    So much gorgeous body jewelry!
    Beth P.

This is my fifth or sixth piercing at Halo, but the last one predates Yelp. Hell, it predates common usage of the internet. They've pierced my navel, both nostrils, tongue, and nipple, none of which I have anymore. So I booked my next-day appointment online, and the next day off I went to have my nostril re-pierced. The service was immediate and friendly. The shop is clean and full of cabinets featuring exquisite ear and body jewelry. My piercer, Frank, has over two decades of experience, and the job itself was practically painless--ymmv. If you want a piercing, DO NOT go to Claire's! HALO's professionals are the way to go.

    Vertical Helix Piercing

I have 14 piercings in my ears and was really optimistic to try this place but had a really disappointing experience picking out jewelry. Levi (working up front) was friendly but when i walked in I asked (after pleasantries) 'how longs the wait for a walk-in' she said 30 minutes and then after an awkward pause I asked if i could book an appointment? walk-in? get on the list? very awkward. I was more disappointed when Levi was the only person around to help-they didn't have the curation knowledge to help me pick out the top jewelry or give advice on positioning for the vertical helix I got. She did inform me on how forward facing jewelry is best for my piercing but the jewelry that faced forward were in the $$white$$gold$$ case. She was super informative when i asked about chains/accessories. When I was picking out jewelry Levi told me they also offer to anodize their jewelry; so, when I found a piece i liked--if it was anodized--Levi THEN informed me I would have to wait for the owner to be in, because only they can anodize. She told me i could buy an earring and have the other one anodized and come back to get it; which makes no sense to me. I guess I don't see the point in buying two low-tier $30 pieces instead of a nicer $60 piece when the reason most buy a cheaper jewelry piece it's for affordability--just feels like the original money is out the window BECAUSE their anodized selection was sparse so if you're a gold person, most of the affordable jewelry wouldn't even be available if you make a same day appointment/walk in. It wasn't until I was in with the piercer (Frank) that I was told the gem I chose ($30 and gold) wouldn't really be visible from a front angle, which i was aware of but not that this piece would be a bad fit/not look the best. At that point I had already waited for 45 minutes and there was as a line behind me--I knew if i spent more time looking at jewelry I would be waiting much longer due to sanitation processes and theirs were already [being] sanitized-- which was inconvenient but overall fine BUT they have a policy of paying for jewelry and service fee BEFORE the service. I asked if I could pay for jewelry before and service after and they said no-- which I understand policy but this is the first time i've ever paid for a service before receiving it. Especially disappointing since I had paid for jewelry where I was afterwards told it's not the best fit. But I liked their jewelry selection but wasn't as extensive, within each category of piercings, as I expected. Frank (piercer) was great, adjusted placement markings multiple times, has ginger chews for you, and a few cards on downsizing/aftercare/contact info. Piercing was as painless as a piercing can be, he had me in and out and it looks awesome! Would go back for Frank and their nicer more expensive pieces but the lack of help (or experience?) with curation and guidance being "whatever you like" after detailing what you like only to then be told after paying that the jewelry wasn't a great pick for the specific piercing is definitely preventing me from going back--unless they invest in someone who's good a curation.

I went and got my nose pierced yesterday for my 18th birthday and it was a wonderful experience! Levi working at the front helped me decide which jewelry would be best and helped me understand the difference between the different types of nostril piercings! My piercer was Ricky and he made me feel comfortable and it was over before I knew it!! Thanks for making my birthday unforgettable, I'll be back!!

Let me start with it's a vibe! A little pricey but a vibe nonetheless! I lost my Tragus piercing for the second time this month first I lost the back part but in Indiana while visiting my mom! Then the front a few days ago.... I was already out that way so I decided to stop by not really knowing what to expect. It was clean and they had so much jewelry that I had a had time picking but I figured it out! It was really nice but when the bill came I was a little taken aback ...lol but it's all good all in all I'd go again!

Rude, way overpriced, and really just a relic of the old 90s crappy vibe piercing shops used to have. So many better places to go.

Is Frank still at the shop?

He was gone for a brief moment, but we are back now.

Am I able to get a double nostril piercing on the same side during 1 visit?

    Absolutely

Do they offer nose piercings with a hoop to start out instead of a stud?

Yes, if you do not mind it taking longer to heal. Hoops move more and can irritate the piercing more easily.

What jewelry is offered for a belly button piercing?

Implant grade titanium and stainless steel curved barbells with or without gems. We also carry gold if you would prefer gold.

What jewelry is offered for a navel piercing?

Implant grade titanium and stainless steel curved barbells with or without gems. We also carry gold if you would prefer gold.

How much is it to get both nipples pierced with jewelry? Are you having any Friday the 13th deals?

Hello Melissa, We do not have Friday he 13th specials, since everyday is special at Halo. We do offer a discount if you pierce both at the same visit. Piercing for nipples $30 for the 1st nipple piercing & $25 for the 2nd nipple piercing, if done on…

Do you guys do a surface tragus piercing with a 90 degree barbell?

Hi Saaron, Unfortunately, we do not preform surface tragus piercing.

Has anyone gotten a vch here and what was your experience?

On average how much does the jewelry and piercing cost?

We have all piercing prices listed on our website and jewelry will vary on how much you would like to spend or how fancy you want. A basic implantable stainless steel ring start at $16 and barbells start at $30.

How much would I pay for a naval piercing including jewelry?

Navel piercing is $20. Jewelry will vary on how much you would like to spend or how fancy you want. A basic titanium curved barbell starts at $45.

Do you and can you pierce a nose with a hoop?

We will be happy to pierce your nostril with a ring, however, it must have extra room in it to allow for swelling and we do want you to know that healing with a ring can be more difficult for some people. That super cute, tiny ring will have to…

Hello! How much do you charge for nostril piercing & stud? 💕

Nostril piercing is $20. We have two options which are nostril screws (start at $20) or threadless barbells (start at $20) both look like studs. We can show you all the options when you stop in. Don't forget ID.

Can you do nipple piercing on Sunday?? If so, I have VERY inverted nipples - I can make them come out, no prob, but does someone there have experience with what gauge is best and that sort of thing?

We do and we are now open Sundays!

How much is a belly button piercing and does it include the jewelry?

Navel piercing is $20. Jewelry will vary on how much you would like to spend or how fancy you want. A basic titanium curved barbell starts at $45.

How much is a septum peircing?

Septum piercing is $25 and jewelry starts at $30 for a titanium retainer that you can hide. Captive beads start at $23 and cannot be hidden.

John was extremely helpful in helping us decide the correct size and suggested beads to help find the middle ground between fitting over her knuckle and staying in place once on her finger. John also noticed that the prongs on the ring had come slightly loose and educated us on checking regularly (and what to check) to ensure the stone stays in place. John was honest with us throughout the process, but respectful of what we needed and wanted for such an important part of our lives. Would HIGHLY recommend Oliver Smith and plan on giving them our business going forward.

This year my husband and I decided to upgrade my ring, we initially thought to buy a new ring altogether and placed and order, but after some thought, we came back and spoke with Marc, who completely understood the sentimental value of my original ring. He had us sit down and discuss what stone size they could make fit, the quality of stones (they carry natural and lab grown), that they could make my original center of my ring a pendant, and man did they deliver! The first time my fiancée and I visited, we were freshly engaged and needed her ring sized a bit smaller (from a 6). We saw that Schmitt had good reviews and it was in our neighborhood, so we paid them a visit. During our first visit, the employees (a young woman and a gentleman who was billed as sort of the "expert" on ring resizing) were very kind to us and worked with us to determine the correct size to go down to on the ring. The gentleman was extremely insistent that we need to go all the way down to a 5 and, despite the fact that my fiancée was honestly and vocally uncomfortable with it, we trusted his expertise (after all, we had gone in seeking advice) and paid to have it resized to a 5. Fast forward almost a year of us convincing ourselves a 5 was the right size, my fiancée is at this point having extreme anxiety about how much effort (and pain) it takes to put on & take off the ring every day, and we decide size 5 is simply too small. While a 5 fits her finger fine once the ring was on, getting it over the last knuckle is difficult and painful, and has been leaving the skin on her knuckle irritated and inflamed. Yes, Schmitt was wrong (and confidently, emphatically wrong), but we understand that nobody is perfect and we were totally willing to trust them again to get it right this time. However, when we visited this time, the energy we were given by the employee who "greeted" us at the door (an older woman with gray hair wearing a ton of jewelry) was immediately hostile. When we explained our situation and that we were hoping to have the ring resized (and obviously willing to pay to have it done), the woman was flippant and condescending and not AT ALL consultative. Without seeming to give it much thought, the woman asked if we wanted to go to a 5.75. While we were open to this, we pointed out that the previous gentleman we worked with was insistent that a 5 (from a 6) was the right size, so we were hesitant to go all the way back three quarters of a size so easily. The woman suggested that my fiancée's knuckle "must have grown an entire size" in the time since our first visit. She then again asked us if we wanted to go to a 5.75, with the impression that she didn't really want to go back-and-forth any longer. I understand that ring sizing is a sort of imperfect science and that bodies (and fingers) DO change, but the energy and attitude we received was seriously off-putting and, frankly, unwelcoming. We probably don't look or dress like most of Schmitt's customers, but we are nice people and can afford to shop there (not that that should matter). We left Schmitt's and took the ring to another local jeweler (see my other reviews) the same day where we received excellent, friendly, and consultative service. Turns out you can put beads on the inside of a ring that is slightly too big to help balance things out! My fiancée now has a perfectly-fitting ring, size 6 with two small beads on the inside to help stabilize it once over her knuckle. We gave Schmitt's an honest chance even after they messed up badly the first time, and they blew it. Please go elsewhere.
