Way over priced. I had a piercing that had closed up. I went there to get it pierced and at the same time a matching ear ring put in the other ear that was already pierced. I chose a very tiny inexpensive pair of ear rings as they are gonna be temporary. Apparently if you talk to the girl behind the counter and the guy doing the piercing you are charged for "consultation". I paid a total of $180. for essentially one piercing in my ear lobe and placing an ear ring in the other ear that was already pierced. Do not recommend! read more

I thought I posted this review! I brought my daughter here to get her ears pierced when she was around ten years old. She was scared and excited, the lady that pierced her ears calmed her down and she was so gently. Two years ago she got her nose pierced and last year her eyebrow. Each time it has been a great experience. We will keep coming for piercings. read more

Get someone other than Joel to greet your customers. He's condescending and rude. I've been having piercings at HTC since the 90s in the Tempe location. This one experience has cost you all my business because I won't be back. 1) telling me that your system glitch is my problem is not good customer service. I made an appointment for a reason. Joel told me my appt was at 11 not 1p. I pulled up the confirmation showed him which clearly said 1 pm! He shrugged say we can take you as a walk in but you'll have to wait. Are you kidding me? My friend noticed after I left that you system booked the appointment in a completely different time zone. Sounds like a system issue as it makes no sense that you would make an appointment for a business in a specific location in a completely different time zone. Again my problem not his. Since I had already driven over an hour for my "appt" I proceeded regardless of lacking service. 2)I was explained what I wanted and Joel looks at me and says no we don't do both ears at the same time. Since I specifically noted that when I booked my appointment don't you think that should have been mentioned sooner. Ok I get it all businesses have to have policies but he doesn't need to talk down to people. 3) I precede to make the jewelry selection and absent minded reached up and touched MY EAR AND MY EARRING that has been there for 20+ years and proceeded to bark at me not to touch MY BODY and MY PROPERTY and points to a crappy ink jet printed sign. So I sit down to "wait" for the appointment I booked. The whole time Joel sat there snickering like a petty functionary. The piercer made a half hearted effort at service recovery and had the personality of drywall. Thanks for taking something I'd been looking forward to all week and making it an unpleasant experience. I'll be sure to spend my money elsewhere because it's clear you center doesn't want it. read more

I have gone to HTC for multiple face piercings and I cannot give them enough kudos. The environment is clean, staff is friendly, piercers are very honest. Rob pierced my lobes and Nyx pierced my nose and I can confidently say I would trust them with ANY piercing. Rob was very honest when I asked for a facial piercing I didn't quite have the anatomy for, and he gave me a similar alternative option. I went back to HTC to have my nose re-pierced (old one closed up and I wanted it a bit closer to the edge of my nostril). The online appointment system was easy to use and understand. The site laid out all of the COVID precautions they are taking, which was helpful. I felt totally comfortable at HTC - excellent COVID precautions including hand sanitizer right as you walk in, and the staff - well I can't say enough how awesome they are! JD did my piercing and he is just fantastic - as a piercer and as a human! He and the staff made me feel like such a bad ass :) I'm looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for my check up. Okay so I am beyond happy with my experience here!!! Nyx was my piercer and he made me feel so comfortable. I have been getting pierced / tattooed for over 10 years but I was super scared and nervous to get my nipples pierced, which is what I went in for tonight. Not only did they take my appointment last minute, but the accomodation and warm welcome, helped immensely. He made my anxiety / fear go down like 50% because of his awesome attitude!!! The place was really clean on the inside and the piercer was very professional, but the location was pretty sketchy. I'd suggest to the owner that they move-- I'm not saying that to be a jerk, but because they're the only nice shop in that strip mall. Got my VCH pierced today by JD. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The piercing itself was almost painless and was over in a flash. I did have an appt scheduled, and he got me in and out of there within minutes. The gal up front (I didn't catch her name but I think I heard JD call her Sash) was super friendly and bubbly. Feeling her energy definitely took my mind off of what was about to happen. Afterwards, she gave me all of the aftercare instructions, as well as instructions of when to come back to down-size. Wow this studio blew me away! Called before hand because I wasn't sure if they were doing walkin's and or appointments. I wish I could remember the front desk man's name but wow he was so sweet and informative. He told me how to book online and that there was one appointment still available for Monday so I booked it! Super easy. I go in after he unlocks the door for me since they are limiting how many people are in the studio due to Covid and we start discussing jewelry and what exactly I was looking for. Nicola pierces my daith and restretches my upper lobe piercing which I thought had closed. She was super sweet, friendly and of course professional. I didn't feel anything! They of course sent me home with some simple home care and told me to come back in 6-8 weeks just so they can do a check up and make sure everything is healing properly. I will DEFINITELY be back not only for my check up but to have Nicola pierce my eyebrow and hopefully when they can do under the mask piercings again, I'll definitely come see her for that! I'm conflicted. while I did receive a great piercing and piercing experience my first time here, I have gone back 3 times to get my studs downsized and I have been turned away every time. at the time of service I was told returning for simply switching out sizes would be quick and take seniority over waiting walk ins then now on the third visit I'm told an appointment is necessary. I understand they are busy. I've been in the service industry my whole life and we're all busy but that doesn't constitute turning away already paying customers in desperate need of a service they cannot perform themselves. I just got 3 piercings done here by JD, and his apprentice Kaila cleaned/marked my ear and changed one of my hoops for a healed piercing. I got my tragus and second helix (cartilage) redone (I let them close up before) and I got my first forward helix done! First of all, I wish I had gone to HTC for all of my other piercings (lobes, industrial, navel, tragus and 2 helixes) because they are AWESOME! Everybody is so friendly and makes you feel like a badass. Sometimes I get worried going into piercing and tattoo shops because I don't feel like I "fit in." However, I felt no judgement here and everyone was freakin' rad! They were busy and moved quickly/efficiently but I never felt rushed. The shop is extremely clean and they do everything by the book. I got two cartilage piercings done in one session here and i gotta say they did a great job. its been a month and i havent had any problems with it! my body has a bad reaction to piercings in the past and my cartilage piercings are doing well with minimal swelling and discomfort. though i will say the reason for my four star review is that they are sooo pricey. you have to pay for the piercings itself and the piercing along with it. i ended up paying 180$ for two cartilage piercings /: but i cant complain because they look amazing and feel great! read more

Caring, professional, knowledgeable, and overall amazing staff. They were able to assist me with replacing a poorly sized piercing that I had received at Area 51. I'll be the first to admit when I make a mistake, and going there was a HUGE mistake. Luckily, HTC was able to save my piercing and provide more information on how to care and properly maintain it. Not to mention, I loved the precautions they are taking regarding the pandemic. Sterility was evident throughout the shop based on all the actions staff was taking.
