The ambience was really nice. A lot of people for Monday night pretty busy. The service was great. Our server was so cheerful and nice and very friendly. The food was definitely good! The salmon was delicious. The steaks were perfectly done. The chicken tender was nice and crispy and the fried pickles are always Perfectly made and crunchy. We've been here twice now. Both times were good experiences. They have a nice menu with lots of choices. We've had the rib appetizer, catfish and salmon. All were very well prepared. The country fried steak was okay, but could have had better flavor in the meat and been more tender. The white gravy was good though. Service is great. Our server tonight was Ben and he was fabulous! A group of seven of us arrived here for a birthday dinner. We were seated immediately due to the reservation we had in anticipation of this size of a group. We were greatest by our server, "Jose" Jose was the best! He took our orders for drink, then the order for appetizers, and after a bit, our order for food. Jose provided the best service at this restaurant by being very attentive. The food, which ranged from steaks to beefy salads arrived at our table hot and fresh. The flavors were delicious. The group loved the Rattlesnake eggs which are a version of jalapenos poppers. If in the mood for a steak or a large meal, this is the place. No one left hungry or thirsty. No photos on this review. We're loving that we have one of these in Missoula! New York strip, portobello smothered chicken, Caesar salad and sweet potato were all hot and tasty. Mixed veggies just okay. The place was packed at 6p on a Thursday, but we only waited about ten minutes for a table, and our server was prompt. Gotta love the rolls and cinnamon butter. Well, it started with them giving us three out four plates with food still stuck, dried on them, top and bottom. When we finally got our food I ordered a medium steak, got it cooked to a hockey puck. I got shrugged at for that. And when it was delivered by a guy in a black cowboy hat and beard came up behind me and loudly yelled the plate and it made me jump. He rudely said I should lay off the caffeine (for which I don't consume.) Waitress was nice enough. Didn't make the way overly salty, overcooked food go down any better. Boo. Never again. I am rating my visit last night 3 stars due to the service and also how they incorrectly cooked my steak. The waitress was nice but not very attentive. She never once offered to refill our drinks and checked on us once after our food was delivered to the table and no more after that. I ordered my steak and said I wanted it medium-well. When I cut into it, it was rare at best. I know I could have asked them to remake it, but I didn't want to go through the trouble. I took one bite and decided to take the rest home and just cook it myself. The rest of the food was good and was hot when we got it. This was not our first time eating at a Texas Roadhouse, but this was our first time at the Missoula location. In general I would rate the entire chain of restaurants highly, but not when it comes to the service last night. The restaurant was not very busy, yet our waitress seemed too preoccupied with talking to all her coworkers. That paired with the way they cooked my steak was a turnoff. I never understand why restaurants ask you how you want it cooked but can't cook it the way you order it. While our experience last night wasn't the greatest, the portions were a good size and everything else tasted really good. It's always hit-or-miss when you go to any restaurant in regards to the food and service. Good service can make a huge difference in whether customers decide to return or not. Unfortunately, each waiter/waitress is different and doesn't always grasp how much of a difference good service can make in the tip they receive. read more

After a long drive from WA this was our first stop to have dinner. Our server was friendly and very informative about menu items. Overall our dinners were good, but my husband and I both ordered baked potatoes and the huge salt chunks on the baked potato got all over our plates and so when you would take a bite of soft steak you would bite down on a hard chunk of salt... not appetizing at all... I wish they would rub it off before putting it on the plates. The waitress also asked if we wanted onions and mushrooms on our steaks (I passed but my husband asked for grilled onions) without telling us it would be $2.99 for a tablespoon of grilled onions. Someone who's never been to a Texas Roadhouse wouldn't know they charge for this. read more

This one may be on me because nobody was in the mood for a steak. The grilled shrimp and rice was just bad, and it was cold. The chicken thing I had was high school cafeteria food! Not good at all. The salads we had were surprisingly very good! The chili I had as a side was amazing! I might just go there for the chili at one point. Please, please, please, just get a menu with some good steakhouse sandwiches!! A great burger, just something! The server, I think her name was Paige. She was great! As native Texans, we have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this restaurant for months and we were not disappointed. It was an extra busy night because of the Griz game, so I'm glad we got in line with the app, but this place is run like a well-oiled machine. Food was delicious. The herb crusted chicken was a little on the salty side but still tasty. Love the corn and green beans. The rolls are very good and the cinnamon butter is heavenly. The service could be better but only because things take a while to come out. It is almost always packed. We went at 11am on a Saturday. There was a line at the door, a wait to be seated and it filled up quick. It feels like a classic Texas roadhouse. There will probably be families and kids, loud music. They don't accommodate large groups well, they just split you up between however many tables you have to fit at so don't go here if you want to sit all together and have more than 4 people. read more

This was a special dinner we made a 3 hour trip to the restaurant for. My niece was visiting us from New York. The wait was a little longer than expected and other guests went to tables before us so the "kitchen wasn't overwhelmed with orders" per the host. Once at the table we ordered and first we were told all the steaks were spoken for in the case. We found out that was incorrect and we ordered our steaks. We chose 3 different steaks. Our other parties chose steaks not in the case and they came out to the table dry and overcooked. Two of guests waited on food for several minutes after other guests in our party were served and were waiting too long for sides and to be served. Drinks were not refilled nor were the steaks out of the case checked on to make sure they were properly cooked as we had asked them to be prepared. We were given one basket of bread while we waited. Apparently this location acknowledged the restaurant was being trained. Our server mentioned he hated coming into work. Some of our steaks were good and two were not good. Wait times for food and cook times and being served all together was not good. Service was sub standard. read more

Definitely not impressed. This is the first one in Montana and I really don't get what the hype was all about. The food is just not good. Tried multiple things and it's all pretty bad. Are they all this bad?The final straw was when I received a glass with old ranch or mayo smudged on the rim of the glass from who knows where. I almost drank out of it and wanted to throw up. You can keep these in Texas, Montana doesn't want them here. Also, making your employees wear shirts that say "I love my job" is creepy and based on the service I guarantee they do not love it. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin Steak, veggies, and chili. The chili tasted like it was out of a can with some cheese and onions added. the steak was very dry, but the veggies were great. Warm buns served with cinnamon butter was great. my husband ordered baked potato, chicken fried steak and chili. The lady at the front desk is super sweet, both times I've come in there just for some rolls she always has a smile on her face. Asked to sit down and eat the rolls and the manager (or whoever came up to me) said "you got them to go, so just leave!) for absolutely no reason and it was not in a nice way at all. This location just opened a couple of weeks ago. You might expect some hiccups. Not here. My steak was cooked perfectly and of great quality. The staff was welcoming, fast and efficient. The manager was actively touching tables and seemed to really care. All of our sides also tasted great including the bread, chili, salad, fries, baked potato and cactus blossom onion appetizer. They were already pretty busy at opening at 400pm on a Wednesday night so I would get on the wait list through their app. There is only one major complaint I have about Texas Roadhouse in general. The music is usually blaring so loud you can't have a decent conversation with the other guests. At this location the volume was just right. Appreciate that! read more

Last night was my first time at this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The drinks were really good- I had an old fashioned and my friend had a mango margarita. Rather--she had two! There were fresh hot rolls served as we sat down. I had the filet medallions with a portobello mushroom sauce served over seasoned rice. The filets were as tender and well seasoned as anywhere else in the valley. That plus a huge roasted sweet potato caused me to take half home with me. My friend had the Porterhouse steak-- again perfectly seasoned and cooked. She also took half home, but keep in mind that we each had a large Caesar salad and two rolls before the entres came. My only complaint that was worth losing at least half of a star was the loudness of the music. When you have a crowded steakhouse, you don't need to crank up the music because then the hoard has to talk louder to be heard. We will definitely go back there, but at an earlier and hopefully quieter time. read more

Assumed they were supper busy but as they walked us to table we passed 6 or more empty tables and when we got to our area 3 more table surrounding ours were empty and ready to be seated didn't get rolls until asked for then and after ordering it took 25 minutes to get the salad gave two stars because food was good but if they told me it was a 2 and a half hour wait I would have gone elsewhere read more
