UPDATE #2: I highly suggest bringing your pets to BevLabs in Blue Island instead of BHAH! They have the most kindhearted and friendly staff who will treat your pets with lots of love and care. They took care of setting up a payment plan for me when they noticed I was in distress, the vet herself was incredibly thorough and kept me in the loop about absolutely everything, and the clinic receptionists are very friendly and super helpful (unlike BHAH) UPDATE #3 lol: it was a malignant tumor, so essentially they were just going to let her suffer. This feels so full-blown-Karen to do, but I have to put my pride aside once my baby is involved. I took my cat in to get some minor cuts checked and a mammary lump looked at which everybody knows is something pretty urgent/needs to be addressed ASAP. The vet (Walsh) didn't locate the mass and sent her home with a clean bill of health. Nobody told me that they weren't able to locate it until I realized that I didn't get enough information during the discharge and called back. I wanted to know what the mass was if not something malignant (if it was a cyst or a lipoma, etc.), and their answer was that they "didn't see it". So rather than letting me know that or having me show them where it was (even though it was very clearly written in the intake paperwork) and having a definite answer for me, they just made the assumption that everything was fine and WOULD NOT have told me that had I not called back on my own. No bloodwork or x-rays to double check since they couldn't physically locate it (If they even tried. It's literally right there.) They honestly should reimburse me since I have to start over again at a new vet and get her reassessed. It feels wildly unfair to have me pay in exchange for zero answers. When I called back for the third or fourth time, they said that they aren't able to see her again until two days from now. I feel extremely uncomfortable having to wait to get my cat seen AGAIN for something that should have easily been addressed the first time I was there. If this turns out to be something aggressive and they had me wait multiple days to resolve it, we're going to have a massive issue. I've been up all night worrying and I've been crying all day. They didn't take my concerns seriously whatsoever and I would never feel safe bringing her back there again. We need vets that we can trust to be thorough and will communicate/give us answers to our concerns regarding our pets. I loved having this office so close as my cat is afraid of being in the car. I'm so disappointed and scared, and I'm so worried about my baby.

It didn't make sense. When I went to pickup prescription I requested Lindsey to ask the vet to talk to me. She was extremely rude and told me I had to wait 48 hours to change script. She told falsehoods to vet and I was banned from this vet center. When I called back to understand why they were doing this she didn't respond to request. Apparently they are only interested in making money on prescriptions handled at this facility then scripts from outside pharmacies. Making $700 on an unnecessary operation was more of a necessity then treating my dog.

Dentals are extremely expensive in Chicago. Our consultation in May went great and we scheduled the appointment for the actual dental on June 25. Although I did not want to drop my cat off at any clinic and leave her by herself to be scared, I knew she was going to be taken care of by expert staff. I am very pleased with my cat's experience and dental procedure outcome. She's a happy girl with 9 fewer teeth, but no more disease and smelly breath. Got a pretty snarky email from the owner telling me no way and to go find another vet if I'm unhappy. $85 seemed like a small price to pay to keep my business given what happened. And what's more is they worked hard to make me the bad guy in the email after Emily on the phone acknowledged she knew the vet did the wrong thing. The two main vets here are still good- not hating on them. I just think it's normal if you know you did something wrong to try and make it right. Apparently the owner disagrees.

My girl Hates her.. Marco was rough and my baby tried to bite her 2 times. They took texts.. Make long story short, she over medicated her I took her off and was better in 2 days...and I told them so.. one week later Marco contacted me through texting asking how she was doing and if the symptoms come back to contact her. We have been going here for probably close to twenty years through multiple pets with varied health issues. Dr Keeley and the staff at Southlane have always done an incredibly thorough assessment of our animals and provided detailed plans for treatment and long term health. Everything is explained extremely well and information printouts are always sent home to reference. Dr Keeley is compassionate, caring and puts the comfort of your pet first. He doesn't ever do unwarranted tests or procedures. Southlane's prices are very fair, especially when your pets are getting such excellent care. Honestly, I don't know what we will do if he ever retires. They have a friendly, efficient staff with several who have been working there for years. The kindness, care and excellent veterinary medicine that exists at Southlane is everything a person could want for their pets and I highly recommend them.
