Stumbled upon this winery on a Sunday evening, we decided to stop by to do some wine tasting - best decision ever! The ambiance was cozy and very welcoming. Service was delightful (we didn't catch the name of our wine expert- but she was extremely sweet and knowledgeable). Also, the cutest of dogs welcomed us at the parking lot and walked us to the entrance (very impressive!). The wine was beyond delightful and bright! We came here on a Saturday October morning, right after 11 am. We were the first ones there, and were able to sit wherever we wanted. We sat outside at two adirondack chairs with a small table. My husband and I each ordered a wine tasting and one charcuterie board. The wine tasting was $20 a piece, waived with the purchase of 2 bottles. The wine bottles we tried ranged from $27 to $50 or $60 (not sure, as they did not have any printed menus for the latest tasting). We thought, from their website and yelp, that we would have both tastings waived with the purchase of 2 bottles. However, she only waived one tasting when we purchased two wines. Overall, a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the selection of wines, mostly reds with one white. The charcuterie board was small, but only $10 and it was good for nibbling. There is lots of seating both indoors and out, and it's nice to not have to make a reservation! read more

We stumbled on this winery on a Tuesday afternoon. The one we frequent St Joseph was only open on Fridays to Sundays. We came upon the tasting room area. Nice rustic area. Family friendly. You can bring your kids to explore. There are chickens and sheeps in the back area fence. Lots of herbs and plants in containers growing. Many different varieties of fruit trees was in the back. The back area has multiple sitting areas where you can relax and enjoy time with nature and company. We found plum trees, Asian pears, apples and grapes. The tasting event is $20 per person or you can purchase their bottle of wine for $27 and it will cancel the wind tasting. It's mostly red wine and a few white wines. The front foyer had a piano and a tasting room upstairs. They served very limited appetizers. Very limited. They also sell farm eggs for 6 for $3. It's a good meeting area if you are in the neighborhood. I was happy that it was open 7 days a week to get clientele who are just doing a drive to a winery. read more

We should have just skipped the other wineries and come here. We immediately had the warm fuzzies because of all the adorable, little, bouncing baby farm animals all playing together and showing brazen curiosity about what all these drunk girls are doing talking to them. The call of the wine pulled me away from all this cuteness. I found my gaggle of giggling girls sitting out back on a large picnic table. They already had wine and my glass was sitting there waiting for me. We were there on 09/18/22, and since I didn't write my review within a reasonable time, it's been almost 2 months since our visit, my memory is a bit fuzzy when it comes to the important details such as what did I drink? Where did the wines that I tasted fall upon the yumminess spectrum? I totally have no idea. What I can tell you is that Jojo our wine expert and charming, funny, and knowledgeable server was wonderful. After the arctic feeling I had after leaving Utopia, we were basking in the warm hospitality of everyone we had an encounter with at Lady Hill. While I can't recite which wines I tasted, I can tell you I enjoyed all but one and it was a Pinot. Sorry, I guess you'll just have to go out there and do a tasting flight and decide for yourself how you like it. I attended my second musical event at Lady Hill and all I can say is they need an event planner. There were at most, 50 people in attendance and only 1 person checking reservations and opening and pouring wine. It's a very unpleasant experience waiting in a line for 35 minutes to buy a glass of wine. That happened at both events. We were seated in row seating with nowhere but the floor to put our wine down while eating our cold tapas. The venue itself is a beautiful converted barn but their event planning needs a lot of help. We recently stayed at Champoeg State park (across the road from Lady Hill). We went to Lady Hill winery for the convenience of the location but we were surprised at how nice the vineyard was and how hospitable the staff was. The winery is kid and dog friendly which was great to hear considering we visited other wineries in the area that were not. We did a wine tasting while the kids did coloring books. Lady Hill Winery has my heart! Michelle was the lady who navigated our tasting and she was an absolute hoot to be around. Even if the wine we tried wasn't good (and trust me, it was GREAT), she would've made it better! First off, she let us sit outside and enjoy the weather, which the previous place we journeyed to did not. Our tasting flight was one of my favorites! It featured a Pinot Gris (which changed my mind about white wine), a Cabernet Sauvignon (perfect amount of dry), a Syrah (my favorite w/ hints of tobacco), a GSM (my second favorite) & the Cuvee (Cab Sav, Merlot, Cab Franc). We were super disappointed in this winery! It has the potential of being awesome, at this time it needs a cleaning service and an outside side maintenance! I was embarrassed for this place, I have been to lots of wineries and none have displayed such a lack of pride! The wine we tasted was ok, but not worth the price! Not a very comfortable place. I tried it out a few times because it on the way home from my new job and I'd just get a cold feeling. The vibe is a little pretentious and uptight. Wines are ok but really spending considering the caliber. Wine club candidates should understand that this is not a stop and have a testing flight once a month type of winery. It's quite plain that purchase is expected. We stopped on afternoon for a tasting and my husband felt obligated to buy a bottle. That was ok, we decided to open the bottle and have a glass before we left. (The $40 bottle was not open for tasting) I the lady behind the counter opened the bottle for us and poured each of us a glass...THEN SHE POURED A LARGE SAMPLE FOR HERSELF OUT OF OUR BOTTLE! Lady hill is open until 8pm! They have very friendly service, the outside area is very open and welcoming.. with enough space to not make you feel clustered. This was our first stop in Willamette Valley and we were very pleased. Sally is wonderful! Very knowledgable about the wines and history of the winery and area. Favorites were the Dorian Cuvée, Pinot Noir and Barbera. The property is beautiful, even while they're finishing up a remodel. The back patio looks like a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Sineann has recently moved here in November and co located with Lady Hill. Sineann has recently moved to the same as place as Lady Hill in November. We did their tasting and this was the only repeat we had from trip a few years ago. We love the feel of the place and you need to let them know you are coming. The daughter of the owner is really sweet. She served us 25 tastes since we have a wide palette of wines we like. The artwork and the glass tops are beautiful and unique. We seem to always walk away with their dessert wines, a white (Gruner Veltliner) and this time a Napa Cabernet, and a Red Hills cab. I'll always come back here when I'm in town. read more

So I'm not a total stranger to wineries. Some of them are great, some pretentious, some awkward, some just whatever. Me and my lady, we have been around the bend a time or two. That being said, this winery was an absolute GEM from start to finish. We were camping across the way at Champoeg (super pretty you should camp there immediately) and it took us about 30 mins to walk to this winery from our camping spot (perfect for drinking and not driving, ya dig?) It's October in Oregon wine country right now and it was so idyllic with the fall colors and all that...super pretty. So we get there and are greeted by the wonderful Hope. She started us out with a nice little summery white wine and took us down a journey from pretty white to lustrous, deep reds. Hope is completely charming and made us feel relaxed and happy from the get go. Also she is an expert on wine and the history of this winery. Gorgeous spot overlooking beautiful farm fields. Well, needless to say, we bought four bottles and are excited to tell everyone we know if they come down this way, head over to this lovely winery. 9/17 This winery is located out in the rolling countryside of the Willamette Valley. The barn was converted into a wine tasting room one year ago and is done very tastefully, but is still a work in progress. The staff is very helpful and the wine very drinkable. Their 2014 Pinot Noir was the best of their offerings, at least for my taste buds...Most importantly--don't miss the winery 100 yards away. Their main wine tasting area was being worked on so I would have given 5 stars If that was open. It looked very nice.
