I've had deep cleanings before whenever…read moreI've had to change dentists due to moving, etc. My recent dentist had me on a regimen that was working very well where I had a teeth cleaning every three months and didn't require a deep cleaning. However, when I moved Summit Smiles wanted me to get a deep cleaning despite my numbers suggesting my teeth / gums were in good shape due to my regimen. In any event, I agreed to just get in with a dentist. They told me my x-rays may not be covered by my insurance. I agreed to that too. I get a bill from them for $71.00 for a comprehensive oral examination plus I now need to spend over $200 for deep cleanings. When I call them, the girl immediately had attitude and had to ask me my name twice and over talked me. She actually tried to project that I was the one overtalking her (lol). I could not get a word in edgewise and she just kept telling me I have to call the insurance company. They aren't the ones billing me. I hung up on her because she was just extra rude and I was not being heard. I called the insurance company to find out THEY FAILED TO LET THEM KNOW I WAS A NEW PATIENT so that is why I was being billed for the comprehensive oral examination. So they made the mistake. Needless to say, I just wanted a teeth cleaning. I didn't need a deep cleaning despite them forcing it on me. I live two hours from my previous dentist and will return to them until I find an honest dentist and one who doesn't have rude receptionists with attitude. They lost a patient and it is sad the people who answer their phones is the cause. It appears from other reviews I am not the first one this has happened to.

I waited over half hour and asked if i was going to be seen soon as i need to return to work and she said "I need to check everybody else in first" I then asked for the deposit that i paid back so that I can go elsewhere and she did not care at all just told another employee to help me. Have made numerous calls to ASPEN CORPORATE in hope to resolve the issue…read more I was advised that the local office will contact me in a week or two in regards for refund due to being overcharged. It will soon be two months and no contact from Local. Last time I contacted this local office and requested to speak to someone in billing, the rep got extremely upset and argumentative because I mentioned the word FRAUD due to a 8/31/23 claim to my dental insurance for upper and lower partials by ASPEN that I never received and my insurance paid them for it 10/23. This lead to another claim submitted by ASPEN dental for upper and lowers in 02/24 that my insurance company denied due to the previous payment. I ended up Being charged $1880.00 out of pocket.

I had been to my old dentist twice already because of pain on one side of my mouth. He took x-rays and examined me both times, but could never find anything. So I mentioned the pain to Dr. Wert. It took him five minutes to see what was wrong. He gently tapped on a couple of teeth--no pain--and then when he tapped on the third one it was clear he'd found the source of the pain. I had a crown on that tooth, and Dr. Wirt told me there was infection under the crown. He would have to remove it and clear out the infection. I was so relieved to know what was causing the pain, and that it could be fixed. I'm so glad he opened an office in Hellertown. Oh, and the office staff was very pleasant and helpful too.

She was nasty and disrespectful and laughed as she apologized when I told her she was rude. This place was recommended to me by a family member who also said the front desk person was rude but everyone else was pleasant in the facility. Not a place that I want to spend my money AT ALL. Their loss. They need to get rid of the person who answers the phones and greets people.

The staff has many times gone above and beyond for me and actually are just nice and caring people. which is the result of good hiring practices. Their team of dentists are exemplary. The operation is growing in terms of technology and while I'm sure that this increases cost, it also increases a better level of dental care, which is something that I personally care about as it impacts our general health.
