Chris told my husband at the time but we thought it could be easily fixed so told Chris not to worry about it. Turns out the manifold was broken at the wall & we'd have to tear out the wall to fix it. Also, 1 end of the countertop was 1/2 inch from the wall & the gap was filled with caulk. The same end was floating on shims 1/4 inch above the cabinet & a large gap could be seen under the countertop. It was supported by shims & 2 small blocks glued to the bottom & the countertop. We noticed this during install & were told it's normal & we can add cord-around to cover the gap. We were also told this was to level the countertop because the middle was too high. AND the stove space was very tight because they hadn't shaved anything off the edge to make it fit better. I contacted Hallmark Stone & Lowes to make a claim. Both companies agreed Hallmark Stone was responsible. Hallmark Stone told me get the repair done then send the receipt to be reimbursed. I also received an email from 'Ashley' at Installation Made Easy (whoever that is) asking us to submit all photos. After complying I got an email saying my photos had been sent to the provider. I asked who the provider was but never received a response. Hallmark Stone sent a 2nd crew out to make the repairs to the countertop because we didn't want the same team. It was 1 week after the install so I will say they are fast. The 2nd team was supposed to come between 11-4 so at 8 am I has 45 minutes away when they called to say they were 51 minutes out. I had to race home to be there which was super annoying. The 2nd team determined the 1st team rushed through the install. A top coat wasn't done on the seams (I would have never known!) and if the end was against the wall, they would have had to do more work on the other end to make the countertop fit correctly. They also said the trouble getting the vacuum to attach during install was because the countertop wasn't level. I was told they couldn't do anything to push the countertop against the wall without breaking the countertop and it would have to be refabricated and reinstalled. I said I'm not living with this so do whatever needs to be done to fix it. We decided they would contact the expeditor so one of them went outside (can't remember their names) and after awhile came back in and said he was told to try to fix it. The other installer started complaining loudly, I am NOT doing that! They will have to send another team! I am NOT, no way! The other installer rubbed his head a few times, then got to work. After pushing the countertop in a bit I was asked if it was close enough. I said no & was told there was too much caulking pushing it back from the wall. I tried to remove more caulking myself, cutting myself in the process. I finally agreed they could use some 'kimmy' to glue it to the wall to counter the caulk pushing it away from the wall. Funny, nothing was broken this time so either they were very good or lied to deter additional work needed. Other fixes were gluing more blocks and shims under the 'floating' countertop, then putting a tan colored caulking were the gap is under the countertop. They also shave some off the countertop to make the stove fit better. The same day I had plumber come to fix the pipe, cutting a large hole in the wall in the process. The plumber told me he doesn't repair walls so we asked him to fix the pipes to enable us to attach the remaining pipe to the wall after we repair the wall ourselves. Now, after submitting my receipts for $232.64 I also asked to be reimbursed for my husbands time repairing the pipes & wall. They argued with me and said the contract stated damaged could be caused during demolition! I argued WE did the demolition and had to remind the expeditor of our claim!!! Now I've been waiting 2 weeks with no refund. Calls to Lowes & their install support # have gone no where!!! Buyer beware!! read more

I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing from Hallmark Stone. We purchased our granite through Floor and Decor in Kansas City and apparently the contract with Hallmark to fulfill orders. The entire process was a train wreck! We would take off work to be home for the install and no one would call or show up. The person that came out and measured spoke with us about the project and didn't indicate that we needed to do anything prior to the granite arriving. When they did come the first time with the slab the installer indicated that we were supposed to cut out a piece of trim prior to the install per the notes from the measure. Over all very disappointed with the project. The the manager that I had been communicating with all along who indicated I would receive a partial refund due to the issues all of a sudden no longer works there. HUMM? Honestly would not even give 1 star but had to mark something to post. read more

We are having our kitchen remodeled and ordered and payed for everything through Lowes in FEBRUARY. The order was put through to Hallmark Stone almost immediately as they kept calling us to have it measured. It is now June, we had the counters measured over 2 weeks ago. After all this time, and already paying for it, they tell us today that the countertop we ordered has been discontinued. Beware - if you have any delays with your installation, this company does not order your stone or check to make sure it is still available until you are ready to install it. We were informed very nonchalantly with no apology, like it is no big deal to change one of the biggest parts of our remodel. The part that our entire kitchen was designed around. read more

We ordered new quartz countertops from IKEA and they are subcontracted through Hallmark Stone. We worked with Soha Finocchiaro throughout the process and she was fantastic. She kept us informed of changes and we are extremely happy with the end result. The installers were efficient and personable, this is a great company to work with and we highly recommend them. read more

We used Hallmark Stone through Lowes. We had our kitchen remodeled completely. The construction was from September 2018 to November 2018. They had a detailed schedule that was right on point with a few excepts that were no fault of their's. The workmen that came out for each phase were awesome. They explained everything along the way in detail so that we knew what was happening. We added additional jobs along the way and they were done quickly and professionally. I called them today to have them quote additional jobs to do in a few months. read more

Do not use. We purchased Granite countertops through Lowes. 3 months after install, granite seams falling apart. Called them, had guys came and fixed it. 4 months later, it is doing the same thing, seams falling apart. Guys came again to fixed it. Now 2 years later, seams are falling apart again! now they want me to pay to have it repaired because it is outside the one year install warranty? now why would i pay you, if you could not even install it right in the first place, let alone pay you to fixed it?Paid so much money for install and its not worth it. Purchased countertop through home improvement store and these clowns are their installers. Scheduled measure for counter top, advised of the exact type of sink going in. They told me not to install as they will take with them. Measure guy showed up and said sink has to be installed. He was very matter of fact and unapologetic. I just fired them and with a local Mom and Pop place. If my project is going to be delayed, it is going to be because I fired them. read more

These guys were the low bidders on the granite fabrication and installation associated with a full bathroom remodel. They suck and I cannot recommend anyone consider doing business with them in the future. If I had any idea they would have performed so poorly as a subcontractor I would have eliminated them from consideration. I'm not sure how we will figure out the rest of the remodel but I am throwing them off our job tomorrow morning. First problem - they submitted an initial CAD cutting diagram for approval. They were told we were trying to work around an area of the slab which they had included and we wanted to wait until the rest of the job was templated to see if everything would fit and without using the area we didn't like. They came back out to measure the rest of the job and then sent us a CAD with the original pieces in the same exact place. I'm not sure if this should be attributed to laziness, stupidity lack of attention to detail or ineptitude but I'm certain one or more of those apply. Second problem - they installed a couple of pieces with such tall globs of adhesive that it would have taken grout joints about an inch tall to close up the gaps. Who wants that in a professionally-remodeled bathroom?!? Third problem - they destroyed the stone described above trying to remove/replace it...putting us right back in the position of waiting for them to produce a CAD for approval and fabricate. Fourth problem - they took their sweet time getting the replacement pieces fabricated and installed. As a result, our job sat dormant for a couple of weeks and completely destroyed our projected completion date as a result. Fifth through Seventh problems - they took so long to complete this job that I started to really scrutinize their work. I found that they decided to divide a piece into two pieces from two different areas of the slab even though it was a single piece on the CAD we approved. I found that they cut one piece of backsplash 1/2" too short and tried to cover up the error with silicone caulk. I discovered they installed a piece that is cracked. I discovered they got the inside miter angles wrong and decided to hold one end out from the wall by more than 1/4" to close the gap. These jokers caused not less than 3 weeks of delays in completing an 8-week project. The general contractor has been fantastic but they do own some of the blame for selecting such a lousy subcontractor. Hallmark's communication was lousy, their customer service was lousy and their craftsmanship was amateurish at best. read more

Hallmark Stone installed our countertops as a contractor to Lowes. The installation was exceptional and we are very pleased with it. However, there was some damage done to our refrigerator. I contacted Hallmark and was told that it wasn't possible that they had done the damage. I was upset that they dismissed my complaint out of hand. They asked me for photos, which I sent. They promised that they would get the problem resolved. It has been more than a month since I contacted them about this, but they still have done nothing. No return phone calls, no emails. Nada, zip, nil. Ignoring a problem and hoping it will go away is not a proper business strategy. If you don't care about your customer after you get your money, you have failed as a business. read more
