Maybe they are all like that, but it literally just looked like she turned on her video camera and painted it for the 1st time. She had such a small space and had the original painting right next to hers so it was even smaller space and was hard to follow. Her painting also didn't look like the actual picture. And many times throughout the painting, it was hard to tell what color she was using. I've only been to one paint and sip in person, but she told us which color to use each and every time. The instructor also has no Enthusiasm and Just seemed like she rolled out of bed and was bored the whole time. Sorry but I would try online again, but if this is what online is like, I will stick to youtube, which is free. ​

A great way to get out and try something new. Painting and Vino actually takes place at several…read morelocations around the valley, but combining a night of painting... or trying something easy and fun, while having some wine or other beverage and/or food seems like a great way to spend the evening to me. Erica, who teaches the class, is there to go step by step to give everyone in a small group a chance to create their own masterpiece, or just enjoy the company if others! She will answer questions, make suggestions to help fix your errors, or prevent you from making them. She is very encouraging, and not judgmental and doesn't mind if you change things up a little as I did, when I tried this a few weeks ago. You get to take your masterpiece home at the end of the class. If you like it, hang it up. If not, do what you want Me, I like to hang things up as a reminder that none of us are perfect and you should keep trying. Maybe you just meet a new friend, or learn about others. I will post a picture of my Arizona Sunset, not because it is great... it isn't--but that doesn't mean I don't like it ; and many were better than mine (I do much better with photography), but because it was fun and might give someone an idea that yes they can do this. It is a great idea for a date night (and she even tells you how to make it a "couples painting"). It would be great for friends or a special night, or just to go do something, even by yourself as I did. The price is reasonable, in fact, I saw virtually the same painting being done elsewhere for almost 3x's the cost. Who knows, maybe you will find a hidden talent... or just have some fun doing something different!

KiKi the host was super approachable and very engaging. The teaching process was easy to learn and all of us felt successful as we worked our way through the process. Splash in a perfect pool and hot tub as needed, mix it all together and you become the best partner ever for pulling off the best birthday celebration ever! Who knew??!! Painting with Canvas is the bomb! The price is right, and they bring all the needed supplies. All we had to do was extend invites and make sure we had tables and chairs. Francesca and her assistant Lana couldn't have been more enjoyable during the event, and Stephanie - who helps support from afar - made it all seem so very easy, so much help to make this a perfect evening. One thing in particular we enjoyed was Francesca shared a lot of information about the painting we were doing as we moved through the evening - details about the artist, his life, and how it related to the painting. Who Knew??!! You can have fun AND learn at the same time! Don't worry - if you've never put brush to paint to canvas before ... if you can't draw a box (like me) - you CAN do this! They step you through each part to create your masterpiece, and along the way they help you learn technique, understand some of the painting concepts, as well as help you to enjoy painting your own creation! We will do it again, and next time, perhaps, we'll have the easels setup poolside and have everyone in the water! I can't stress enough how fun it was to host this at our home. I am not artsy, I can't even draw perfect stick people, my birds look like m's, my drawing skill is…read morestill somewhere in the 1st grade level, but there is this artist inside of me that just keeps trying and have been wanting to do a painting class for years now, just never was brave enough to step out of my comfort zone to show up in public and make a fool of myself. With that said I found a really great offer on Living Social for a 2 hour paint class for 2 for the price of one person with Painting on Canvas so I bought it an then I quickly messaged my partner in crime and see if she was up for it, and thankfully she said yes! Booked a class a month out from when I bought the deal and waited for the day. I was a bundle of nerves, I can't draw, seriously can not draw, but Francesca was super nice and helpful and gave great instructions and technique and slowly my blank white canvas started to have something on it, that looked ok. This was fun, it was stressful because I was fearful of messing up (which I did plenty of) but it was fun and rewarding, and honestly I can't wait to do it again haha. Who knows maybe the inner artist in me will finally work their way out! Now time to find my next class with Painting On Canvas.
