I'm just gonna say, DO NOT GO HERE! It took TEN MINUTES just to get a menu. The men's room urinal is clogged, and when I told an employee, they didn't even care! It sucks, truly. Then, just to get a drink, it took: TWENTY MINUTES! Unforgivable. And after ten minutes, they asked for our food, it took AN HOUR!!! And the food was more bland than watching paint dry! It wasn't worth the hour long wait JUST TO GET A BLT AND BEER BATTERED TATER TOTS THAT ARE BLANDER THAN WATCHING PAINT DRY!!! And it was supposed to be medieval themed, but they could at least TRY! 11 of us regularly go there to eat. But we will not go back. Servings much smaller and overcooked. Grilled cod was burnt, then scraped off, veggies cold , 1/2 the fries very cold. what happened to this place? Was no ice, so why not send out for a bag?? The waitress was very good, but not the food. Food great. Atmosphere was good really liked the singer playing some good tunes. As for service... family and I arrived with a dirty table we asked the waitress if we could get a towel to wipe off she said she'd get us one. We waited a good 10 minutes then the waitress took our order - no towel. Family thought no big deal waitress will clean the table once our food was ready. Nope the waitress gave us our food then walked off. Exasperated we got a napkin and used some water from our drink to clean the table then she appeared with a towel and had us lift up our plates so she could wipe down the table. Mid meal- we drank our drinks and wanted a refill. Seeing that the waitress was busy I asked when she walked by if she could leave us a pitcher of water on the table so we can refill because she was busy. The waitress gave me a look as if I was crazy and said " no i can't give you a pitcher-I can come back to refill". She did not come back to refill our beverages until the end of the meal. I understand she was busy but while shuffling back and forth you'd think to ask the other tables if the need anything refilled or ask how the meal is? Then waiting for the bill and boxes. We literally had to stop the waitress and request because she didn't want to come and check on the status of us eating. We had to go to the bar to pay our check because the waitress never came back to get the bill. We didn't get out with the bill paid till close to closing time and the singer was packing after his set. As we left there's our waitress outside taking down the flags. Moral of this story: food is great but make sure you are able to sit for a long time. read more

We were looking for a new Friday night place to get fish and chips and were excited to give this place try. Waitress came to table to take drink orders and was visibly aggravated when we weren't quite ready. After drinks and food were ordered and arrived at the table we received no more service...no checking to see that all was good no checking on drinks, Nada! Two hours after being seated we asked for our bill and got a snippy response that the ticket would be up at the register. Won't be back any time soon. read more

Best fish and chips ever! The service varies. Lots of times they are understaffed, and the waitresses don't even look your way for 4 or 5 passes! Seems they can only handle 1 or 2 tables at a time. Suggest using a pad and pen to write down what table needs what. Went one night and sat for 50 minutes and was never even acknowledged. I left. Won't ever go on a busy Friday night again. If you want good service go between 4-6pm. or get it to go. But one time my to go Cole slaw had a finger nail in it. I keep my nails filed and knew it wasn't mine. Apparently the person shredding the cabbage lost it while using the shredder. Maybe kitchen help wear black food prep gloves. I don't bite my nails . And the fingernail was stuck on my upper gums above my teeth! Blah! Not cool. Tartar sauce is very tasty, too. Haven't tried much else. read more

A very good job for a pub in rural Montana. Our Scottish daughter-in-law was favorably impressed. Pubby in atmosphere, lots of pulled beers which are a mix of American and UK varieties. Food is the standard bar foods of the UK with fish and chips, toad in a hole, bangers and mash and lots of other stuff, like hamburgers. Very friendly and welcoming. Open for lunch and dinner. A good break to the routine Montana meat and potato menus and the carbonated malted beverages are also a welcome diversion to the standard stuff sold all-around. read more

A nice little drive from Missoula for a change up on our night out to eat. Not impressive to the eye, the service is small townish and knows your not a local so will continue to pass you by to chit chat with others leaving you to wait an extra 30 minutes in time (between seating, menus, ordering and getting a check). The food was good (for victor) but this would be gobbled up and spit out as garbage in Missoula. With bad service and mediocre staff and so-so food is it any wonder why corporate crap food stands pop up? At least then it's reliable consistent crap and where you don't have to engage with anyone who isn't friendly for less than you average time at a drive thru window. We had lunch here for the first time today. It. Was. DELICIOUS! My husband had the chicken steak sandwich and I had the open face prime rib. They were both fantastic. I got a little cup of vegetables that were cooked perfectly, I could have had a large bowl of those veggies and made a meal of just them! My prime rib was cooked just right and practically melted in my mouth. We shared a homemade mixed berry cobbler for dessert. Husband was only going to have a couple of bites. I had to practically fight him for the bowl! Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed visiting with her. We peeked in the game room. Looks like that would be fun with a group or on a weekend night. We both highly recommend Hamilton House. You'll enjoy yourself! read more

Good pub food, great bar and beer selection. Service can be a little slow so we often call our order in ahead of our arrival. Music on some nights that is sometimes good, sometimes maybe not so great... It is really nice to have an affordable place in Victor to have a pub dinner and beer. Lovely fish and chips with the fish in a huge fillet rather than little chunks covered with batter. Their coleslaw is great but inconsistent, so it must be made by different cooks or the same cook in different moods. This is a great meeting place for friends from the Bitterroot and Missoula to meet. Big room and wifi so you can do some business and share a meal. You will enjoy it. Would not answer the phone to take an order for take out, so drove up to put an order in to go, and they refused to serve us! No one's food is worth the horrible service and rudeness. Absolutely terrible service. The food was good. We were one of 3 tables. Took 30+ mins to get our food. Salad came the same time as food. Then never saw the server again for 45 mins. There was another table looking for her too and she was handwriting our tickets at the counter. She never checked back to check on us. Tried to get the attention of the food runner as she was at the table next to us for refills and she didn't notice. Had to go ask for refills and then we didn't get everything we asked for. When she brought them we asked for another Diet Pepsi and it never came.. She didn't know if they had Coke or Pepsi. The server who took our order finally brought the check and apologized that it was an absolutely crazy night. 3-5 tables. Turns out that our "server" was actually the OWNER! So she's not used to doing it and they normally have a good waitstaff. Not according to the people we were with that said it was this way before too. The restaurant is also filthy. The wood tables are greasy. The carpet is solid black in the traffic areas. You have to walk past and see into the kitchen to go to the dirty bathroom. The decor is dirty and antiquated. It feels like you're eating at your grandparents' house, and not in the homey, welcoming sort of way. There is a lot of potential here. They need Gordon Ramsay! read more

Terrible! The decor, or lack thereof is laughable. I was excited to try this place because the outside of the building is very neat, but the inside does not match. It feels like you are in a weird old lady's house, not a scottish pub. The food was horrible, everything was fried but the frier must not have been hot enough because it was very greasy. The whole place smelled like old frier oil. The prices are not bad, but the food is not worth what you pay. On the positive side, the waitress was very nice and they have a decent beer selection. read more

We had dinner there last night, June. It was not a hot evening. The fans were all on full speed and it was cool inside. I went back to the car to get a jacket. When I got back my friends had had the closest fan turned off for my benefit but it was still cold. The service was fast, a great improvement from before. I order the grilled cod with roasted vegetables. The very young waitress asked me "Do you want fries?" I thought, oh it comes with fries also, and replied I'll upgrade to onion rings, as my husband just had. She never said "instead of vegetables". If I didn't want vegetables I would have said so. My plate came with the fish and some onion rings. I asked her where the vegetables were and she replied "You wanted onion rings." She asked me, I didn't tell her I didn't want vegetables. She said most people want fries instead of the veggies. What an assumption. She said she could bring out a side of veggies, but I wasn't going to pay for a side. I should have returned the plate and had the onion rings removed and veggies served as I originally ordered and expected. I also asked her why was it so cold and she said the owner just got new air conditioning and it is warmer in the bar room. The temp effected the food, it was not hot for long, cooled off before I could finish. read more
