When swapping out the jewelry the dude who does the piercings was extremely rough getting the new hoops in and caused my ears to bleed again and blamed it on me saying mine were not healed. If they were not healed then why even let me swap them out? Or he knew he f*** up. This was about 2-3 weeks ago and I have been cleaning them excessively everyday ever since and they still bleed and hurt. First time going here. When I walked in the place was very clean and the person in the front greeted us right away. Answered every single question and also provided us with different options. When I finished filling up the forms they give you she then made sure I understood the aftercare instructions and explained step by step on how they first sanitize the jewelry before they proceed with the piercing. I've been coming here for a while and I've spent thousands of dollars on jewelry, so this isn't just based on one bad visit. The only thing that kept me coming back was the jewelry selection, because they used to have really beautiful pieces. Lately though, it feels like the quality has gone down and now it's mostly cheaper, smaller jewelry, which is disappointing. But every single time I leave, I feel uncomfortable because of how I'm treated. The staff is consistently rude and dismissive, and it makes the whole experience feel off. One time I asked a simple question about changing out a backing and the piercer responded in a way that felt intimidating for no reason. I'm a paying customer, I shouldn't feel like I'm being talked down to or made uncomfortable just for asking something basic. Special orders have also been frustrating. They give you a timeframe, but it ends up taking much longer, not just a little longer, a lot longer, and there's not much communication around it. At this point, the jewelry isn't enough to make up for how I'm treated. There are plenty of other piercing shops in the Valley where people are actually kind and respectful. I have 14 piercings in my ears and was really optimistic to try this place but had a really disappointing experience picking out jewelry. Levi (working up front) was friendly but when i walked in I asked (after pleasantries) 'how longs the wait for a walk-in' she said 30 minutes and then after an awkward pause I asked if i could book an appointment? walk-in? get on the list? very awkward. I was more disappointed when Levi was the only person around to help-they didn't have the curation knowledge to help me pick out the top jewelry or give advice on positioning for the vertical helix I got. She did inform me on how forward facing jewelry is best for my piercing but the jewelry that faced forward were in the $$white$$gold$$ case. She was super informative when i asked about chains/accessories. When I was picking out jewelry Levi told me they also offer to anodize their jewelry; so, when I found a piece i liked--if it was anodized--Levi THEN informed me I would have to wait for the owner to be in, because only they can anodize. She told me i could buy an earring and have the other one anodized and come back to get it; which makes no sense to me. I guess I don't see the point in buying two low-tier $30 pieces instead of a nicer $60 piece when the reason most buy a cheaper jewelry piece it's for affordability--just feels like the original money is out the window BECAUSE their anodized selection was sparse so if you're a gold person, most of the affordable jewelry wouldn't even be available if you make a same day appointment/walk in. It wasn't until I was in with the piercer (Frank) that I was told the gem I chose ($30 and gold) wouldn't really be visible from a front angle, which i was aware of but not that this piece would be a bad fit/not look the best. At that point I had already waited for 45 minutes and there was as a line behind me--I knew if i spent more time looking at jewelry I would be waiting much longer due to sanitation processes and theirs were already [being] sanitized-- which was inconvenient but overall fine BUT they have a policy of paying for jewelry and service fee BEFORE the service. I asked if I could pay for jewelry before and service after and they said no-- which I understand policy but this is the first time i've ever paid for a service before receiving it. Especially disappointing since I had paid for jewelry where I was afterwards told it's not the best fit. But I liked their jewelry selection but wasn't as extensive, within each category of piercings, as I expected. Frank (piercer) was great, adjusted placement markings multiple times, has ginger chews for you, and a few cards on downsizing/aftercare/contact info. Piercing was as painless as a piercing can be, he had me in and out and it looks awesome! Would go back for Frank and their nicer more expensive pieces but the lack of help (or experience?) with curation and guidance being "whatever you like" after detailing what you like only to then be told after paying that the jewelry wasn't a great pick for the specific piercing is definitely preventing me from going back--unless they invest in someone who's good a curation. read more

Had a great experience with Frank today for my bridge piercing. I also needed my vertical labret removed and wrongly recalled that it was threaded, giving Frank a harder time removing it, but he was very patient and kind. I had looked up the price and saw that it was $30 for the first lobe and $25 for the second. I was okay with those prices. However, then the rip-off began. I was charged $38 for a pair of cheap earrings even though I had brought my own and these could have been sterilized at the store. Instead of $55, I paid $96 including tax. Got my daith pierced by Eric a few days ago, good experience! Eric was happy to answer any questions I had about the placement and process. The staff in the front of house were friendly and helpful as well. I had an ear curation with Ricky too, super friendly piercer as well. Everything was sterilized and I was comfortable with the cleanliness and hygiene in Halo! Price seemed reasonable for the jewelry and care (higher prices for clean properly performed piercings are pretty standard). I showed up on time for my appointment and was pierced and out of the shop in about 40 minutes, didn't feel rushed at all. They charged me a "stretching fee" since I haven't worn the piercings in years. To stretch the hole they put in the jewelry... I could have done that myself. I am happy with my experience! I heard about this place through my friend wanting to take advantage of the buddy pricing. When we got it, we quickly got our forms to fill out. They explained the piercings they would recommend. Once we picked our piercing and paid, we were brought to the back to get pierced. All very clean and everything was done quickly. The only thing I would say was for my friend's piercing, she was trying to figure out the position of where she wanted the piercing and I feel like because of the piercing she originally chose it didn't quite look how she wanted but they didn't really give her the option to change it. She wasn't the happiest with the placement with that particular piercing so she eventually wants to change it but I feel like it could have been avoided if they gave her the opportunity to switch. read more

The prices are very reasonable -- they have options for standard jewelry as well as some fancier options if you're looking for something more unique. The process of booking online appointments is very convenient and helps make the process very quick and efficient. The piercers are phenomenal as well! I can't remember the name of mine since this was a few months back & I don't see him on the website -- but he was incredibly kind and patient. Despite having lots of piercings already, my tongue piercing experience threw me for a loop with my vasovagal response. I have been shopping at this halo location for over a decade and have spent thousands and thousands of dollars here. Last week I spent $600 on new earrings and this morning I returned to get one of those earrings retensioned. I also requested 4 O-rings for earrings I purchased there because the earrings are not staying flat against my skin. The employee re-tensioned the earring and then out of the kindness of his heart, gave me two free O-rings and then said he would need to charge me five dollars apiece for the two other O-rings. Mind you you can buy a huge package of these O-rings for five dollars online. I'm not sure how why or when the customer service or common sense has gone downhill at this expensive establishment but they just lost a customer - buyer beware. Update: the employee gave me the incorrect size of the O-Ring. Not sure if this was intentional or out of ignorance. read more

They've been doing this since 1998 (at this location) so you can count on them for piercings and on top of that they have a large selection of jewelry from earrings to bracelets to necklaces to rings and everything in between. I came here because I'm allergic to pretty much everything except stainless steel and titanium. For example, I can wear 14k gold or sterling silver for about 12 hours until a rash appears (sorry if tmi). But my point is that they have a large selection of stainless steel and titanium jewelry. I've been to multiple highend jewelers hoping to find earrings with genuine (or lab created) gemstones on stainless steel (or titanium), but didn't find any that have this, until Halo. At Halo, you can find lab created gemstones and Swarovski crystals on titanium or stainless steel. For those that like gold with genuine gemstones, or prefer silver, they also have that. They have such a big and unique collection that you must take a look! Nila (n-eye-luh) helped me at the counter, patiently answering all of my questions about their jewelry. Frank sized my ear so they could grab me the right size for the back of the earrings I bought. Both of them were so nice and friendly! Parking is rough, there's a limited amount of spots that a bunch of local businesses share. I've been lucky lately to find 1 or 2 spots open. Overall, I've had a very pleasant experience with them and have already purchased 3 pieces from them. I'll certainly be back for more. read more

Had an appointment to get my second lobe piercings on a weekend. I showed up 10 minutes early. The shop had about 5 people in front of me. Took over an hour for me to get called back to get pierced. The process of checking in, selecting jewelry, and paying (before service) was incredibly inefficient. I feel bad for the people ahead of me who didn't have appointments--who knows how long they waited. Because they make you pay before getting pierced, you are basically held hostage there. The jewelry is expensive. The only positive thing was the piercer. I appreciated his attention to detail and knowledge. He took his time to make sure my second lobe piercing was positioned properly for my small lobes. Overall I appreciated my experience there but will not be back. The wait, despite having an appointment, was ridiculous. It costed $145 +tip, which I feel is pretty steep. read more

overall great experience:) i came in today (10/9/23) for a tongue piercing. friendly staff at the counter and amazing jewelry display+options! Eric did the piercing and was super quick and friendly. after leaving i noticed it was a little bit off centered from where i would have liked it. normally i'm not one to call and complain or even send back food at a restaurant, so i was super hesitant to go back in and ask for it to be fixed. i ended up calling and talking to the boy at the counter, and he encouraged me to come right back in so they could take a look at it. after a few pairs of eyes and opinions Eric and i talked through some options and decided we would give it another go and see what we could do. after some sitting and remarking the area we redid the piercing Eric was super sweet and genuine about the whole process and why/how it could've have happened, and was more than happy to help fix it. I'm writing this review to appreciate how kind he was to me about the whole experience.
