Best Hamburger & Fries I've eaten in the 22 years I've lived in LA. I'm shocked! The hamburger & fries at Hamburger Planet located in a food truck across from Trader Joe's is easily the best hamburger & fries I've eaten in Los Angeles, an area in my opinion not known for its food. I ordered 2 seperate single burgers just on plain buns with nothing else on other than a tomato & the regular fries. Somehow everytime I order just a plain burger on a plain bun with nothing on- these restaurants look at me like I'm from outer space. Anyway the burger was cooked perfectly and tasted perfect. The French fries which they give you a huge behemoth portion were also great with 0 grease. I always try not to eat fries because they're bad for your health but this time I just said the hell with it. These were perfect. Hopefully I won't gain 2 pounds tomorrow. Total price for 2 seperate burgers on buns & fries was about $25.09. You get what you pay for! I stopped by the Hamburger Planet food truck during the July 4th fireworks celebration at Warner Center in Woodland Hills. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I waited in line for about an hour and a half, which I understand can happen at a busy holiday event. However, the person managing the cashier seemed visibly frustrated the entire time I interacted with him (this was around 8PM). He was huffing, puffing, and had an unfriendly attitude, which made the long wait feel even more frustrating. I hope he wasn't the owner I considered walking away, but after waiting 90 minutes, I didn't want to start over at another food truck and risk another long wait. I understand holiday events are stressful and busy, but customer service still matters. A friendly attitude and a little patience go a long way, especially when customers have already been waiting for such a long time. The burger was not bad. read more

This weekend i was able to try their burgers. I enjoyed how friendly the staff was and how quickly food was coming out. I normally do not like eating hamburgers but i decided to give it a shot. The hamburger was well seasoned and cooked nicely. read more

Always saw this truck posted outside the Trader Joe's in Chatsworth. Finally gave it a shot. Glad I did. The burger had solid flavor. Seasoned well. Bun held up. Not soggy. Fries were basic but hot. Could've used more crisp. Service was fast. Chill vibe. Clean enough. Didn't feel like one of those greasy corner trucks. Nothing mind-blowing. But also nothing that missed. Food was great, service was fast and he was nice, it's a food truck but it was a good spot to be and the truck itself provides some shade so it was good. I got a plain cheese burger combo with the upgraded fries for 3$ more. I got the burger plain to see how well the patty and cheese tasted. The fries I upgraded to was the planet fries and they were filling practically a main item itself. I'm not a fan of onions but the ones in the planet fries were grilled and weren't over powering like raw white onions or in n outs grilled onions. Tried Hamburger Planet for the first time at work and VERY IMPRESSED. I got the Double Cheeseburger and fries and I am so happy and full! Simply amazing! I got the melted cheese combo and upgraded the fries to the planet fries. I ate all the planet fries before I even touched the burger. It's a great play on In-N-Out animal fries, but in my opinion, they are way better fries than In-N-Out. The burger was wonderful as the melted cheese sauce mixed with the grilled onions amazingly. The combo was very filling and worth every penny in my opinion. I'm in a wheelchair and the gentleman inside was extremely helpful and offered to leave the truck to come help me order. Much respect to these guys... Good bun, good patty, veggies could use some work, cheese is good too. Only gripe I have which is kinda big (to me) is the burgers was way too salty. Fries too. At least they didn't use Morton's Table Salt. THAT'S GREAT. LOOKS like they used flaky kosher salt. Million times better for your health than Morton's Table Salt. But still, too much salting on everything. Tell the truth I couldn't finish my food... I paid a lot of dough so it was kinda sad Easy on the salt or let people season to their own taste. read more

Hands down an AMAZING SIMPLE BURGER and WINGS! The burger is perfectly seasoned, smashed thin, juicy and crispy. Fries simple and a touch of salt... Wings, I get extra well done with buffalo and ranch sauce. Honestly hands down the best, simple yet amazing food in the SFV! Plus the staff is very helpful and always professional.
